This logic would fail SO HARD. Celestials feed on SOULS to exist. Some use that energy to give life (Tiamut, Arishem etc), some just keep feeding non-stop (Galactus). Celestial being born without taking lives of billions is a WASTE of a celestial. It would be an equivalent of a breathless baby being born. To be honest, this movie is AMAZING because it created a very convincing view on religion - celestials give life so that they could harvest it later on. It is an endless cycle of life and death, and that is what is so beautiful. Life needs to be taken to give new life. That is something very few movies are bold enough to do, so, mad props to the creators.

@@kingol4801 As far as I recall in the movie (and the comics I've read), the celestials needed to 'gestate' on a planet with intelligent life. They 'feed' over a long period of time, by the time they are ready to be birthed they have accumulated enough energy from that planet's intelligent life force. Is there a source that they need to actually 'kill' the rest of the life there when being 'birthed' since by that time they had already gradually fed on the life force. I see the destruction of the planet as more of a side-effect of them breaking out of the shell, not necessarily as part of the 'feeding'. Also pretty sure Galactus is not a celestial.

The "don't forget to smile for the camera" was actually pretty genius. Loved it.
Well, he did just fly out into space!
Wish there was a HISHE bit where you had various Earth characters deal with the fact that an actual literal god of the entire cosmos just showed up to the planet in outer space. Imagine seeing Thor immediately fly to Earth to meet Arishem, or see Dr. Strange portal up and try to learn what exactly a Celestial was doing there.
That would require The Mouse to hire some competent writers that are well versed in the source material. I will never forget how well the 90s X-Men handled situations such as that. Like from the Phoenix Saga. Shame the MCU skipped that and went right for Dark Phoenix.
It's already been confirmed Celestials are gods in the MCU (as shown by GotG2 and T4L&T) yet the cosmic scope kinda felt "meh" after What if...? and Loki imo. The most impressive thing in the entire Eternals movie happened near the beginning when Arishem caused the Big Bang, you would think they'll be a bigger urgency from the entire universe when it's creator visited Earth, but nope I guess? Also a reminder, that the current supreme "god" of the MCU is Kevin's self insert OC from the She-Hulk series lol!
@@briankriens5645 MCU hasn't done Dark Phoenix lmao?? The X-Men movies are entirely unrelated to the MCU?
@@EvieOConnorxoxo They are not. Sony movies are cannon to MCU as well. Just a different universe. Morbius met with the MCU vulture. Venom had an existential crisis at a bar when he got warped into Avengers’ universe and discovered about Blip. No way home is literally a combination of Sony and MCU
@@kingol4801 I don't know how to tell you this but... the X-Men films aren't Sony films. They were made by Fox. No character actually from that universe has showed up in the MCU yet, and even if they do at some point, disney still didn't make those films.
To be honest, when he said Starfox, I totally expected that. I was like “Hey, that’s not Starfox”.
The fact that they actually did this in quantumania with the multiversal engine makes this video pretty accurate in resolving the celestial birth problem lol
Once you have crossovers, every solo movie fails to make any sense. There is never a reason to not get more help.
I feel like that depends on the situation since not everybody would actually help and be borderline useless. A good example of this is Dr. Strange second movie cause I'm pretty sure Wanda (being corrupted) would have no issue in killing the other marvel heroes if Dr. Strange tried to get their help. Plus its his movie and having other characters in there would come off as forced and could screw up the pacing for the movie.
@@0753m Travel time isn't valid excuse when Dr. Strange or Wong (or any random member of their wizard group) can open a portal that can easily transport a person or a whole group of people to the opposite side of the world within seconds. Arishem's confusion on Batman had me laughing out loud in the office. That was freaking gold xD
This should've been a series. There's so much lore to be explored and a series would've given them time to explain the lore and flesh out all the characters.
Definitely. Like it was a decent movie but it could have easily been a 6-8/10 episode series. I mean they have Disney+ so they should probably use it. Then all the different easter eggs could have also had a little more build-up or use other than a small bit part (Black Knight), and a voice cameo (Blade).
when this film went into production and filming disney+ wasn't an available platform yet, so a movie was the only thing they really could've done at that time. but in hindsight, delaying it and making it into a mini-series probably would've been better for sure.
can y'all stop saying this already, we get it
Or not... because I'm tired of 9-12 hour movies called "mini-series" already. I agree the pacing was off, but I don't want to waste my life seeing bad banter that goes no where, just to get 2 hours of content that actually will be used in the future.
@@motodog242 4 hours long acutally, 6 episodes of 40 minutes.
Imagine if the MCU began with the 1st Avengers film with only 1 or 2 flashback scenes for each of the previous 5 films. To me that's Eternals. It's not bad, but trying to squeeze in so many heroes and backstory into 1 film made it hard to follow. If it had been a show of say 10 episodes that would have worked much better in terms of pacing.

They don't even need him, the just need the technology. Even Arisham could have done it.
"Do a barrel roll" LMFAO I'm dead
First time I'm thankful I actually watched the Eternals to get the context behind this vid lmao nice job as usual HISHE
I remember I was pretty pumped for this movie. Then it came out, and… I haven’t thought about it since
I was pumped for it and then never actually even watched it. every time I queue it up, I have this weird urge to do the dishes, ironing or literally anything else.
Loved it !
The movie was all hype before, but then at the end, it failed miserably…watched it once, never understood it, watched it second time…got really boring and I stopped watching it 😕
it was such a sad, wasted role for Angelina Jolie
Only HISHE made it more enjoyable
omg, long overdue!!! Thanks for this. I love ETERNALS!
Batman and Superman make these videos I swear 😭😭
As much as Chloe Zhao deserved that Oscar for NOMADLAND I still wonder if Disney ensured her win just to promote ETERNALS
Even an Oscar worthy director can't make this super hero story coherent. Too much going on.
Antman saves the earth!! This is really awesome, for the 2 dozen of us that watched the Eternals. The rest of you? You didn't miss much.
Truly sorry this happened to you. Time heals all wounds.
I dont think only 2 dozen of people watched it, probably something arround 40 people also wasted their time like us lol
I just kind of repeatedly skipped forward after the first 10 minutes. It was so boring.
HISHE deserves it's own movie.
Please do more videos with batman n superman in the coffee shop, chatting and chillin, They are the backbone of hishe.
It would've been cool if they actually needed Ant Man to make Tiamut small in order for the Emergence to not be catastrophic. Arishem saying "that was pretty sick !! " was Gold.
Arishem : "Oh Shut up, Kingo. For just like one second, would you please shut up?!" Kingo : "You got it, boss." 😂😂😂😂😂
Oof that Barrel Roll hits different. Rest in Peace, Rick May, never forgotten
That Star Fox joke at the end actually caught me off guard lmao. It’s funny because that was my first thought when I first learned of the Marvel character. Glad I’m not the only one lol.
The one thing about having an actual world line is audiences actually enjoy having familiar character appear in other movies and solve problems. Why didn’t they do this?
Contracts & other legal hoops.
