@@101academics Naruto was not getting clobbered lol. His main asset at this time was multi shadow clone taijutsu. He was able to escape Sasuke's underdeveloped Sharingan (when Sasuke lept in the air, he didn't spot Naruto above in the water tank in the sunlight glare), tank his fireball jutsu like nothing, keep up with Sasuke's taijutsu and his Rasengan was more developed than Sasuke's Chidori (which is why you see Sasuke react angrily to Naruto destroying the water tank). Naruto literally would've won by a small margin lol. Why do you think Sasuke was so moody? Because Naruto proved he was just as if not stronger than him post-Chuunin exams by beating Gaara (who was destroying Sasuke in their fight in the forest) and using S-rank ninjutsu (summoning jutsu, Rasengan). In fact, Sasuke also would've lost in the final valley had he not had Orochimaru's curse mark buff him considerably and while you can argue that Naruto also got considerable help from nine-tails chakra he far outclasses Sasuke in normal chakra reserves even without it.

Naruto beat Gaara because he used nine tails chakra, which is way overpowered compared to the curse mark, and frog summonings to help. The amount of assistance Naruto got was non comparable to Sasuke who did everything on his own mostly. Now on the Valley. Sasuke with his abilities vs Naruto with his own abilities, Sasuke was clobbering him. To beat Sasuke he had to resort to ninetails chakra and then Sasuke responded with curse mark. Before that Naruto was getting decimitated against Sasuke. It's like you guys never watched the animed. And even with Naruto and all his ninetails buff he still lost lol. Talk about being a loser. Just re watched the fight. Naruto actually had to use ninetails chakra against 2 tomoe sharingan lol. Sasuke was slobbering him up to that point. Sasuke followed in kind by using 3 tomoe sharingan and abosuletly crushed a ninetails chakra imbued Naruto. Naruto had to go into 1 tailed beast form to fight evenly. You people honestly need to stop with your biases and go re watch. I've always said Naruto gets clobbered without ninetails. Literally has one like 2 fights without ninetails chakra lol. How does narutos attack do more damage
It’s highly compressed energy so once it gets released inside something it does a lot of internal damage. The chidori is very powerful too but it mostly penetrates and does damage within the area of impact

This fight really did show how outmatched Naruto is 1 vs 1. That shadow clone jutsu really is a sign of weakness. Naruto can never seem to win a fight without that or Kurama.
Same can be said by Sasuke without sharingan 😮💨 Sherlock

@arceus51214 Sasuke has much chakra as Naruto without Kurama. Sasuke can use shadow clones as well but doesn't because it's a sign of weakness. The move signifies you need help rather than doing things on your own. Like I said you're not too bright.
