It’s been almost seven months since the start of the U.S.-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza, which has claimed - at minimum - tens of thousands of Palestinian lives, including at least 15,000 children. There is mass starvation in the north, countless mass graves are being found every day from where the Israelis have withdrawn and a ground invasion of Rafah, which is under heavy bombardment, is still on the books. Despite all this and the growing domestic pressure on the U.S. government to change course, Joe Biden and his administration have shown no desire to choose a different course. Instead, unlike the media narrative that puts blame squarely on Netanyahu, this administration is showing what Joe Biden has shown throughout his career: complete deference to and support of the state of Israel.

But, right from the beginning, there was almost no mention of the thousands of Palestinian women, men and children that were held in Israeli prisons for years without charge and no hope of a fair trial.
I'm a 74 year old citizen of the USA, strongly considering sitting out the 2024 Presidential election.. my conscience speaks loudly to me, each and every day. If these are the best candidates that the two major political parties have to offer us voters..

It is mainly Western News media that is spreading Israel's lies and propaganda. There are plenty of outlets in other countries that have some decent coverage about it. NHK in Japan has been doing some good coverage of the situation.

Oh, the truth matters in the US to some people. Of you are in Germany, Australia, Canada, Japan, Italy, Mexico, France, or the United Kingdom, you're getting force-fed the same Israeli lies and propaganda as we get in the US. There has been some pushback against journalist that have stood-up to Israeli spokespeople in interviews. The best example is Mehdi Hasan who was fired for such an interview. Since then, journalist have been cautious to only speak up against Israeli war crimes when there aren't any Israeli spokespeople being interviewed. There is still an active amount of kowtowing during interview with Israeli spokespeople.
