True, but it is much easier if we can just use Hyeprshift because the profiles for me are for different software but sometimes I need one software to use 2 sets of layouts quickly and even though you can change to a different profile it is very inconvenient for me. This is exactly why Hypershift exists and it will be very simple if there is just one option allowing us to toggle instead of press and hold.

I would like an option to have a key AND razershift in the SAME button. Pressing the button just activates the key, and holding the button activates razershift
I feel that it should and could work better than it does. I feel it should be an instant switch of the key or button back and forth between normal and hypershift when the hypershift key or button is depressed. It does not. And to find out for yourself test in a word document with W as normal and E as hypershift. You should not need to take your finger off of any key or button except the hypershift.

When will you support Razer devices on Linux? I'm considering buying a Razer Basilisk mouse, but now I am concerned that I won't be able to make full use of it on Linux - not only for gaming but especially for productivity... losing out on the option to map the buttons, and using Hypershift...

I have a Huntsman mini, is it possible to remap a key combo to act as the Function (hypershift) key? I want to be able to activate the hypershift from the left half of the keyboard, maybe shift+esc, this would make using the home,end, arrow keys.... much easier and faster.
this is really cool. Nice feature. I just learned about it today. It was never an option for me until I got a windows 11 pc, don't know why. I always updated razor synapse. Though I despise the new layout, it's hard to tell what button you are modifying on the wheel after you've already modified all buttons.
So that's why the hypershift mode it's resetting itself to standard and makes me lose games cos I'm having an ambidextrous mouse and I'm accidentally pressing the right side buttons? Do you have to sacrifice a button function assigning it to hypershift? My problem is I have the regular Viper mouse which has only a key for changing the mouse sensitivity and it's located at its bottom and perhaps that synapse isn't giving to me a hypersensivity button as an option? Just in the software at the button of the mouse design. But as soon I'm closing the app it's keeping resetting itself to standard.

Setting up Hypershift button on the mouse button 5 or 4 does not work for Naga Trinity. It did work one time but I can't get it to work again, this was annoying, but apparently removing the side plate and put it back again make synapse to accept the hypershift setting on the mouse button 5 or 4.
Uhh ... why isn't hypershift on the deathadder v2? I wanted to put hypershift on b5, then I would be able to use b4, m1, m2 as extra buttons but when I toggle hypershift in synapse the hypershift button isn't in the list.
Please make the hypershift key only activated when the preferred key is pressed.. when the preferred key is not presed, the hypershift key works as default button. I wanna keep the default function of my hypershift key when it's not used.

This could be so powerful. However, it is not usable for me. I very much want the left alt key to be the hypershift key, however, I need it for its normal function as well. Now this would not be a problem, if I could simply "re-program" all the normal alt functions into the hypershift layer, or choose to have the hypershift layer affect only some keys. However, my Huntsman Mini has pre-defined hypershift functions as it is a 60% board. So I guess it would work on a Huntsman TKL that doesn't already have an fn-layer? Anyways, I'm going to have to do things in AutoHotKey at some point to make everything the way I want. It has the pluss of being "cross platform" (in terms of hardware manufacturer, so to say) too.
How about setting apostrophe key (top-left) as a hypershift key? Works for me perfectly.
@@alexb00007 Not much of an option for me. I use a handfull of shortcuts around the left home row, and using "alt" allows me to hyper-shift to them with my thumb. But I use PowerToys to achieve this, which is working, but it's buggy and inconsistent experience. Synapse with Razer products perform much better, but I can't assign custom hypershift layers to work the way I want on only the relevant keys and not others, so it's not going to work out for me. Seems nothing does, maybe exccept a QMK/VIA enabled keyboard some day
Hypershift should allow me to re bind the second row of keys on my hunts man mini , rather annoying that this even a complaint at all
imagin u would allow your hypershift shit only by using a razer producdt key for that instead of a regular combo key like shift, alt, etc

this really didnt fix my problem because i mainly play minecraft which needs me to click a lot of times so i used hypershift and made my left press twice by enabling double click but its not working and its only clicking once. my mouse is razer baslisk x hyperspeed
Does anyone know if they have a "default" setting for the basilisk v2? It comes completely defaulted. But, I am assuming there's something legit that works with hypershift. Like, I've changed all my hyper buttons to cycle stages and scroll left/right. incase I need it. Plus, you can set on the fly sensitivity incase you need staging you can just press the Fn key.

You dont have to activate or even use that to bind buttons on your mouse(How to Bind buttons directions below) 1.Open Razer Synapse 2.Click mouse at the top 3.Click a button to bind 4.Click keyboard function 5.Click the drop down thats on key recording 6.Switch to alphanumeric for letters or numbers There are other options for other keys Hope this helped bc that video didnt
This works I just put another button as left click then was able to edit my real left click and put turbo on with this method , then I changed the other button to normal so now I just have the auto click

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but you lose the functionality of whatever key that you have set as hypershift? On my previous mouse, Deathadder Elite, the sensitivity changes had dedicated buttons on the top of the mouse. This was super useful to quickly adjust sensitivity up and down on the fly like in an fps game where you want faster/slower while sniping etc. However, on Deathadder v3 the button is on the bottom of the mouse which makes it impossible to accomplish this. I thought hypershift would prove useful. I wanted to hold right click and then scroll up/down to cycle through sensitivity. However, when I assign right click as hypershift, the button no longer has right click functionality. The ONLY thing that it now does is hypershift. Since hypershift is only activated while the button is being held, WHY is the standard click functionality disabled????? That makes no sense. Please tell me that I am doing something wrong and that it wasn't designed like this. I'm struggling to see how I could use hypershift without losing a button to it. I use the two side buttons for reload/melee.
It just gives a second function to the button. Say if you want your up key to go up and down. up works in normal mode, and down will work hitting the up key with hypershift button pressed. (right? lol)
It doesn't work like that for me. I don't get a second function, hypershift replaces it's normal function. If I set it to right click, instead of having the normal right click function, and then a secondary function with hypershift, I only get the hypershift function. I essentially lose a button in order to use hypershift because it becomes a dedicated button with only one function. For example, if I set it to right click button, if I right click in normal mode nothing happens, I can't right click anymore. Once set, it will only use the hypershift function. @@matcathatsat
there is no hypershift option in the menu of Synapse!!

if it's advertised to come with hypershift and the option doesn't show up you might need to update the driver/firmware.

Good idea implemented horribly. Hypershift should be a toggle rather than press and hold. Gaming mice are quite large. It's difficult to hold a button while simultaneously pressing down another button & controlling your aim at the same time. Furthermore, holding down the button and pressing down another button forces me to hold the mouse in a way that puts unnecessary strain on my wrist; this leads to fatigue. The feature is largely useless as a result when it would've been super useful as a toggle.
A toggle would flag as cheating in many games.
