The proper way is to reach _around_ and pet them from behind, petting the back of the cats' neck & shoulder blades first, & then pet them on their head. ~ ~ Also the clip at 3:35. That cat is terrified of whatever's behind the camera that we can't see. Maybe the person filming it was wearing a mask (Halloween) or something?
