"They say that sometimes we go around feeling pity for ourselves. But behind our back a great wind is carrying us".
I finished watching this wonderful show last night, and my god, I already miss it. Truly a magnificent show, it became one of my favorites so quickly.
Tony Soprano is my favorite character from the show, and Chrissy is right after him, so it's pretty obvious why I used so many scenes of these two.
I orignally started working on this project when I first started the show, back then I still used Sony Vegas, but then I decided to take a break from the video for a few seasons, but around season 4 I got back to it again, and I edited this while I was watching. I believe my next Sopranos video will be a bit better than this one.
If you still haven't watched this AMAZING show, I highly recommend you to start right now aha
I'd like to thank Nadiow for being my inspiration while making this video, please check out his Christopher Moltisanti video, I watch it non stop for a few months now: • (Sopranos) Christopher...
Another video that inspired me so much to use this song, is a collab between two of my favorite editors. Thank you, Artem and Zurik:

  • I think I've watched this over 1000 times. This arrangement gives more than the whole series. It tells about confusion, life, dilemmas, struggle, the absurdity of life, aging, time, growing up, shrinking, and most importantly, death. Time and death are after person. Pain never ends, that's what makes life and happiness meaningful. I live in a poor country where the minimum wage is $400. Anxiety about the future, unemployment, hunger and, at best, a crappy economy are consuming me, damn it. Despite everything, most of the time even I am happy. I can't help myself after watching this video. I keep thinking about the beginning of my life, the past and my choices. The whole reality of life hits me in the face. I say this as someone who doesn't like mob bullshit, The Sopranos have an incredible philosophy of life. If one day I put a gun to my head, I will close my life book with this video. Song selection, sections, transitions of emotion, integrity of meaning are magnificent. There is no such thing as a wonderful life, life itself is wonderful.

  • It can't be overstated how much James Gandolfini (R.I.P.) gave life to this show. Tony Soprano really was the quintessential antihero in television, and despite how dark and sinister he was, people were still drawn to him in a humanized way (well, at least up until the final season). I'm not sure we will ever see another character like Tony Soprano again in television, David Chase wrote an incredible juxtaposition of a mob boss balancing his personal affairs with his home life. James Gandolfini really did such a masterful job portraying that character and the show would have paled in comparison without him.

I guess the psychological layer this series portraits on each and every character is remarkable. The Sopranos stands above all in the world of mob-gangster cinmematic score. The artistic touch to depict such a magnificent gangster drama and the vulnerabilities they deal with is phenomenal. The multi-layered complexed character of Tony Soprano is worth a watch.
