I would like for any German people to know that everything the king said really he was speaking for the ordinary British people. We have major respect for Germany and we have moved on from our ancestors actions. I hope that with this visit, we can become even closer friends and see more of each other, in each others countries! @@peterworsley Common misconception, Google the "Crown Estates" and what they made, say, last year. Since George III subsequent Kings/Queens have given all profits from the Crown Estates to the treasury, who then calculates a percentage of the profits to give as the sovereign grant. All the best!

I don't know how to put to words the wonder I feel at a well disciplined military display. We used to have it in South Africa, but nowadays even our army goes on strike and there's very little of this level of perfection to be seen. I am in awe of the Germans. Fantastic and so respectable. An honour to be seeing this, thank you. Queen Camilla is stunning, she makes King Charles look happy and relaxed.
And I'm disgusted by the German King and his mistress. But that's just me.

When you think how Germany was razed by American and British attacks during WWII, and now - King Charles wasn't even born until 1948, after the war. I remember him vividly years ago, an awkward youth. How he has matured and become dignified and statesmanlike since he married and has a happy personal life again. His German was impressive. I wonder if he learns the European languages in school.
