When Loki says to thanos that you will never be a god, this is later shown in the film when the heroes in the battle of Titan manage to make thanos bleed and in iron man 2 Ivan Vanko says to tony that if you can make a god bleed then they are not a god and this was shown in infinity war.

In that movie, Whiplash tells Tony “If you can make god bleed, people will cease to believe in him,” and when Tony fights Thanos 1 on 1, he makes him bleed, and from that point on he gets battled with more ease for the heroes, but he still ended up winning
