This poor fox could barely move... but help was on the way!

Of all of the rescue callouts we get here at Wildlife Aid, animals tangled in netting is probably one of our most common. Loose football or fruit netting is a disaster for wildlife, and many end up far too tangled to escape.
Early this morning, Lawrie was called out to help this feisty fox free from quite the tangle...

Book looks beautiful defo a Christmas present. 🙂
@@BellaSue70 Thanks very much! That's lovely to hear!
No, I did NOT know...but, as noted, the perfect Chrissy pressy.
Thank you, for your work 🙏
Sorry to be the narc telling you this, but the 3 links in the description are not active. Wonderful video.
"Nice and bitey", I'm sure he'll take it as a compliment!
Haha, I'm sure he would!
@@wildlifeaid Well - my mini-schnauzer girl is "nice and bitey" too, on occassion. I consider those to be love-bites. I mean what should we expect of a wild animal ? This fox *seemed* to much appreciate that the fellow was there to help her/it escape. Yet extreme anxiety on their part - for very obvious reasons. I think I would try to verbalize this differently to the animal, but well done.
He wasn't really angry, just scared out of his mind, poor boy.
Had right to be angry, avoidable.
He was indeed poor boy. Hopefully he feels much better now :)
Exactly! And I recommend that to anyone who meets a stranger with a pair of scissors in hand.
The FOX wasn't too happy either!! 😆
Anger comes from fear :P
Thanks Wildlife Aid team 👍
Thanks so much!
You did very well. Kind words and gentle. Thanks
Thanks so much :)
Your work makes the world a better place! Thank you very much!
God always bless u all gentlemen for all your goods, without all animals will be dead or sufferings, tq

Dear Simon, Lawrie & WAF Staff... I've lost count of how many smiles you've put on my face & how much pure joy you've given my heart. Thank you. God bless you.🙏♥️🇺🇲✌
I've been lying in bed with covid, and watched nearly all through your videos going back 5 years, I'm addicted lol
Get well soon, I hope it's not 'long covid'.
These videos are good medicine. 🙂 They've gotten me through rough times too. Best wishes to you. ♥️
Best wishes for your health

I think half way through the fox started to realise that he was there to help . Great job getting him free 😊😊
So glad I can see your channel on my feed again. So enjoy you saving and caring for the animals. THANK YOU!
Completely calm and unimpressed. "Yes, I know. You're very vicious." Good work, Lawrie! Particularly managing something that clearly needed at least 3 hands.
Thanks so much, we really appreciate it! :)
Thank you for helping him 💜
Thanks so much for the support!
Wow, looks like that could have been dangerous for you! Thank you for your bravery and for helping this little guy!
Well done young man. Very calm and careful which isn’t easy. 👏

Wonderful work as always, thank you ❤
Thanks so much. We really appreciate it!
"Nice and bitey" 😂 Lawrie has the same kind of dry humour as Simon. I guess that's why they work so well together. This one was a solo though and you did a great job Lawrie 👍👍👍
Thanks so much! Dry humour always helps in this job!
Lawrie seems as dedicated as Simon to saving wildlife. King Charles and many other royals are conservationists who are dedicated to saving animals and the environment.
Great Job Lawrie, nice one. 😄
Thanks a lot, very kind of you!
The poor fox must've been so scared. I love the way you talked to him as you worked.
Thanks so much. We're glad we could help him!
This beautiful fox knows you r helping him ❤
Thanks, Lawrie! 🤗
Thanks for your support!
Thank you for your service! ❤️

Greetings to Simon. Say we love him.
Thank you! We will pass that on!
Beautifully done Lawrie, he was fairly calm considering he was in a bit of a panic, you did a lovely job, thank you
Thanks so much. He was luckily quite calm in the end!
Thank you for saving this fox! Wonderful work that you do!
Well done!
Thank you!
great job. we All deserve freedom. thank you!
Thanks so much. We do indeed!
It always turns my stomach seeing them trapped like this. I am so pleased he was relatively unharmed, it'must be so frightening. Well done Lawrie, the foxes limbs were unharmed and you kept all your fingers! I have to admit I do get annoyed, animals trapped in netting is not new, just pegging the net up when not in use would avoid all harm and stress to animals. I remember one rescue the homeowner said, "it's never happened before". So with that logic and complacency are they waiting for the day it WILL happen? Sigh. Great job, and thank you so much.
Thanks so much. It's always a horrible sight to see them like this, but we're so glad he could be released on scene!
FWIW - LIFE is mammalian fundamentally frightening - and must be. You start out all well-intentioned and well meaning - but then you NEED protein & procreation and eventually must die - despite one's own intentions. Is cancer or a heart-attack less upsetting that a nylon-mesh trap ? The point of this exercise is COMPETITION. You are no different from this fox.
GOD BLESS YOU.
Thanks so much :)
Well done, Lawrie! And be blessed, dear Simon! We all love you!❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much, very kind of you!
Lawrie is amazing, and the fact he was drawn into wildlife rescue is such a blessing! Simon can rest assured that wildlife will continue to be rescued. God bless these caring people.
A quick glance from the fox as he ran off as if to say "Thanks". Another great rescue.

Brilliant! Can't have been easy Freeing Foxy on your own, well done and thank you.
Thanks a lot! Usually we'd make sure we have two people on callouts like this, but sometimes it has to be a solo job!

Thanks so much, that's so kind of you :)
Danke vielmals🇨🇭💖
Danke!
Thank you for saving the beautiful baby
Thanks so much :)
Bless you for your kind help. I have been caring for a fox family for about 2 yrs now and had 6 of them the other night. Mum had 5 cubs but one died. I just feed them enough so that they still remain wild. The mother had mange and I treated that. So much better now. The mother trusts me the most and comes when I call but I still don’t encourage them to come too close. They have learned 2 sounds, when I call them, and another for danger so they know to run (if a vehicle approaches or someone walking along).
beautiful and calm rescue of this sweet entangled fox !! so nice he could go back to the wild immediately !! Thank u so much for helping him !! 🦊
Thanks so much, we really appreciate it!
Thank you for helping the fox!!!!
"Work my way to the bitey end" 🤣🤣 Well done! You're amazing Lawrie! And so gentle with the little fox. Prayers for Simon 🙏

I’m concerned that Simon isn’t helping. Prayers for his health and strength. 🙏❣️💕
Don't worry, Simon is ok. Lawrie manages our out-of-ours rescue calls and Simon was still in bed at the time!

Excellent! Well Done. 👍💯👍
Thank you for your selflessness in assisting this poor creature!
What a beautiful fox. I'm sure he had quite a tale to tell when he got back to his den.
The release always catches my breath. You are just absolute heroes, the way you save each and every one of these lovely creatures. 😍 👌 👍 ❤

Thanks so much. Releases are always the best part of the job!
Simon gave the animals a gift before he is leaving and the gift is you Lawrie. Well don Lawrie. Blessings to both of you and Simon and Wildlife Aid. Please give our love to Simon. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! We will do so!
That was so wonderfully well done. Glad it was a rescue-release for this feisty and frightened (but still utterly adorable) fox 💜 As someone who can’t resist a cute animal print, I can’t help but appreciate Lawrie’s little lobster socks 😊xXx
Thank you so much Emily! We're so glad we could help him! Haha, Lawrie has to keep the marine biologist in him somehow, right? ;)
😱 cor blimey he got good and tangled, good job and video for a solo run, thanks 💖😁
He did indeed! Thanks so much for the support!
Wonderful work, as is to be expected for Lawrie. And having to do it all by himself this time? Poor lad!
Thanks so much, we really appreciate that!
Спасибо вам за спасенную жизнь!
I have to laugh out loud when you assure the fox that you know he's very vicious.
It helps to massage his ego ;)
How some of these animals stuck in netting are even alive is beyond belief, thank you to every one who takes part in saving these animals.
It shocks us too at times! Luckily he was ok! Thanks so much for the support :)
Awesome rescue.
Thanks very much!
Thank you! Sending love to Simon!
Thanks so much :)
Well done Lawrie, you have a good teacher in Simon xx

He was definitely quite tangled! Thanks so much for your kind words and support :)
Well done Lawrie another great rescue, blinking nets 🙄

Great solo rescue Lawrie. Well done that man. Glad you also gave him a 'ticking off'.
Thanks a lot, much appreciated!
Well done!!! 👍😀👍
Thanks a lot!
Gorgeous foxy-fox! But he'd really worked on getting himself in a tangle. Good thing Lawrie is such a pro at this! Lol! Praying and prayers for Simon as always.
Thanks so much :)
A very stressed/scared fox, dealt with very patiently/gently Lawrie. That was a mile of net to work on, brilliant to see the run off at the end 😉 thanks muchly Lawrie, love to Simon x x
Thanks so much, that's very kind of you!
Excellently done with one chap! Well done. Hope you gave the owners of the goal post some advice re safe storing after use [as I'm sure you did]. Needs to be taught in school.
Thanks so much. Luckily, the caller agreed to remove the netting in the future :)
I love the way you say, "Work up towards the bitey end"
My husband was listening to my video without watching and he noticed the amazing kindness in Lawrie’s voice. Add that to his great rescuing skills and voila, Lawrie is a total winner❤
Thank you so much, that's so kind of you to say!
Kocham Pana ❤❤❤❤❤ . Jest Pan cudowny ! 😊❤❤❤
Great work, netting is such a problem. If only people would tie it up with velcro when not in use, it would stop so much death and suffering.
You are so right, but i have my doubts if people will ever learn!
It certainly is! One second of thought would save so many lives when netting is concerned!
You are awesome like your dad Simon. Thank you for rescuing, saving the fox's life. Many blessings to you and the foxy
Thank you! Lawrie and Simon are not related :)
@@wildlifeaid Really? I didn't know that, thanks
