What is so wrong about the lineage of royalty is that, no matter what their deeds are, members of a RF are expected to simply fill the throne from a previous monarch, and inherit all its benefits and wealth, with no character test even being considered! Imo ascension to the throne should be based on whether the person is fit to take that role: the strength of their commitment to do right by the Constitution and the people affected by it, a proven track record of honesty, dealing justly and truthfully, and administering that which will truly benefit and perpetuate the nation's prosperity and co-operation with other like nations. Many think he should of passed it over to William but at 73 he certainly won't be around as long as his mother who was crowned when things were very different to todays attitude to monarchy (although they do seem to live to ripe ole ages, all well into their 90,s but still gives Charles a good 20 years in that case!)
