I can't say this enough but... in 32 years of life, Ronaldo Fenomeno was the best player I've ever seen. The dribbling, the explosion, the finishing, the finesse, the calm in front of the keeper... and he did this with 2 busted knees and with overweight. This guy is an absolute legends, respect by all his peers.

This is so true! I grew up watching him and other greats from this era and I had to stop watching when it became comical. Literally Mbappe got me back into the game in 2018. You can see R9 fighting in the box to get the his goals, most players today fall the moment they get touch near the box lol. This is why England gave France an easy pass because they just fell on command.

A striker but with magical feet - an extremely rare trait amongst strikers. Sure the likes of Van Nistelrooy, Klose, Lewandowski, etc will get you goals but R9 makes you fall in love with football.

I can't say this enough but... in 32 years of life, Ronaldo Fenomeno was the best player I've ever seen. The dribbling, the explosion, the finishing, the finesse, the calm in front of the keeper... and he did this with 2 busted knees and with overweight. This is so true! I grew up watching him and other greats from this era and I had to stop watching when it became comical. Literally Mbappe got me back into the game in 2018. You can see R9 fighting in the box to get the his goals, most players today fall the moment they get touch near the box lol. This is why England gave France an easy pass because they just fell on command.

A key thing people sometimes miss when comparing and trying to relate between the greatness of R9, CR7, and Messi as well as what R9 could've been is simply the fact that R9 started out as the predator that the other two had to become.
The other thing is due to Injuries his prime was shortened to 6-7 years while Messi and ronaldo are always healthy. So sad to know that this mans stats could be unreachable if his body was healthier. ( sorry for the bad english)
