  • Keep it going Chris. Your randomness and lack of "polish" and overproduction is what makes your channel great.

  • I think that's a $10k car all day long. Unmolested LeMans that aren't rust buckets are really tough to find. Especially with the convertible top. You made a few bucks and somebody got a good base to start with for a fair price.

    • Yup, $10K all day long. You gotta consider including the tools used in price when resurrecting rigs like these, even if you didn't do too much. $10K would've been fair since most of the work was done... somewhat.

I've never seen an organized shop with so much stuff in it, it's nuts. I laughed when you tried to remember where your spark plugs were. • Chris you made a good choice buying it , you helped Robert too by not low balling him. You made a fair deal selling it, which in turn made 2 people happy. On the plus side you made a quick profit not bad at all. Gus is always one of the highlights of the videos. Take care brother. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

  • With this car being one of the sexiest body styles made with the vert and all, she deserves a proper "body off" resto with a good dipping of her frame. That's just a good and proper start to have such an AWESOME car like this... This is obviously one of my favorites from the 70s. At least the MID 70 bodies. This thing makes my pants a little tight in certain areas!!!

I also remember a 442 parted in the garage. I even lived with my Grandparents in 1968 and went to 1st grade around the corner. Great memories of a friendly neighborhood. My Mom and her younger sister and brother were die hard Morrisville Bull dogs. My Grandfather raised 3 generations of "Jeff" the Bulldog mascot.

  • She sure looked like a runner to me, after I saw the engine compartment I figured it might be a "throw a battery in" kinda thing and it pretty much was. Good on you Chris. Valuing cars is always dicey. My dad is a lot like you, independent mechanic in central Oregon, works mostly on BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Now getting close to retirement he likes buying fixer uppers and I help him with the online stuff, finding, buying and selling. So I know how weird valuing cars can be. Always good to see the wrecker doing good, loved the wrecker series. Love the new garage, exactly the setup you deserve. Keep it up Chris, I will keep watching.

  • Chris, You did very very well on the flip. The time and cost of all the body work, rust and Mechanical for dependability is more than it's worth. Keep up the amazing videos 👍 I love watching you revive these old forgotten vehicles. I still have my 1979 Dodge Magnum XE GT I bought brand new in 1979 and still with the original paint. Now 44 years old. It's Always been kept in the garage and still looks like show room condition with 25,000 miles on it. It's hard to watch all of these amazing cars succumb to the elements.

So far rear springs to get ride height back correct, shocks, tires, correct center caps and lug nuts, plugs, wires, new dual exhaust system, detail motor, deep clean top and interior, removing yellow overspray. Have removed a/c compressor to replace and starting on convertible top hydraulic leak hopefully tomorrow. It’s a great car. Wish I could post a picture to show progress. Glad you found this Chris.

  • So in Fay,NC there was a 69' Judge 4spd car that I always had seen since I could remember. It's my favorite car ever so every time the wind blew that tarp up on the right front fender I knew what it was. I kept telling my dad I wanted it.One day when I was 17 and coming home from church I stopped and started talking to her.I offered her $5stacks at the time and she said yes.She only wanted $3500 for it.I told her it was worth more and as soon as I uncover it they'll come like moths to a flame, and they did.The car was pristine with 25,000 miles on it.Just the right front fender was faded from the tarp always blowing in the wind.We got that car running after sitting for so long and I remember my pops leaving out of there sideways in a car that sat for years lol..We cleaned everything, replaced gaskets and whatever else needed to be done.I also had a 71'Chevy Longbed that I had lowered and hot 283 in it that I drove from the time we bought it as a junk truck to being entered in show's in the daily driver class which I won many awards.I drove the Goat all the time I loved having my favorite car ever and it was mine from my money working the farms and my car detailing business.Me and dad got into it and I packed up and caught ride to BMore where I was from for the summer.I decided to stay with my mom.So I left my truck and car at dads till i had work to bring them here. No one told me but my father sold both of them together for $60 grand and bought a beach house at Myrtle Beach with our my knowing.I was devastated and I didn't talk to my father for almost 12yrs cause he signed my name on my titles and sold my vehicles I worked so hard for and saved everything I made to have them.Since I can't afford a real GTO anymore I always keep my eyes out for a Leman's or Tempest to get and Clone that old Judge for my sanity.Hell they're expensive as hell also.So one of these days I'm gonna find me a 68-69 And Clone it up.There just something about that Carousel Red,a modern 6speed and a Super Charged 6ltr LS in it to be my daily driver in my 50's now.I'll keep a truck and drive the heck outta my modernized Judge clone LoudLove

  • Nice car! I’ve been a fan of the ‘70-72 Poncho since I bought a 70GTO in 1985. I’ve owned almost a dozen since then. This one had all the LeMans Sport appearance options and none of the performance stuff. Nearly every convertible I’ve seen had A/C. Power steering and manual/front drum brakes was an odd order but jives with the manual windows I think. Ya did good on this one! A convertible A body GM anything from those years have been bringing some good money for a couple of decades now. I had a ‘70 LeMans Sport that I drove from Daytona Fl, to Cleveland OH and From the Beach in S. Carolina to Pismo in Ca. (Not all in one trip but over a few years) The GTO did 7.90’s on a local 1/8 mile drag strip and had working A/C! (455/Turbo 400). Nice driving, comfortable cars with great performance and good looks too! You would have enjoyed owning and driving that one even without the performance stuff.

  • Somebody had their priorities wrong when they ordered that Pontiac. Power steering, air con, convertible, rally wheels and auto, but two barrel carb, single exhaust and unassisted drum brakes? Definitely built for show and not go or stop either for that matter. I still shake my head at the brakes. Good deal and a good sale, the buyer knew what he was buying as much as you did and I think offered you a fair price. You know what they say about convertibles, as the top goes down, the price goes up and they are not making anymore of those Pontiacs. Cheers mate, Stuart 🇦🇺

  • Chris and Jen are easily 2 of the nicest people on YT, I've lost count of how many times Chris has pulled over to help someone obviously struggling on the side of the road. So I'm a little surprised to see some of those who profess to enjoying their content piling on the little old lady who asked a perfectly reasonable question of a stranger taking photo's of a car she obviously knew didn't belong to him, at least before he told her he'd just bought it, at which point she took him at his word, no harm, no foul. To me she behaved like a concerned citizen watching out for a neighbour is all, something we could all do with a little more of IMHO, and so what if her car is a mess, what's it to you, it's not your car. Has the USA fallen so far in grace that all you keyboard hard men can't spare 5 minutes to show some courtesy to a little old lady?

    • That's not her car, either. I woulda told her I was stealing it.

    • Agreed. My neighbors barely talk to one another, much less keep an eye out for suspicious activity. The lady reminds me of neighbors I once had in Ohio back in the day.

  • So far, this looks like a keeper. Obviously, a little TLC is required, but who doesn't want a sweet ragtop for cruising on those beautiful summer nights... I'm looking forward to further episodes on this gem...

  • Hi, yes a shorter video but great quality 👍 the cuts on the slabs always take time, and my dog does the same when I am trying to make the bed. All the best & thank you. 👍🐝🌞
