Holy dear god. I need a VW V10 TDI in my life at one point. These things are torque monsters.
Doesn't 1300Nm tear transmission to dust? That's torque as hell!
The best part is, the car doesn't "look" fast. It's a sleeper. Then you can roll up next to just about any supercar, and take it for a walk.
Diesels are very difficult to be proper sleepers.

- sometimes the transmission go in service mode, but is normal 1300 N.m. are too much for this gearbox. after restart the engine everything is ok. - for everyday we use only 550 h.p. After the last modification the max speed is around 330 km/h with a lot of nitrous :D - 15-30/100 km - never test with biodiesel, only with meth, nitrous and kerosene :)
Thats why there is almost no smoke because you use much meth, nitrous and kerosen ?
@@SnakePliskinXX if a diesel smokes, there Is too much fuel. You can program every modern Diesel without a dpf to Not smoke

Hi, thank you first. the power is on the crank! for more power have to upgrade the gearbox, because 1300 n.m. are the maximum of the gearbox. the car is 2600 kg. and the best time is 12.7@1/4 mile

Is the transmission still ok? In a normal day use you only use about 550hp and THE 704 hp (nitrous) in a race? How many liter you use for 100km? Have you tested biodiesel 100% ? (green monster HULK)
960 lb ft of torque!? Now that sounds like my kind of ride. I think if I can find the deisel I'm going for it, I was initially looking for the V8 or W12 but now the V10 seems much more appealing to me. Very nice ride.
Oh really? Good luck servicing this one, especially in US half of the shops doesnt know how to service it or wont recognize it from a passat.
They really are the best ones. The W12 and the V8 both use more fuel and are generally more unreliable. The V10 also does not have a timing belt/chain, but rather uses gears, meaning that it will last you a lifetime. In the W12 or the V8, if the belt/chain goes, you've got to pull the entire thing out because the chain/belt are on the back. Stupidest design to ever come out of Germany those engines. They're great and awesome, but I'd stick with the V10. Apart from problems with the Turbos and less Horsepower they are still the best.

When the gearbox is not on service mode, is it still slow? I mean does it sometimes work like it should with these upgrades? How much do you charge for these performance upgrades?
are there any odder mods than just an ecu remap to go from 313 hp tot 550hp ?

more than 50 000 km after performance, the problem is sometimes the gearbox is into service mode, and gearshift very slow. but we stil never broke no one gearbox :)
What size those tyres and wheels? im looking to update on bigger but, dont want to guess what looks good >D

2600 KG so heavy.But that torque can help.Otherwise it is a beast.I miss old school VW when they did skme crazy engines.

How many miles does it have? I thought all the VW tiptronics are rubbish with diesels what comes to reliability? How can it handle 1300nm torque? :O

Is this not a video of the w12? You can see the exhausts in the clip but the v10 exhausts are hidden. Also the Phaeton v10 didn't have a particulate filter so I would expect black exhaust fumes under load but this car runs clean...
+Alexander Holmes this is absolutely a V10. I have one and it sounds just like a V10. W12 has a completely different sound. Also, there are other videos of this car on the internet, some with lots of smoke. ;)
There is no smoke here becouse it runs on kerosine in this clip, not diesel

i read somewhere that these v10 tdi engines dont fare so well without exhaust back pressure. this was coming from a guy who specializes in tuning tdi's something about the turbo's fail early when you take away back pressure. ie straight pipes.
+euroaaRON1 i read ist when the bearings from the turbo are old. If you then put some straight exhaust on it can be bad after some time.
By the sound of it your 'tdi tuning guy' hasn't got a clue.
ricky302v8 i dont have a "tdi tuning guy" go read some forums its not hard to find posts about turbos failing on these engines especially after going straight pipe.
The fact that you think a car (especially a turbocharged car) needs backpressure renders anything you say moot.

Bullshit. V10 generate over 1000nm at Factor setup remap about 400hp. At 700hp it be nearly 2000nm.
No it wont, 5.0 V10 has small displacment per cylinder and 1300nm sounds realistic with 700hp, extreme tune. If you want more torque, go see american pickups with 6.6 and 6.7 liter V8 engines they have bigger voulme per cylinder and thus more torque.
