  • AJ has always just been an average fighter who massively over-achieved. Hearn saw the cash cow potential, and carefully managed his career, to make as much money for the both of them as possible, with the minimum of risk. AJ was hungry at the start of his career, but the whole celebrity, social media influencer, product placement and sponsorship, took over. Whyte obviously wants to make as much money as possible too, but the difference is, he hasn't sold his soul to celebrity, and he's been used by promoters to the point he doesn't seem to care about that side of the business, which is terrible in one way, but great in another. Whyte knows his level, same as Chisora, and I respect both of them for not caring about losing, and just carrying on and fighting again, because that is all they know. I watched boxing since 1974, and the Whyte V Chisora fights have been amongst the most exciting to me of any era. They were close, exciting, both men slugged it out until exhaustion of KO, and that is what real fans want to see, No fan cares about how much money a fight makes, they aint' seeing any of it. The only thing which matters, is watching a good fight, between two evenly matched fighters. Nobody wants to see one sided beatdowns like Usyk V DD will be, or exhibition bs like Fury v Ngannou.

    • Yes, AJ has changed over the last fights but he definitely isnt an average fighter. If he were, he would not have won the Olympic gold nor have one of the best resumes amongst the current elite heavyweights. You don't "massively over achieve" being an average fighter. Let's not be too quick to judge.

    • @@bamideleeyitope5040 Did you watch his Olympic fights ? I did, and he was gifted that gold medal with many fans saying he lost the final. Nobody has a good resume these days, because this era of heavyweights is embarrassing, nobody wants to fight all of their rivals it's all about carefully managed careers and making as much money for the least risk. Yes I get the train of thought, boxing is dangerous and back in the 1970's (when I started watching boxing), People like Ali, Bugner, Quarry, Shavers, Lyle, Norton, Young, Holmes, Frazier, Foreman, etc, all fought their hearts out, all fought each other, and didn't earn enough money for it. These days, they earn far too much money, and hardly ever fight, once a year if we are lucky it's pathetic. AJ is average and has over achieved massively, he isn't a great boxer, and does not have the guts, courage, determination, or will to win that the older boxers had.

    • @@DjNikGnashersIf u say he was gifted the Gold. U need skills to win silver and AJ fought them and will still fight the best. The ones who brought shame to heavyweight boxing is wilder and fury that have been carefully managed. Even fury father confirmed this when he said if he was managing Aj's career he's won't have a lost on his resume. U guys are the reasons why these guys don't take tough fight cos u will endup critising them after there lost. We as fans should not be concerned about lost fighters have but the amount of quality fight and opponent the faced. Fury have only face Klitschko. Wilder is and over hype heavyweight that I believe dillian Whyte will Ko. I just don't understand the hype surrounding Wilder. Who among wilder and fury have faced opposition AJ lost to?

    • @@Tpbabyface Just because I criticised AJ, you immediately assume I must be an AJ hater and a Fury or Wilder fanboy ? You should not assume things. NONE of todays heavyweights are worth shouting about.

    • Damn you sound like a jealous hater.. just let me know when you become an Olympic gold medallist and two-time heavyweight champion of the world and more money in your bank account then you can ever imagine😂
