  • Most of ppl here didn't understand. 1. The battery performance : This 4th gen battery is purely crazy thing. It has currently the most energy dense in the world. and the electrical resistance during charging and discharging is extremely low. That's why it can finish 2laps easily. 2. Regen and cooling mystery: The Hyundai N engineer told "we discovered" not invented. while regen, it cool down the battery temperature. still i don't understand. out of box. But I think this has something to do with the extremely low electrical resistance of the battery. The regen capacity is 0.6g, which is 'hard breaking'. if you use the N pedal mode, most of technical corners r covered only with regen break. That explains Ben P has more battery left. n cold breaks. 3. How Ben P's car dances. N pedal mode is an extreme version of one pedal mode;but it doesn't stop tho. It is involved not only in regenerative braking but also in the vehicle's maneuvering characteristics. while front wheels are doing some regenerative braking, rear wheels thrust. and sometimes vice versa. It predicts and controls in real time. n... EVs r never turn off the ESP. actually can't turn it off. This is a very long story so I'll skip it. One of the secret evidence that N engineers r totally crazy...is that... while the ABS is working, it regen.

Hyundai made an EV look and feel fun which is truly remarkable and a slap on the face of everyone else who decided to play safe. They just need to come up with a convincing external noise to match what the driver is experiencing inside the cabin. For most car guys, being fast alone doesn't cut it. • I think it was the result of Hyundai executives, who had never made a sporty car before, scouting many engineers from the former BMW M to Hyundai N and giving them full authority. The combination of BMW M engineers' detailed driving feel tuning and South Korea's traditionally strong electric vehicle technology resulted in the creation of the IONIQ 5N, which is not the fastest but the most fun to drive electric vehicle in the world.

The fact that it weighs 2000 kg, is 4,7 meter long and 1,6 meter high and larger than the Tucson in all measurements....it's defying the laws of physics with its performance !!!! But, indeed, the way it leaped out after the corners and the way the brakes resisted fading was impressive.
