He made a vague statement and didn't even name any names. It's obvious that YOU are presuming Neil to be, and recognizing Neil as, "the idiot working like mad to make you think he's right." Once again, it was a vague statement, no names mentioned, you filled in the blanks yourself. If you didn't think that to be true, you may have said, "I know, it's amazing how much of a true man and how humble Neil is in his knowledge, and that Patrick is like a con artist with his logical fallacies. Why the hell is he trying to convince us so hard? What does he have to gain? • If you read the research papers you’ll see that they did have a double blind test, a large part of clinical trials in general unfortunately is actually just setting up trials, finding volunteers, limited resources etc. the trials for covid was fast tracked meaning more resources, priority and multiple clinical phases occurring at the same time which is a risk for the volunteers but they signed knowing the risk. mRNA vaccines is not a new technology, we have very fast and accurate genomic techniques and covid-19 was similar to past viruses and the antigens was identified quickly, another thing to add is that even if something does have negative side effects which surprise is everything it essentially goes benefit-risk assessment (common practice in science and is why scientists should not control government) If anything covid highlighted how quickly science can achieve something with unlimited resources which is sad, think of how each time we go to war MASSIVE technological advancements are made.

And look at how it affected their economy. It's better to just go with herd immunity and allow folks to make their own decisions. Being "vaccinated" doesn't stop the spread of COVID. It's just a booster shot. You can contract it vaccinated or unvaccinated. It makes no difference to the rate that it's spread. So just get COVID and move on, if you're healthy and not elderly of course. I hope people remember the social experiment of control COVID was, and choose freedom of the individual first, and not authority.

  • I live in the Czech Republic where we locked down at the beginning of this pandemic for about two months. Once our government realized that this virus kills the obese, the elderly and those with other serious health problems we went back to normal. In hospitals and at doctors clinics you had to wear a mask and distance yourself from others, which is understandable as there are sick folk about. Some companies, especially the German companies in our country, still demanded a vaccine or a covid test every week so the Czech government told them they had to pay for the tests on their staff, which they did and we were tested every week. On the production floor however, we had the masks around our necks and only put them on if senior executives from Germany were visiting. After all the fuss, Czech Republic came out with the same death rate as countries that went over board with the mandates, give or take a few thousand. How come countries in Africa who could not get there populations to wear masks or lock down have very few deaths from this virus? It's called natural immunity.

They brought the experiment to humans despite that; despite knowing it had 20+ adverse conditions, despite it just being gene therapy and not not a traditional RNA vaccine and for only one spike protein. On top of that they tried to fudge data that showed the mortality of the placebo was actually better than those who took the shot. Thats just some of the digging to learn of all the shortcomings of a failed shot, but thats exactly the stuff they tried to hide and wanted to hide for 75 years so that you could simply bow down and buy the rhetoric and slogan of Safe and Effective so you could be just like the lab rats. You guys bought it hook line and sinker without questioning anything. This is the same kind of thinking that went into panic to buy up all the toilet paper i the country instantly. • The answer to this is widely known, and there are three main reasons: 1. Generally, the only way to stop a significant virus outbreak is for most of the population to gain immunity. There are calculations done during outbreaks to determine the percentage of the population needed to have immunity in order to beat the virus. Without immunity, we sometimes see diseases like measles resurface and spread when a lot of people don’t get vaccinated. 2. Some people who are immunocompromised or have other medical conditions cannot get vaccinated, so we can help protect them by reducing spreadability. 3. Two vaccinated people are much less likely to infect one another than one vaccinated person because vaccines are not 100% effective.

It was a 'leaky vaccine' meaning that it was very specific in the strain it was effective against....meaning basically that vaccinating everyone was in effect SELECTING for new strains. Whereas natural immunity has a broader immunity. Reading RFK jr's book "The Real Anthony Fauci", the first chapter demolishes all of Neil's arguments. Side note: Neil loves stats, I don't believe for a sec he doesn't know which states did better. If those medications where allowed to be utilized off label successfully as antivirals against covid19 then the covid19 vaccines would have not received the emergency use authorization. The emergency use authorization allowed pfizer and moderna to profit in the billions. The covid19 vaccines would have taken 5-10 years if it was not granted the emergency use authorization. This explains why supporters of !v3rm3ct!n and hydr0xy chloroquine and zinc were demonized by the mass media and doctors prohibited from prescribing these medications off label. • @@StGCfiLife I think the whole conversation is over your head. It wasn't a simple matter of how many times a vaccine was tested. As NDT explained, there were epidemiological factors to consider. NDT acknowledged that the testing on covid vaccines wasn't as long as normal, readily admits the process was sped up, and explains plainly that this was because of the public health crisis. It is PBD who keeps going back to the lie that the vaccines weren't tested. They WERE tested. They were not tested as rigorously as other vaccines, which NDT addresses at least twice. There is a MASSIVE difference between "zero tests" and "thousands of tests". And even if the typical, non-pandemic standard for a vaccine is "millions of tests", that fact doesn't turn "thousands of tests" into "zero tests". They had sufficient data from which they could extrapolate and predict the outcomes. Yes, more data would have been better, but time was the enemy, and the longer testing took, the less lives could be saved by the vaccines by multiple orders of magnitude. This is a concept I could get the average elementary school student to understand easily. But you go on about some knowledge that you think NDT lacks.

So it's obvious that either the host is completely ignorant and doesn't know what he's talking about therefore he cannot mount a rebuttal, or he's arguing in bad faith just spouting off talking points to get a rise out of his audience and overwhelm Neil. The ladder is a common strategy employed by the right, because it takes 10 times the effort to disprove something than it takes to make the accusation in the first place. • It wasn't tested... enough. And, well, the results are right there. Fact of the matter is, the human body is such a complex construct that it's borderline impossible to test any vaccine against all possible permutations of that body. But, with just three quarters of a year of testing, you've barely begun scratching the surface of the number of possible permutations. Heck, from one individual body to the next, you can have such wildly different reactions to even more basic compounds that, well... what is perfectly healthy for one individual is actually lethal to another. Peanut allergies? How about lactose intolerance? And on and on and on. And people genuinely thought that three quarters of a year of testing a vaccine was enough? It's... unrealistic. The malaria vaccine took 40+ years to develop. That is the sort of timescale which is more realistic with vaccines. Heck, we've been trying to create an HIV vaccine for decades as well by now and, well... no dice yet. Really... the SARS-2 (COVID) vaccines just weren't tested. That really just is the long and short of it. By numbers alone, the number of people or bodies they could have tested it on pales in comparison to the number of people that the vaccines were rolled out to (the entire human population). Divide one by the other and, well, the result is approaching zero. So, yeah, mathematically it remained untested before being rolled out.

  • Trying to explain complicated ideas to people who won't even get through remedial math is never going to end well. The frustration in Tyson is from the fact that he's trying to distill incredibly complex situations down to digestible tidbits so the audience can begin to understand it. This is the same for any complex structure, and everyone on here that has a job that requires more than a few brain cells to do, will understand. "Why are you replacing the spark plugs because the car won't run" is a simple question with a very complicated answer when you break it down to someone who know absolutely nothing about internal combustion engines. They have to understand pistons, cam shafts, internal combustion itself, ignition, and how all of those parts work together to make a car "go". Yet if someone were to come up to you and go, "we don't even know spark plugs work" is going to frustrate the crap out of any mechanic that understands the process. Tyson is trying to explain the extremely complicated subject of virology to people that won't bother to learn it, but then want to have an opinion on it. That is tiresome, and you eventually get to the point where you just have to say, "listen dipshit, you barely know how to read. Just trust me." Either get educated, or trust people. What we have today are uneducated people that refuse to trust people, and it's a recipe for disaster.

  • This is a great example of the Dunning phenomenon where Patrick Bet-David thinks he knows more than anyone else including virologists, epidemiologists, etc. and is confident that he knows more. His questions are leading with a certain bias. Most scientists would not be as sure but look at the risk profile in conjunction with continuing to study and improve the knowledge on a subject. The good is not the enemy of the perfect.

    • I would never convince someone to not take it but I can also say that I had covid twice. 1st one was in 2020 and for 10 days it was the worst I've ever been sick (but not bad enough to go to the hospital)and then a year later I got it. I was mildly sick for 3 or 4 days no different then having a cold with a headache. I'm over 50 and over weight and got through it fine without the shot.

    • @@bindingcurve 1)We don't fully know 2) Risk for severe disease depends on what age you are (Neil using the 3% statistic is laughable for a man who claims to be a scientist) 3) The data say that the jabs doesn't prevent transmission or disease contraction 4) Cleveland Clinic released a study almost 2 weeks ago that shows that with each jab or booster you receive, you are more likely to contract covid-19. And all of that isn't even acknowledging that the narrowly targeted vaccine is likely to cause a proliferation of variants

  • It's astounding how someone will fight for their incorrect, uninformed position on a topic. Some people don't even understand what freedom is. They confuse it with absolute sovereignty, even where their decisions will negatively impact others. It's a very selfish and childlike stance.
