Usually nirvana cover bands make me cringe hard especially the ones who try to look like kurt krist and dave. But with these guys, Im not gonna lie I'm thoroughly impressed 👌. Would be cooler if they weren't trying to physically look like the band though, that's kinda dishonorable to Kurt and his ideals.
@ajg51383 жыл бұрын
I think what Kurt meant by that quote is don’t try to be like someone and have your own identity, this band is exclusively a tribute band, they’re probably different people out of the band and dress differently. I don’t think anyone can really speak about what Kurt would’ve thought in these situations since we honestly don’t know, he could’ve loved it like when Weird Al parodied his song or he could’ve hated it because he sees them as wasting their time. Also the point of some tribute bands is to look like the band they’re covering. If you want a band that Kurt may or may not have liked look at the Jins their lead singer looks a lot like Kurt except he was kinda born that way so I don’t think Kurt would mind.
@mantisshrimp80193 жыл бұрын

I wish Kurt could see this. I wonder what he’d think. Maybe he’d hire the lead singer to replace him for concerts. You never know. He got tired of the live concerts at a certain point. He grew weary and said it was just like a job. So he ended up going through the motions at the end and phoning it in. He said he lost the thrill of it all. But I personally think the drugs were depressing him and bringing him down. Plus he was probably burnt out from touring. He just needed a break. Maybe a year or two but instead he checked out. That was not the right solution.

We'll..if you we're around to had seen or heard the real nirvana you would know why that isn't possible i haven't heard or seen anything even close to as a matter a fact thier is absolutely ZERO originality during this entire video. As much skill as it takes to do something like this it takes more skill than talent that's why a Ton of other people could do this with lot's of practice. It's thousand times more difficult doing it all on your own and being an original at the same time like nirvana was, only a few like them could pull it off cuz they had an enormous amount of raw talent and originality. This tribute band while good at covering just doesn't have it. No one but only the originals could make new nirvana music which is why all this does is make me appreciate the original one more. No matter how good you are at it Cover band's they are a dime a dozen, lot easier playing someone else's music than doing your own i know personally, I've made my own original music and I've been inspired by tons of artist's yet i never wanted to be a cover band. Pov: you arrived in a universe where kurt is still alive but he is right handed
I can’t believe I just stumbled across this video looking up random Nirvana covers. I’ve seen multiple Nirvana cover and tribute bands, but this just blew my mind! The physical movements are impeccable, and the singing is uncanny..,. I really feel like I’m watching Live! Tonight! Sold Out! Absolutely incredible…
The way the lead singer stands at the mic even resembles the way Kurt would do it.
Mantis Shrimp actually he never said the quote in the first place, there’s no source of when he said it which makes me think it was made up after his death.
Kurt isn't here anymore. He did like parodies and i bet he'd understand the guys are a tribute band because they love Nirvana. Don't you think that they most likely are their own people outside the band?
Y'all haven't seen Elvana... dress/looks don't matter... aslong as the sound is there
@@alexislametrustmeimhim true! but it's not wrong to have both either. there isn't worng or right here. all people that enjoy nirvana, right?
Was lucky enough to see them in Belfast in 92. This just proves how much influence and impact Nirvana had on the music scene. Honestly, grunge was a massive movement at the time. The music is timeless. These guys do a brilliant job in replicating it. Just enjoy and don't be critical.....
Holy shit this is wild. Sounds just like them. Looks and moves like them. A cool experience for people that never saw them live.
Damn that “Kurt” is really good at absolutely everything. I wont even list them. Just everything
Except the most important thing, songwriting.
@@sabbracadabra8367 I mean, you don’t know that. Being in a tribute band doesn’t automatically make you completely untalented and unoriginal, it’s just fun.
@@featheryfemme I guess he could surprise me.
Well the crazy energy kurt had on stage is missing and bc they are mostly playing nvm and bleachtells me this should be more based on kurt in 1988- 1992 when he would jump around and what not
@@EvAn-tm3yb Nirvana wasn't playing in bars lol...so Kurt had alot more room to jump and run around on stage lol
He'd fucking hate it, be unique
it's the kind of music and especially vocals that is a pain in the ass to do every night, to me their music was meant to be recorded music with maybe small gigs every once in awhile, it's not suited for Van Halen type stadium tours.
Hed likely hate it..and theres about a dozen of these now...Nirvana UK, Sliver, Buzz Lovers, Nirvana tribute....so many of them now, that all have the look, the gear etc. Some better than others..But Kurt likely would rather these guys play their own music and be themselves..Instead of trying to cash in off being a cover band
So, I have seen these guys play various times and they are pretty amazing, I have also seen Nirvana and as Kurt is dead well....... But for a Spanish band that speaks very to no english this band is the best! Kane the lead singer's whole performance, posture, and even off stage way of being was so realistic, and after a few beers you really feel they are the real deal. Well done Buzzlovers,
We Spaniards do not live in the third world, we also learned a little English.😅😅😅
holy fuck I did not expect them to be Spanish. That just completely blew my mind!!!
As a 47yr old who was alive watching Nirvana do their thing all I can say is I didn’t even know it wasn’t Nirvana for a while, the only thing that put me off was Krist didn’t quite look the same and I didn’t even realise the lead was playing right handed! I fucking enjoyed that 🤘🤘🤘🤘

You need a proper background to write and compose nirvana kind of music and lyrics. Nirvana was a product of kurt+chris+chad+dave backgriund and the 90s context.
That would be so kick ass, I can’t think of one good song that’s been made for the last 10 years. Something like this would be a big refresher to music as a whole.
