Have to be honest, this is the best mod I have ever seen on KZhead, and I've seen videos of thousands of modifications and repair videos. Next up, please try to insert a USB-C port on an iPhone. The original guy who did it posted his templates and plans online for anyone to do it, and he posted his prototype on eBay which is currently on $100k with 6 days to go.
holy shit it really is at $100k- I can't believe someone would do that much; I feel like the first bid of like $3500 would be enough. There's no reason a phone should be $100k lol
Damn 100k is too much to afford
@lola baldo usb-c has faster charging
@lola baldo Usb c has many advantages, 1 it's much more durable, 2 faster data transfer speeds up to 10 gbps vs 480 Mbps, 3 faster charging, 12w vs up to 240w, 4 much more cross compatibility (you can only use lighting on apple phones, USB-C is used on thousands of different devices thus removing the need for a mess of multiple chargers) apple is just stupid and have used the same charger since 2012. so give me one reason that lightning is better (other than it's slightly smaller size)

@@holb8525 it would be inconvenient if you wore glasses because you have to switch if u wanna see your phone and then you would be blind with no prescription
@FOOZY YOOOO POLARIZED CONTACTS! That would make this mod 10X more badass. You would never have to worry about keeping up with your glasses to see the phone because they would always just be in your head lol.
@@lo154lo3 There is also a really simple solution of just adding polarization to those flip up shade clips to your glasses so you can keep your prescriptions on.
Everyone here is forgetting that this only works properly so long as the glasses (your head) are in the same orientation as your phone's screen? Tilt your head to the side at all? Colours get messed up. What to turn your phone to use landscape mode (maybe for taking pictures)? Colours get messed up. There's a reason this sort of thing has been known about since before smartphones existed yet has never really caught on. It's simply not as convenient as the videos make it appear.

@@vcprocles they’re gonna change it back to LCD just for some extra cash💀
Delete this stuff before Apple sees it
I need this Wong guy in my life for sure, he's got some insane skills
This is an invention that could actually be revolutionary
Those ones that inverted the colors are because the polarizer was installed sideways. It would be perfect for sideways use. An lcd works by shining a light that makes the screen all white and using the crystals with a voltage applied to twist and polarize the light 90 degrees which is entirely blocked by the polarizer. When you turn the polarizer that same angle, it does the opposite giving you inverted colors. Its literally that simple. 7:38 You can even see he had those filters and was placing them in front and turning them to show how it works and when its 90 degrees, you see the inverted colors
I used a similar hack for allowing 2 people to watch 2 different channels at once on my 3D TV. An easier way to make the glasses is by getting 2 pairs of 3D cinema/TV glasses and swap the lenses around, one from each pair, flipping/rotating them, to get both eyes polarised in the same direction. It's cheap, sometimes free, and already has sturdy lenses cut to size :)
Genius!
@@nimamaster6128 thanks, I got the idea for that and then it allowed me and a mate to play console games using the whole screen with first person each! :P I expect some KZheadr will pick this up and do it but hey ho haha!
@@daz222 that’s actually insane lmao
Actually those glasses should be perfect unmodified in a way. Notice how he only holds phone vertical. Horizontal, it would not be visible with the polariser in the glasses, since it's not rotating with the phone. If you are good at winking, you can be using one eye of the 3D TV glasses to see phone when it's vertical, and another when it's horizontal! He was unlucky to get RealD glasses instead, those are circular polarised instead, for DLP systems, so they are never quite right for a screen.
@@SianaGearz good point about not being to view the phone in landscape mode. Did he get RealD glasses? I missed that, thought he just used normal glasses lol it's been a couple of days since I saw it, probably don't remember haha!

That was a great video bro..
Some sunglasses are polarised anyway. And the polariser plastic might work one way up, but then also the other way up, *if* you twist it. Might also be the case that if you get already-polarised sunglasses, and they're polarised the _wrong_ way, then they won't work, so some sunglasses may not be suitable. So some are suitable with a polariser sheet, some don't need one, and some won't work either way, regardless. Also if need by you can buy sheets of polarising plastic online. Needs to be horizontal / vertical, not spiral polarised. You might even be able to get a polarising coating for normal spectacles. It's used to make them anti-reflective or glare-resistant.
So no landscape mode?
Bro. That’s a privacy screen to the next level. And you could almost make that a magic trick
There is no word that can describe this actually. So Im gonna just say WOW.
This is perfect for watching some "family friendly videos"
The fun thing is that now you need glasses for when using the phone vertically, and glasses for when using it horizontally 😅

@@berrylicious674 yup, polarization is orientation dependent. Thats you you never see the phone in horizontal in this video, the screen will just be black!
