@@ShakMMA I tried again. Same result. I don't want @Mr-E. to think I can't or won't answer him. Look, I know the information I'm giving contradicts what Alexa said and it's not a good look for her. MMA Junkie interviewed Big John in late January. Watch the whole interview or do an internet search of "Big John McCarthy Mike Bell" to read an article that deals specifically with what was said between them as well as watch a 3-minute excerpt of the interview.

The judge Mike Bell told Big John McCarthy in a private conversation the reason for the 10-8 round. Big John made the reason public and it had nothing to do with the scoring of round 4 or anything Alexa was saying. The reason was... in Mike Bell's words... he "fu_ked up." Plain and simple, he made a mistake in his scoring of round 5. It was a mistake he immediately realized he made. The correct score for round 5 should have been 10-9 and the correct score for the fight should have been 48-47 in favor of Valentina.
Where can I find this information? In the lead up to their next fight, it would be good to be able to drop this info on people with a source.

I saw the fight live and thought Schev won but not by a lot. To be honest, a draw is not a bad decision because they went back and forth all 5 rounds

I love both fighters but I saw Grasso win. So close that draw didn’t make me think something was amiss.
I saw Alexa win rounds 2, 4 and 5. Very close fight but Alexa edged it out, she had more total strikes, more signifcant strikes, the powerful slam in round 4, 2 submission attempts and the knockdown. Great interview Shak!

I had Valentina winning by a single point, but it was so close that I could easily see it as a draw.

@@grayerdavis7958 I had Valentina winning 48-47, which is by one point in a 5 round fight. Which is one point more than Alexa. Does that clear it up for you?
I think what Grayer is saying is that you don't usually get to a draw unless the fighter that lost more rounds is awarded a 10-8 (denoting a dominant round) or the winning fighter is deducted a point. But to your point, it was a very close fight and either woman could have reasonably won
@@ShakMMA isn’t the criteria for a 10-8 round when the fight could have been finished or was close to be finished? I’d say that was about to happen and Bullet was saved by the bell lol.
@@HubCityProduct I'd need to go back and watch but just based on what you're saying: the judges can only score based on what actually happened. If Alexa did enough in your estimation to secure a 10-8 in Round 5 that's fine. But they can't score it 10-8 based on what *might* have happened had the fight gone on longer
TRUTH is it should not have even come to that scoring controversy, nobody has handled VS like AG has respectively. Fight long and often enough and itll happen, thats the fight game. Both women are amazing and the 2 best ambassadors not only to the womens division but to MMA overall.

Could understand the decision going either way, it’s rare to see a true robbery in the UFC. But I value damage and big moments, and Alexa clearly inflicted the most damage and had the biggest moments. I really hope she gets a finish in the next fight to end this so we can then watch both of them fight the young rising fighters in the division. I mean if Valentina wins the next fight then they’re 1-1-1 and we’ll have to do a 4th one, which nobody wants
Totally! I think it's mostly the 10-8 that rubs people the wrong way
Valentina swore to knock her out in the rematch. She didn't, and she almost got herself chocked out again at the end. I'm a fan of Valentina, but the only CREDIBLE way for her to take back that belt is to beat the hell out of this girl. Because so far Grasso proved to be no less of a beast in that cage than The Bullet.

What about the Suarez? Shevshenko you don’t hear crying from Valentina, on that one. Shevshenko isn’t ever going to be champion again face it. Not like at 36 she shes going to get better. Im not even a fan of Grasso this is old it’s boring. Grasso was more fun when she was in invicta early ufc, until this saga. Even though I went to see invicta 18 it was a huge mismatch. Shevshenko is just annoying.
I was always a fan of both ladies. Respect to both. I did see Alexa winning though. She’s also creating more damage and fights in that manner

Grasso won 2,4,5. The 10-8 score was bs but so was giving Valentina the 4th round.

Two great champions very competitive, love them both, but definitely saw Grasso wining the last fights. Grasso is a wonderful ambassador and person, super endearing.

Sal D Amato doesnt know his ass from a hole in the head. He gave Valentina round 4. Alexa did more than enough to win 3 to 2. I think Dana needed Valentina to win cause lets be real. How would it look if the golden goose at 125 lost twice? Plus this division was CREATED for Valentina cause she coudlnt beat Amanda Nunes. 125 is catching up to Valentina. I think Alexa and Valentina will be great coaches.
It wasn’t him it was Mike bell he wanted to give the 4th back to her but can’t so instead gave a 10-8 in the 5th it should have been 48-47 on 2 scorecards so split win for grasso and Sal d Amato should have gave the 4th to Grasso making it unanimous 48-47 Grasso

@@user-vo1gd5sk8n Thank you for clairfying. Sal has always had the repuation of being a bad judge. Alexa outstruck Valentina 84-80. I had it 3-2 Alexa. Judge Kamajicho had the right scorecard. 2 4 and 5 to Alexa. 1 and 3 to Valentina.

I'm sure Alexa won't read this, but I can tell she grinds her teeth while sleeping, so she needs to go to dentist to get a nightguard. I can tell from how flat her teeth are. This is usually a result from trauma to the jaw. Usually from getting punched or kicked in the jaw. If she doesn't get a night guard, she will need a lot of painful work on her teeth in the future. Root canals, crowns, and implants. I've lived in the U.S.A. and in Mexico and unfortunately the vast majority of dentists in Mexico provide very poor dental care. The dentists in the U.S. are far better trained and provide very high quality work compared to dentists in Mexico. A lot of people don't wear their nightguard because it's uncomfortable and have trouble falling asleep or stayin asleep because of it. This usually happens because you only put the nightguard in your mouth immediately before going to bed, so you're mouth and brain are not accustomed to it. The best way to get accustomed to it is to wear it during the day. Start by wearing it for 5 minutes one day, then 10 minutes the next day until you work up to about an hour. Once you're at that point you will forget you have it in your mouth when you wake up. I went through this so I know how expensive and painful the consequences are as a result of not wearing a night guard.

I know the fight between them and Noche UFC was a while ago but she's talking like as if even if the judge didn't make that mistake she would have won but if you look at the score cards even if that judge would have scored a fight 108 her or I mean 109 her 10 to 9:00 her she still would have lost because Valentina still would have been up on the scorecards so everybody's got to be honest even her own country people have to be honest she really lost that fight I mean Alexa grasso may have the belt but she didn't win at Noche UFC she is not the true UFC women's flyweight champion but like I said I know the fight was a long time ago but I'm just saying I mean don't get me wrong I think the fight was a great fight and she's a very tough opponent for Valentina or Valentina has way way more experienced than her I mean just like this next fight should be good
