Woodturning - The Apple Tree Lamp

Bit of a story behind this tree trunk, must have been about 3 years ago the Mrs was looking online for something and found this Apple tree trunk advertised as "free", the previous owners had cut the tree back many years ago and just left this in the ground, seemed a shame to let it go to waste, so off we went to force it in the back of the the car!
I then started to turn it around about January last year in the old workshop, then left it until recently to fully dry out.
Finished in several coats of Danish oil.

This is absolutely amazing! I couldn't figure out how this was going to come together but oh my gosh, I absolutely love what you did. This would go so well in my house... I have knotty pine walls and ceilings, this would fit in beautifully. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Yes, very nice. I figured you were going to use resin when you cleaned out the places at the bottom of the trunk. It turned out beautiful.

Hi Matt the apple wood is lovely I did wonder what you was going to do with the apple wood when you cut into sections but the putting resin with it was a fabulous idea . This spinning device must handle serious forces/torques as the wood was not symmetrical in the beginning. Impressive!
