  • This is music❤️ not the music of today even the dance too much profanity. So of these artists need to take lesson from these legendary originals Jamaican singers. Freddie One of my favourite artists of all time, my favourite song is Big Ship, as for myself I will listen to these legendary artists all day long. I would pay any amount of money to see a show like this.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • I remember going to see John Holt at Hammersmith Apollo . I was late getting there because it was raining cats and dogs so I only see the end of the Freddie McGregor performance I was a bit gutted. But forgotten shortly when I see John Holt my ultimate Idol in all of music since 1990 . As a white man I have promoted John Holt's music since 1990 with family and friends did not really listen to reggae music until they listen to Johns singing . And you know how it goes the rest is history . Hardcore reggae fans for life. Yes I know I'm waffling 🥱🥱👍🇬🇧🇯🇲

  • John Holt and Freddie McGregor's music brings me way back to my High School days in Jamaica. These musicians along with Bob Marley, the Clarendonians, Toots and the Maytals were just starting out. Ska was on its way out and Rock Steady was the new craze. This was a time in my life I will never forget. I had so much fun it is unbelievable. Watching this video just rekindled that childhood spirit in me. It has been almost 60 years, but it still feels like yesterday. Oh, what a feeling, I love it.

  • I’ve been listening to John holt for decades. Some years ago in the early 1990s he did a free summer concert in NYC Central Park . I remember I had to work that day but by hook or crook I was going to be there cause I had never seen him in person before and I did not know what he look like. He was wearing these black leather pant looking so sexy. When he stared to sing STICK BY ME I screamed and grabbed the hand of the old woman next to me who was equally as excited as I was, only to realize that it was my mother. She had taken the train to Central Park by herself just to see the legend. True story

Just finished work on Sunday turned up all wet and dirty I was one of a few white men there . I felt so embarrassed because everyone else look like superstars . But anyway when I see my ultimate artist since 1990 at the age of 13 . To me he put out the greatest volume of great tracks . Apart from the John sings hip hop House RNB awful album. Well we are all entitled to 1 bad album and that was John 1 . But it is still how king of music . My apology for waffling 🥱🥱 👍🇬🇧

    • The Rastafarian, has been a great rock of ages to the #GlobalAfrikancommUNITY Rastafarians, are our teachers of #BlackPride #BlackHistory and #BlackAchievements on Earth. Their contribution to music, their reggae music, has brought a great message of peace, love and harmony to the world. Their way of life culture even their diet of not just vegetables, but raw vegetables, is a great example. It it has served them well, and given us all a great example. I'm personally most honoured to have started an online campaign for Black people, to have a single Household Union, umbrella organisation representing and protecting our social, political, economic and spiritual interests. Which has had the support of such great music artist as John Holt, Freddy McGregor and Luciano Jah Messenger. Who have all had the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, play with them, spreading the love of reggae music. 🏘️ #UMOJAisourMIGHT🖤 #UnityisourMIGHT🖤 #UnityIsStrength🖤 #TOUCHONETOUCHUSALL💞 #EachOneTeachOne🎓 #TRUST🎗️ + #RESPECT🎗️ 👇🏽 t.co/DWtLHUdyfl🖲️ @BlackpoundUK💷 #BlaxkTwitter🖲 UK Black Family Household UNION🏠 - Making #TheBlackpound Work For Us

Although in the 80's I took my eldest brother's Freddie McGregor brilliant album, because I loved the track, "Somewhere". 2016 Wandsworth Council employees Stole it. These Wonderful tunes, some being reggae versions of African American artists, would be coming out of the rooms of my Mum and siblings rooms. Found this concert by chance, and had to send it to siblings. Brilliant concert.🎶🎼👍🏾

  • This is a beautiful medly sample of reggae music., coming from the legendary Freddy McGregor. Isn't it amazing how each generation of young people are always leading the way to the future with their rebellion and choices. It reminds me how we mature people couldn't be held back from the things we loved; going to clubs, shubin, blues and all that went with it... Reggae's musical message is probable more wise spread than when I was young. Now, while it seems like other modern genre are very popular yet reggae continue to work it's influence in the background and influencing the world's peoples. Blessings to all. 😊🖤❤💛💚😊 🎶👫🏾👥🤝🏼🎶

  • Saw John Holt at the Empire room, just north of Miami in 2007, doors opened up at 10 Holt walked in at 2AM and performed 🎉until dawn. The club was packed, serious herb smoke fill the air and everyone ĺoved it. I will never forget that night we danced till dawn. Looking back, I wish that I would have married my Caribbean sweetheart

  • This Concert was done in 1st class - the two female background singers sitting there singing and looking so royal and majestic filled with class and beauty. no gyrating, or sexual exposure or nasty dancing, no body exposure, just natural beauty and class, not too mention they're perfect tone and pitch for both singer that night. so much props to these women who ever they are and to all the participants in this concert as the music was well done and the musicians displayed so much class as well as Freddie McGregor and John Holt. The only song I missed was Big Ship Sailing on the Ocean. Thanks! to a concert that did not make a man of God feel dirty.
