Well, honestly, I expected everything to play out in cliché anime comedy fashion with Alex regaining her consciousness when Steve would try to do mouth-to-mouth, getting embarrassed and hitting him f. e., but I was wrong and Steve actually have done it, even then I expected for them to be embarrassed after it's all behind, but I was wrong again and they behaved like actual people after stressful situation. I love how this series plays with contrast and expectations using meta humor when it wants to be funny and trying to be more realistic when it’s serious.

This series is prime comfort food. I like how they always act on raw impulse. It's so direct, honest and (usually) straight-forward and uncomplicated. They're like children in a way - in the best possible way. There isn't even dialogue, only actions. There is no need to overthink anything. No anxiety what to do with your life and trying to be productive. No numbing need to force yourself to be "rational" or "mature". No empty standards to chase after so you are merely allowed to feel okay about yourself. They don't need to be rational or selfless to care about another. They don't need to force themselves to develop unique talents or get something done. Everything develops so naturally and effortless. I wished my life could be more like this.

For all the times Steve pranks Alex it’s great to see how concerned he was to save her. Also, that hug at the end was wholesome.
Well, honestly, I expected everything to play out in cliché anime comedy fashion with Alex regaining her consciousness when Steve would try to do mouth-to-mouth, getting embarrassed and hitting him f. e., but I was wrong and Steve actually have done it, even then I expected for them to be embarrassed after it's all behind, but I was wrong again and they behaved like actual people after stressful situation. I love how this series plays with contrast and expectations using meta humor when it wants to be funny and trying to be more realistic when it’s serious.
Alex had a realistic and sensible reaction to the situation, unlike cliche anime girls lol

This series is prime comfort food. I like how they always act on raw impulse. It's so direct, honest and (usually) straight-forward and uncomplicated. They're like children in a way - in the best possible way. There isn't even dialogue, only actions. There is no need to overthink anything. No anxiety what to do with your life and trying to be productive. No numbing need to force yourself to be "rational" or "mature". No empty standards to chase after so you are merely allowed to feel okay about yourself. They don't need to be rational or selfless to care about another. They don't need to force themselves to develop unique talents or get something done. Everything develops so naturally and effortless. I wished my life could be more like this.
