Today, Toyota says "no more EVs", tomorrow, Toyota says "we have best EVs.".
Toyota is going nuts
Toyota didn’t say that, the haters did first. “TOYOTA IS GONNA BE LIKE KoDaK iF tHeY dOnT gO eLeCtRIc”
Technically toyota sayd EV’s only makes no sense. They need to fucus on variety
That's because they're shit still working on that shit! Patience, grasshopper!
sales say haters are right@@Anomize23
waited 13 months for my 2022 prius awd-e. dealership ignored to contact me so, cancelled the order and bought tesla model 3.
Big mistake buy Tesla
THEY are similar cars. ENJOY!
Talk is cheap
How big is the prototype battery?
Hit 200k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started with 14k in last month 2024. The price is perfect.
But, How far is that on 3 wheels?
Great video!
Seems like another pipe dream..
Where can I buy me one of these. Oh that’s right, I can’t. Wake me up when I can.
Toyota, what can you do for me today? It's crazy to listen to this marketing crap that's always kicking the can down the road. By the time Toyota gets around to it don't you expect the competitors will be there as well?
Toyota is a decade behind and still only has "concept" EVs.
Where is it?
If I can go 900 miles in a single charge, then I will buy
Snake oil
Waporvare from Toyota 😂
450 in cold Temps, but still awesome
900miles plus you have to fill up your gas engine $150 everytime. It's a hybrid Tesla is better
When it will on road and which price sector
Probably the high end as far as price goes. 900 mi range. China already has a solid state battery car with a 550 mi range. Much cheaper. But still more range than any car today. Charging time of less than 20 minutes from zero. Solid State batteries cannot catch fire, are cheaper to make, and range lasts longer.
Toyota lost 5 years being conservative and saving R&D dollars for fringe hopeful hydrogen. They did their shareholders an injustice. Now they have to double time r&d at increased cost to get ahead of the curve. The board of directors needs to be changed.
*pulls up transmission recall* Me: this you?
The supra on the stage is a rebsdge bmw z4 made in austria from the bmw assembly plant
its always a concept that why i read the comments before wasting time on the videos nowadays
Only one point .... make it REAL .... " SOOONEST ...as REAL " ... not just daily, weekly, monthly annoucing sweet project ... like dreaming . ....please ❤
hey ceo koji sato, where is the 10k pickup truck you promised us last june? im waiting
Marketing B/S, how long to charge from nearly empty
Didn’t the wheels fly off their first effort at a full electric? The 2BZ4X (too busy for S_X). Too heavy with a low center of gravity combined with too much power along with badly matched wheels.Probably work on that first. And remember you can’t turn an ICE into an electric. And it may be harder to turn a hybrid into a pure BEV. Just as you can’t put wings on a caterpillar and call it a butterfly😂. Less talk more work!
1 QUESTION.. WHEN?
I read 1000km range. What is your source of 900 miles?
This clip is nothing but an add!
Best thing for them to do is acquire an ev maker given their might
All talks, where is the real deal with 500 mile+ range and affordable
shocking! I can't wait until they announce one with 1,600 miles of range that they'll also never ship!
Today... NIO with 150kwt battery is being tested. 1100km range on a single charge
Must be nuclear powered
@@ilovepinktacos SSB
@@ilovepinktacosNicholas Tesla was able to harness the natural electromagnetic energy out of the atmosphere and operate an old Lincoln Continental and he drove that car up to 100 miles per hour. The people that are controlling us didn't want us to have that much Freedom
Aptera has offered a 1000 mile battery since its inception.
Nice video
Is it safety or crash tested?
I’m not worried about that aspect. Toyota has always done very well in terms of safety and crash testing. I don’t need 900 miles range. 450 miles and faster charging will suit me just fine.
Toyota announces their new 2028 EV with a claimed range of 900miles, and the NEXT EV is able to cruise in light speed which will be mass produced in 20028.
This is just a dream initiative plan they all ready extended new EV sales from 26 to now 27 a year longer then there planned year. So every 10 months later it's going to prolong later time sale. Just as how so-cal hwy rebuild is now every year finishes to extended time 5 months later over 7 years continuing.
Is the battery safe?
ya for air cleaners. that lint everywhere is annoying
You mean compared to 15 gallons of highly inflammable liquid hydro carbon.
People seem to love hybrids but did you know that according to the NTSB, hybrids are 3x more likely to catch fire than a combustion car and 138x more likely to catch fire than a Tesla. Tesla batteries are currently expected to last between 500k and 1million miles with the battery outlasting the body 3x over. The battery is 98% recyclable into the base minerals and reused in a new battery.
If I don’t see a production car hitting the market, everything is nonsense, period!
When
Diaper Don and George santos will be the new spokespersons for Toyota because they NEVER lie.....
Toyota has the ability to be a world leader, but right now they are five to seven years behind Tesla and three to five years behind Aptera. These numbers are being generous to Toyota. As a former Toyota technician, I really am a Toyota guy. Toyota has some good ideas with their fuel cell vehicles. Unfortunately, they have not gotten a network setup in order to make them more useful for everyday people.
How about sodium ion batteries
Best toyota ev im waiting in pilippines
Meanwhile, 4 months later - imagine the sound of crickets. Is there anyone else who is just a tad peeved of longer range EV promises not being delivered?
I got nervous of this very fast speaker. Too fast, I didn’t watch the video completely because of this.
It’s all about interest, making, selling of cars.
The simple answer is make the batteries easily replaceable! No brainer!
I AM SHOCKED TOYOTA HAS NOT RELEASED A DEDICATED AND COMPELLING BEV!And yes i am MAD AS HELL, That is why i YELL!
That’s funny they just announced a 40% cut in Ev production, going back to hybrids
Bro sounds like he works for Toyota
Oh! It's a concept! Damn i thought finally someone was coming out with a long range EV. Im looking to buy an EV but im waiting for the next generation EV. An Ev that fully charges from 0 to 100 percent in 7 minutes or less and offers a range of atleast 500 miles. An EV that offers this is not yet available. So I'll have patience and waite for the next generation EV with the hopes that these fine qualities and improvements have been applied. Till then i will keep my large full size luxurious Jaguar XJl. I fully fuel it (once a month) and takes me 3.5 to 7 minutes depending on wether or not i run in and grab a coffee. My range is 570 miles. The good people at Tesla told me to have patience, that day is coming.
The only ones that need that type of mileage are people in the service and delivery industry. SF to LA is 350+ and I never go without stopping. I have friends who might commute 70 miles one way. With all the money you'll save on fuel and maintenance. Just rent a long-range vehicle if you have range anxiety. You'll still most likely be stopping. If I'm on a nice trip. What the rush in charging. Relax enjoy the environment. People are so impatient. Never enjoying the moment. You fuel once a month?
Keep the Jag!! you will save thousands. DONT BY AN EV. you have been warned. Research the internet and see what has happened to other drivers of EV's.
Just charge the car overnight at home and you wouldn’t even have to spend 7 minutes a month refueling.
Dream on…. They will squeeze all they can get from us before they give us what we want….. the more you ask for it, the more you pay!
right.. problem solved. Ev Range anxiety.. why worry. 300 km in a blizzard. no charger available. just sit next to plug , bring a cord and sit in your car for a night. why didn't i think of that! @@NickWindham
If the tires don’t fall off.
a solid-state hybrid with a 900-mile range and the ability to use a petrol engine to charge it up would sell like hot cakes. no need to spend a tonne of money on expensive chargers. at the end of the day, you need oil to make a solid-state battery. so combine the 2 .
I hope Toyota starts painting the front fenders
Love to see where they would charge this
900 Miles range ??? All Lies ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Keep up scientists and engineers of Toyota you can do that. Best of luck.
Electric cars pollute 1,850 times more than fuel-based vehicles, study finds The 2022 U.K.-based Emissions Analytics study found that after driving both a gas and electric car 1,000 miles, the number of particles collected from the EV was vastly greater than the gasoline-powered car.
The concept car is not equal to real production car. It may take years and years and years before Toyota can launch this EV.
Toyota"s EV ambitions are like a fart in the wind.
I mean, Toyota’s motto is “Let’s Go Places”.
2026 ? Sound like light years behind!
Any one else notice the fast talking…?
the theory is good but whether it is practicable is a question. High mile range and fast charging means the battery needs to store huge amount of energy no matter what form of battery you use, and fast charging means putting in huge amount of energy into the battery , then you would need a super super and super charger with very large charging current, whether this kind of charger can be built in every gas station in a city is questionable.
Chargers that are private, have to be 7metres(23FEET) from a building, a insurers notice(UK). That sounds like EV's are a huge fire risk. Ask a fireman what the requirements are for an EV accident. Ing the UK they have to form a no go area of about 50ft
So you're telling me that the EV will always have a short shitty range? Damn! Welp i guess I'll keep my jaguar XJl and continue to fully fuel (once a month) taking me 3.5 minutes and my 515 miles of range. At 41 thousand dollars, I'll just leave well enough alone and enjoy a car payment free life for a little while....
@carlsmith5545 u can get a EV at well under 41K and it's not like u have to stop at charging stations. If u r using 500 miles in a month then u could even plug in ur EV to a 15 amp wall plug and be perfectly ok and u would only do it twice a month
@@JesusPerez-yc6yu Show me that EV
@@JesusPerez-yc6yu You show me the EV that i can plug into anything and have a 100 percent charge and in 3.5 to 7 minutes and will give me the 500 mile range and all for under 41 thousand dollars and I'll sell my car right now and go to the bank tomorrow because, this is exactly what I'm talking about, this is the one im waiting for. The day when the next generation EV comes out and has these fine qualities and improvements, I'm going to be the first one at the gates to buy one, believe that. Then I'll have the EV worth boasting. I would love to buy an EV but they first, must be improved. Till then, I'll waite......
Nio ... Here you go cars you can buy Toyota we're in the future... You can buy in 20 years
Best ranged EV
What they say and what will happen in the real world is a different thing.
how many folks commute 200 miles a day im sure some do but not many we need a car that is reasonably priced and goes about 100 miles on a charge has a heater and cooling and a simple radio, power windows optional can be charged for 50 miles in minutes not hours for the masses like the model t another 80 to 100 k car is just not needed
Now let’s get this right…how many new EV’s have this crazy company announced this year and what happened to them ! Oh and aren’t they selling a Hydrogen car and dropping their EV’s anyway !!! mmmm what is this management team thinking really ?
They know EV's are not selling, mainly because the infostructure is not there, plus people are beginning to realise that there are very expensive hidden costs. Like a right off in a accident, high insurance and terrible depreciation within 6months! Plus the huge fire risk.
@@johnchristmas7522 Got one word for this reaction.. NONSENCE 😆
I was negative about EV until I heard of this. I don't know this will make it the mass or not, but it has a much better shot at other EVs currently we have, which I consider a joke. Will I buy this? No. Don't be the first in the line to buy it. I will wait till everybody else buy it.
soon we’ll forget japanese cars
not a single word of 900 miles in this video
Yeah yeah yeah!
I think Toyota is afraid of Chinese electric cars will leave them in the dust.
Where's the real beef?
100 yrs more?? :)
You only talk about the good side of this EV.😮
Give me a break hybrid is not an ev. If you want a true ev it's Teslabest in safety, te h and price. The rest no comparison 😅😅
Vapor ware again?
Is this coming to the UK?
There are so many innovative technology at lab stage. Lets see when toyota actually roll them out in mass quantities. Truth is Toyota misjudged EV revolution and they are far behind.
Good
Now if this is true, I would expect to see this car in America ASAP and I would like to see this car's price. Most likely, the average Joe cannot afford this car. They will ask an astronomical cost since it's the only car to go 900 miles before it needs a recharge.
Toyota doesn't make as much profit in US as it does elsewhere with same product so American sales are secondary.
No 360 turning like byj n crab walk like honda
PPT stage😂😂😂😂😂
Since their bzx4 now inly gets 159 miles and terrible engineering they need to start over
They just say dont buy electric cars and wait while we built ours! Because Toyoda dont have atm any electric car 😂😂
They got the BZ. Shared with the subaru Solterra.
But I thought there anti evs
These improvements in battery range only bring it closer to its rivals. nothing innovative or really new. Other companies are far away ahead from Toyota's BEV battery range. Only the new Prius has a reasonable range.
I would never entertain the idea of buying a EV😂 Manufacturers Can’t Get electronics stable in gas vehicles, no way no EV will ever be safe or/and environmentally as clean as gas vehicles not to mention recyclability
I live in NYC. I grew up in Western NYS. To return to my childhood home, which I do often, there is no practical travel option other than the automobile. The drive from start to finish is in the neighborhood of 400 miles. If a manufacturer can produce a vehicle that will have the range this video predicts, through the Catskills and the Allegheny foothills, I will be at the head of the line. The biggest issue I think is the US does not have the infrastructure to support electric vehicles. There are no charging stations at my point of destination. It is not just a manufacturing challenge it is a challenge to the nation.
So where is it, I have not seen it anywhere? Sounds like BS.
Elon Musk plans to land on Mars with a space ship that has still not being built. Is that also BS?
I ONLY clicked this video to comment, that I NEVER click on videos with the word "SHOCKS" in the title.
My iphone when it was 6 months old i could not tell declination of power and usage. But as it gets older now it can’t hold a day without plugging in. That 900 miles will drastically reduce in no time i believe.
Where is this car???
Waporvare
This is a good, solid, independent video, don’t you think? So where has the EVs won’t work; hydrogen is the only way forward message of 2 years ago gone? And how many years behind in the EV market is Toyota going to be? The number of patents you hold do not mean commercial success - it does mean that you have a very expensive IP Department. Does anyone really believe that they can take on and beat the whole EV market? Come on - find some balanced critical KZhead commentary; don’t use this horribly biased company mouthpiece channel as any source of realism.
Toyota and Ev? 🤣 Kodak and Nokia 😂
If Toyota says 900 miles/10 minute charging....I would assume the REAL WORLD figures would be about half....450 miles/20-30 minute charging.
Toyota should stop with the nonsense.
Do not buy a Toyota car (hybrid or battery operated) because they play dirty on battery warranty ; you will not be able to claim the battery replacement within the warranty period
Believe it when I see it all talk
I would go for hydrogen furl or ethanol fuel options easy ready structure in place can be mote sensible move or even swap battery's hybrids too can be considered
What about ammonia?
The piston/cylinder/crankshaft heat engine whether powered by steam or petrol has had its day. Thankyou and goodnight.
The only benefit for a iCE is the fact you can store the energy in a Jerry can. But the cons are massive vs a simple electric engine. This is from a a guy with 23 cylinders in the garage
@Eddie_-_ what are those massive cons please
@@doriangray6985 inefficient, much of the energy is lost to heat. The engine is only able to operate effectively at a certain RPM, forcing the vehicle to have a complicated and expensive gear box. Slow to react… bad acceleration Complicated, demands 1000s of parts to work. Meaning it becomes expensive to build and maintain.
I’m waiting for Toyota to developer a vehicle that runs on water before I buy a Toyota
They have! according to a YT video I saw recently
These concept cars are just a dang tease. Make the car and let the consumer buy the darn car.
First make a decent electric car which under 250 miles range…then we talk.
