I'm a massive Giggs fan (not just because we share birthdays) and as I've grown older I've dropped the silly thing where people can't appreciate each others players. I was always a fan of so many Man United players as a kid...Cantona one of my all timers because of the way he played the game and him as a man...so Mane, brilliant, but still a great work in progress! It is a myth that modern players are more technical. They have higher levels of fitness because the game is moving faster but they do not control the ball in a technical fashion at all hence why english players do not look technical at all.
I love Roy Keane, I love that when talking about Schmichael the first thing he wants to put out there, leave the viewer in no doubt about is 'I didn't like him'.

People forget that the style of football back then with 4-4-2 and Modern 4-3-3 attack is a different style. 4-4-2 allows wingers like Giggs and Beckham to assist the front 2 strikers to score and 4-3-3 allows the front 3 to score with 2 full back to do what Giggs and Beckham did. So you can't compare Giggs and Mane's goalscoring record.
4-3-3 has been around since 1950s but yeah i get what u mean it's more regular now

That and neither Salah or Mane are actual wingers
Comparing the stats to Ginolas makes Giggs look worse. He had 13 g+a for Spurs in the league, more than 25% of the goals they scored while finishing 11th. Giggs had 4 goals and 1 assist for the champions who scored 80. Overmars scored 6 and assisted 13 in the league in the same season for Arsenal, from roughly the same position. There's more of a reliance on wingers to score now sure, but they've always been creators. Giggs is also generally massively overrated, but that's a different story.

I love how that even though keane was known for his aggresiveness and a no nonsense attitude,he still considers himself as an average player. You would think that with that kind of personality he would have more pride and egoistic in himself but he's still very humble about his quality as a footballer.

You could argue for Gomez as he's got so much more pace than Stam ever had, which suits today's game who tends to play with high backlines, it's not like United's defence was that solid as well on that season. 37 goals conceded.. While the midtable teams weren't as solid as today. Cole/Yorke vs Firmino.. It only depends on your preference tbh. On the Trent vs Gary point, I dont see how you can pick Alexander-Arnold over Neville. Gary Neville could go forward very well, had excellent delivery and never stopped running, but couldn't shoot for love nor money. Trent is a better attacker because he's a goal threat. Defensively though, Trent isn't on Neville's level. That's where the decision is made. Gary Neville was consistently a far better defender than Trent Alexander-Arnold.
For me maybe in 10 years Alexander-Arnold will be in the team over Gary Neville in rightback but now Neville has that position

I don't agree with putting Mane in above Giggsy though. The guy is levels above Mane, the only player Iv'e seen put in a 9/10 almost every week and all things being equal he could've played till he was 40. Felt like he kept getting better with age like a fine wine as well. Mane is a great and will play for the likes of Madrid some day but the only thing that stopped Giggs from completing football was not being able to win a WC or Balon D'or.

the 99 United side are so underrated. They won the treble whilst facing Juventus Barcelona and Bayern in the UCL, they didn’t have an easy league run like Liverpool in 19/20 or City in 17/18. They competed on all fronts unlike Liverpool who rotated their team in the FA cup. To succeed in all fronts is so impressive. Also, they won all 3 trophies within weeks of each other which is so impressive
