    • Probably the high end as far as price goes. 900 mi range. China already has a solid state battery car with a 550 mi range. Much cheaper. But still more range than any car today. Charging time of less than 20 minutes from zero. Solid State batteries cannot catch fire, are cheaper to make, and range lasts longer.

Too heavy with a low center of gravity combined with too much power along with badly matched wheels.Probably work on that first. And remember you can’t turn an ICE into an electric. And it may be harder to turn a hybrid into a pure BEV. Just as you can’t put wings on a caterpillar and call it a butterfly😂. Less talk more work!

Tesla batteries are currently expected to last between 500k and 1million miles with the battery outlasting the body 3x over. The battery is 98% recyclable into the base minerals and reused in a new battery.

As a former Toyota technician, I really am a Toyota guy. Toyota has some good ideas with their fuel cell vehicles. • Oh! It's a concept! Damn i thought finally someone was coming out with a long range EV. Im looking to buy an EV but im waiting for the next generation EV. An Ev that fully charges from 0 to 100 percent in 7 minutes or less and offers a range of atleast 500 miles. An EV that offers this is not yet available. So I'll have patience and waite for the next generation EV with the hopes that these fine qualities and improvements have been applied. Till then i will keep my large full size luxurious Jaguar XJl. I fully fuel it (once a month) and takes me 3.5 to 7 minutes depending on wether or not i run in and grab a coffee. My range is 570 miles. The good people at Tesla told me to have patience, that day is coming.

    • The only ones that need that type of mileage are people in the service and delivery industry. SF to LA is 350+ and I never go without stopping. I have friends who might commute 70 miles one way. With all the money you'll save on fuel and maintenance. Just rent a long-range vehicle if you have range anxiety. You'll still most likely be stopping. If I'm on a nice trip. What the rush in charging. Relax enjoy the environment. People are so impatient. Never enjoying the moment. You fuel once a month?

High mile range and fast charging means the battery needs to store huge amount of energy no matter what form of battery you use, and fast charging means putting in huge amount of energy into the battery , then you would need a super super and super charger with very large charging current, whether this kind of charger can be built in every gas station in a city is questionable.

The drive from start to finish is in the neighborhood of 400 miles. If a manufacturer can produce a vehicle that will have the range this video predicts, through the Catskills and the Allegheny foothills, I will be at the head of the line. The biggest issue I think is the US does not have the infrastructure to support electric vehicles. There are no charging stations at my point of destination. It is not just a manufacturing challenge it is a challenge to the nation.

    • The only benefit for a iCE is the fact you can store the energy in a Jerry can. But the cons are massive vs a simple electric engine. This is from a a guy with 23 cylinders in the garage

    • @@doriangray6985 inefficient, much of the energy is lost to heat. The engine is only able to operate effectively at a certain RPM, forcing the vehicle to have a complicated and expensive gear box. Slow to react… bad acceleration Complicated, demands 1000s of parts to work. Meaning it becomes expensive to build and maintain.
