Nobody experienced any injuries, best of all.

    • Intercontinental. And no, a normal rocket flies exactly the same way. Both go up, and then sideways as they discard stages. An ICBM, or IRBM (Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile) burns out before it reaches orbital velocity, and so it falls back under a ballistic path to land on earth again. The only difference with an orbital rocket is that it keeps accelerating until it reaches orbital velocity, which essentially means it is going so fast that by the time it has fallen far enough to hit the ground, it has traveled over the horizon and the ground has dropped away under it, so it never actually reaches the ground. Without air resistance, it just maintains this speed and keeps 'falling' around the world. This is what we call "orbit". None of that applies to the model rocket. It just fucked up and went totally sideways and crashed, which no rocket should do (except maybe very short range missiles).
