The King wouldn't abdicate because he wants his son to have some family life before he takes on that burden. As for the gruesome twosome they are not wanted in the slightest in the UK. God save the King and health and happiness to the rest of the Royal Family.
I hope the King has a long reign and recovers from this cancer. Prince William is a magnificent man, father, husband, son, Prince and future King. Tom, spot on with his comments once again. The Royal Family should continue to keep a dignified silence regarding their thoughts on Harry and Meghan. The obnoxious pair have shown their true colours and should never ever be trusted or welcomed back into the fold. In the past H&M turned down so many invites from the family, even a number from our beloved late Queen so the Royal Family can now have a clear conscience in not inviting the Sussex family to any family or Royal events in the future. Yes. Lady C has friends at Harry's PR agency WME who said Harry only went because his agent told him he needed to for the optics. Of course Harry chose what he knew would be a bad day for Charles since it's the anniversary of George VI's death, which Charles spends in prayer and contemplation at Sandringham since his grandfather passed away there. To ensure coverage, WME sent out a press release and had Harry fly commercial so there would be witnesses, he hired his favorite rent-a-pap Backgrid to photograph him boarding and disembarking the plane, and carried two large suitcases to give the false impression that he was willing to stay and help.

My husband had stage 4 colon cancer almost 20 years ago. He had chemo but not radiation. He has had colonoscopies regularly and the last one gave him a clean bill of health. It’s often no longer a death sentence.

So, it now looks like even another dimension has been added to this sorry tale in that, if the real reason Harry came to the UK was to sign the papers relating to the settlement of his claim against the Mirror Group and NOT primarily to see the King, he used this as an excuse so that he could get FREE police security while he was here. Someone else on this site commented "A televised motorcade to Buckingham Palace upon his arrival at Heathrow". He's not entitled to such security if he's here on personal business so the British taxpayer has also been conned. I hope the Home office is looking into this.

I firmly believed that the Queen has worked very hard for years and behind the scenes too. She is of great comfort and support for his Majesty and is his rock just as he is hers. I loved Diana and I hate people saying things about her, but she was so young and like the rest of us made mistakes. We all change over the years and most of us hopefully for the better. Harry was also dead silent the last 2 months or so when Charles and Catherine were named " 2 royal racists". It's important to remember that Harry never defended them or denied that they were racist. He let the whole world believe what they may. So he can make all the dashes home with fake feelings of concern all he wants. Firstly why did Megan bring it up in the first place if it was not intended to be seen as something racial and without naming names, thereby throwing suspicion on all the family. Secondly, at any time, either of them could have defended his family. Therefore to claim it was the press that made the accusation is calculated to either, avoid any public condemnation, or malicious. Either way what sort of man allows the world to think his close family is racist.

That friend said Harry was really upset because he didn't know that Meghan and Scobie wrote another book until he saw Scobie on the news. They had agreed to drop the racism accusation after Oprah because it was one comment by one person when they were first dating. (Tom Bower, who wrote a critical book about Charles, investigated. Camilla was talking about how their children might look and said the baby could have have a ginger afro. Harry laughed. But when he told Meghan, she got angry and said that was racist. Then Harry became angry. I'm US mixed race myself and think a ginger afro would be freaking cool.)

His conduct at the NFL awards clearly showed he couldn’t care less. A doting son would either decline to present the award, opting to spend quality time with his pop or appear at the awards in a more reserved manner. I agree entirely with Tom Bower’s analysis of Harry’s suspect motives concerning his impromptu visit to his father. It was disingenuous and self serving.
