Get the BNF-DJI version if you're using the DJI Controller. You'll also need a few more things if this is your first Digital FPV Drone.
Batteries I used - amzn.to/3IrgXO9
These quads and batteries use XT30 connectors so they're smaller than your typical XT60s. You'll wanna also get some adapters to charge them on most chargers. Like these - amzn.to/3DtfROb
Charger - amzn.to/3lH4wnD (There are cheaper ones but this one's my favorite cause it's small, charges 2 at a time, and you can power it off a big battery with an XT60 to recharge smaller batteries out in the field - But make sure you look up how to charge LiPo batteries properly before using, these things can blow up)
Goggles (If you got the DJI FPV drone, you can use the same goggles but not the controller) - geni.us/POoq3
Controller (Mode 2 is most common) - geni.us/Z0Hnj1

  • Quick tip for any newer pilots who didn't already know. If you do happen to crash into water and can recover the drone, unplug the battery before you take it out of the water. The electronics typically short and burn components as they are removed from the water. Obviously this can't guarantee your gear will survive, but you can increase the odds at least. Happy flying!

    • can rinse with alcohol or better, de-ionized water first - but I usually just rinse under tap water and ten flush with isopropyl alcohol then it dries pretty quick

      @jermadjesty@jermadjesty2 жыл бұрын
    • key is to get the minerals off from the water, once with cleaner water and then the alcohol to get everything

      @jermadjesty@jermadjesty2 жыл бұрын
    • @@jermadjesty but you agree with disconnecting the battery under water? So if it’s floating submerge it first?

      @Fee.1@Fee.1 Жыл бұрын
    • But why? Doesn't it short out the second it is submerged because of the electrolytes? Is it because the water forms more direct paths once there is only a little bit of it as you pull it out?

      @athmaid@athmaid Жыл бұрын
    • @@athmaid basically yeah, while submerged the electricity tries to go in all directions equally. Once out of the water it moves directly and that's when it damages components.

    • @@AiringAustin you progressed out of the simulator? If you are flying open fields try fly near things that give you a reference, e.g. a cricket pitch, and while it's dull practice a series of manoeuvres. It's largely about the stick time. I often practice some dumb things like cruising along and repeatedly throwing the quad to a specific height, dropping and catching at a certain height, it's good to get used to the throttle control and hang time. Figure of eights, rolls etc and make sure you practice both left and right so you don't develop a bias. Lots of options of things to practice

    • The Go 2 records gyro/accel data as part of its recording, it's how it applies the stabilization. There are flight controllers that use GPS data and can be programmed to fly a specific path, obviously it needs the extra weight of a GPS, in theory you could do something similar with gyro/accel from the flight controller, but in practice drift will add up real quick.
