  • Gorgeous! It would be great if you would include the dimensions of the main body of the ponds in the description so we have a better understanding....I'm personally interested in knowing the w/l/depth and the difference between the dugout dimensions vs. the interior dimensions once the rocks are in to better grasp how much room there is to swim, or for fish if it's not a recreation pond.

    • Catfish is smelly and make the water dirty. You don't want it in your pond.

    • Hawks kept swooping and getting my fish. You have to make sure it’s deep enough and that the fish have a place to hide under

    • I've seen snakes in regular pools here in the states too, I wonder about frogs. I used to have a large ornamental garden pond and it was a frog orgy every spring. I musta killed millions of tadpoles

  • I'd love to build something like this at home. I live approximately 2hrs north of the suburb of this pool and love to swim. But we have a big problem with toads up here. Toads are an invasive species in Australia and damn hard to get rid of or to keep out of ponds. We see them pretty much every night around here.

    • @@TimApple. No idea but I can say I wouldn't choose something like concrete or bricks alone. Where I live we get a lot of soil movement caused when the ground fluctuates between wet and dry. I'd feel more secure with a liner underneath a more solid foundation in case of cracks caused by the ground movement

  • How is there so little algae in their pond? Any tips on controlling algae in an exposed environment (high levels of sun) and somewhat shallow 3-4 feet deep

    • you don't , you just let nature take it's course heh , of course u can have some sort of fences to keep most of the wildlife out but I have never seen anyone that managed to keep things like frogs out
