In this episode, I meet Tami and her dog, Isaboo. Isaboo has been terrorizing the dog park by biting everyone! Isaboo has even drawn blood.
The dog park community has almost reached their breaking point and may have Tami leave the community.

  • It amazes me that people still bring their aggressive dogs to the dog parks, expecting everyone else to adapt to their dog.

    • So true! A cuple of months ago I was walking my dog (he is a big dog), we got to an open park, I stoped to change him into a longer leash and a woman started shouting at me not to unleash him, I told her I was just changing his leash and that he was really friendly and she said “Oh, but my dog is really agressive”, and her dog was unleash 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's about body language, posture, eye contact, interpreting the dog's responses, repetition etc. He knows from decade-long experience how to put a dog into submission and then reinforces the submission with conditioning. He's actually been criticized for that by "experts" (animal rights people) who said that the gogs become almost slavish as a result of his methods.

I have a relative who likes to call herself a dog/animal expert, and she has NO control over her dogs. She constantly shouts/yells at one who doesn't respond to her commands (who wants to respond or agree to anger/anxiety?) and the other who she rewards with food when it acts out or is super nervous/anxious. People need to stop buying rescue dogs unless you know WTF you're doing.

    • Over the years I have trained both dogs and horses. In nearly all cases it has been the owner/family that needed more instruction, training or re-enforcement than the animal, usually because they love the animal so much they can't bring themselves to be "mean" and correct their beloved pet. It's not easy to walk that line of tough love with strangers but it is so worth it when you see the animal understand and even find comfort and a new sense of security and trust as they learn the boundaries.

Consistency consistency etc. Usually as soon as a dog is out of sight of the owner and after 2 minutes on leash or whatever they “get it” and stop acting up. I think this poor little toother is just doing what he thinks his owner wants because she is responding with excitement etc. instead of actually correcting them.

So much so that when I became an adult and got dogs of my own I found myself like instinctively acting the way you train humans in the show and it was so easy to train them from puppy up to 10 years old both of them now. They are amazing. Not as good as if you had them yourself lol but they are wonderful. My male has been attacked on 4 separate occasions at dog parks etc and he just runs to me to take care of it. He’s a giant sweetheart and listens to hand and verbal commands. Both of them. You would love them as they would love you! And they owe their happy lives to all the episodes of your show I watched for years 😊😊. I’m glad to see you’re still going at it!

  • There should be a dog drivers license, and people should be obliged to take the basic course in dog education before getting the license to own a dog. When I decided to get a dog, from a shelter, I spent 6 months, at least, watching Cesar episodes, and reading up on how to handle a dog. When I finally found my lil friend, a Jack Russell Terrier, about 4 years old est. when he was found some months before, we spent hours every day during the first year together in a park building both mine and his skills, and in the process developed a strong relationship and mutual trust. He's been with me since 2016, and is basically always raising people's eyebrows for being so calm, obedient, and well behaved, no matter if we're in a café, bar, bus, train, etc. In civilised places, he knows the rules, and when we're out in the fields and forest, he can be as much dog he wants to, living his best life. Thanks Cesar!! ❤

    • Agreed! People always stop me & my pack of five dogs walking in the street & ask me how I keep them so calm & well behaved, quiet, all walking together... When I tell them I follow the "Cesar Milan method", that I am the Pack Leader, I stay consistent & in control... The person immediately says "Oh, THAT guy. He's so Alpha, he's so dominant, he's so.... I've heard so many bad things..." And I say "Right. You were just complimenting my pack, & me walking them, now suddenly the guy who taught me how to keep my pack in control is the guy you 'heard so many bad things' about. Meanwhile YOUR dogs haven't stopped lunging & barking at MY dogs who haven't even reacted. Think about it. Good luck with all that. Have a nice day." Humans. Sheeeesh!

Your not bieng mean to your dog. You are just correcting whats the problem. I always been loud and show certain energy to a dog to listen to me. Without breaking thier spirit.

Maybe they said "we have a dof trainer coming " but didn't say who. People are too cynical. Also, she may have known he would be there but didn't expect to meet him as she did and was clearly a bit star struck. Her reaction looked pretty genuine.
