Brief explanation here nothing to technical .. I will go into great detail with the channel members in the near future .. affects of noise on the system etc etc..

Can we have those copies of A4 containing in side to read as always very good mate and thanks for shearing.,
If the rcd trips when doing a 2H test, you say perform a 3lo test, could you also do a 2lo test? Whats the difference between the 2, thanks
Is they a table for results like zs for live/cpc
spot on, very helpful Worked on app for me fine
Niceone Ross 👌.. think it's just i phones that don't have a "join" button .. I think youtube had a falling out with apple so I'm told
@@Mainly_Electrical yes they are shit phones... HAha
Great content ❤

If your Earth loop Zs values are low and enough fault current passes to trip the protective devices in 0.4s then would you still consider adding an RCD (Rcbo) for additional protection...?
Hi mate I have a question for you, install has a 16mm twin and earth cable with an additional 10mm earth cable to make a 16mm cpc, it has a kmf switch up front 60 amp, cable runs under floor boards between downstairs and upstairs, then down inside the wall about a meter into the c.u Have you come across this situation before is it acceptable for a c.u change, or Not interested to hear your thoughts thank you
What's your issue with it Gd ? sounds good to me mate .. has it just been installed or something ??
@@Mainly_Electrical no its on a c.u that might need changing, was just wondering if the 16mm twin feed would need rcd protection or not, never seen a c.u feed by twin and earth before
@@gd-bq7em very common if the boards some distance from the meter .. not an issue with no rcd on sub circuit ., if you slapped it on a 30mA it wouldn't comply anyway.. chances are that sub circuit did need additional protection when installed as probably post 2008 ??? But in reality it's not going to get it .. it's fine mate as is just get the board changed
@@Mainly_Electrical okay yes it is a bit of a distance away from the meter, everything tests fine with the cable, some one mentioned to me about a 30ma time delayed rcd upfront, would you make a note on the cert after installation of the new c.u about it
@@gd-bq7em 30mA s types don't exist .. and if they did they'd be useless ..no need for a comment you'll be issuing an EIC not an EICR
Great videos if we join can we pay annually?
Hi John .. it just rolls over each month sorry 👍
Mate what do you think of the Fluke 1664 FC? Looking to buy a decent MFT
The bees knees John .. swear to god buy one you'll thank me
@@Mainly_Electrical cheers mate that’s the one il get 👍
@@Mainly_Electrical have you got it long mate? Have any issues with it?
@@Mainly_Electrical thanks mate sounds good was looking at the Meger 1741 aswel but think I would go with the fluke 👍
What is this, what does it mean😂
Great video👍
