Here's some more content from last year's Festival of Speed. This is about Sebastian Vettel who took part in the event to celebrate his career, driving a couple of beautiful F1 cars from his collection, showing his initiative 'Race without Trace'.
In fact Sebastian drove his ex-Mansell 1992 Williams FW14B and his ex-Senna 1993 McLaren MP4/8 using a carbon neutral fuel, produced by P1 Fuel, an European company with headquarters in Berlin and production facilities in Belgium.
Enjoy the sounds of the Renault V10 and the Ford Cosworth HB V8 engines in action on the hillclimb course!

  • Early 90s F1 cars are probably the most beautiful looking and best sounding cars out of them all. Williams FW14B & FW15C, Ferrari 641 & 643, McLaren MP4/5B & MP4/6, Jordan 191, Sauber C12 & C13, Benetton B191, Tyrrell 019 & 020, Footwork FA15, Leyton House CG901 & CG911 and so many others still look and sound as beautiful today as they did 30 years ago.

  • "IT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM!" hahaha jokes aside, I really love these classic race cars being out in the wild. The belong on the road, not a dusty private collection. Hats off to Vettel for getting these out and letting them roar for the people

  • hope seb is showing the world that if we can make these sustainable fuels that these cars are using easily made and cost effective we can move F1 engines back to V10's & won't sound any different

    • To bad that not one single manufacturer still builds V10... I guess we´re gonna have to use V12 then instead, fine by me! 😅👌

    • @Schmitzelhaus That's depressing to hear. Hope the V8 don't go extinct then.

  • I've been watching F1 for almost 36 years and the FW14B remains _the_ definitive F1 car to me. The fact that Seb uses one from his personal collection as a showcase for sustainable fuels warms my usually cold heart. Too often is it the case that older racing cars become part of a private collection to seldom see the light of day and not be appreciated by younger/newer fans of motorsport.

  • They sound EPIC! I LOVE that F1 has been the absolute peak of race car development for decades now. Race cars with the ultimate in engines, suspension, aerodynamics, braking, wheels n tyres and even in the end safety. Every year new rules are introduced to slow the cars down a bit and soon enough the cars are even faster than before. The evolution is staggering.

  • Absolutely love the 3.5L V10s, best sounding F1 engines. Pity the McLaren MP4/8 lacked V10 power, it was a gorgeous and nimble car in the hands of Senna 🇧🇷

  • I have a few (toy) diecast F1 cars, Seb has a couple of carbon fiber cars (real)...I play with mine every once in a while by taking them out of their case and sitting them on my table and looking at them, Seb plays with his toys by driving them at Good wood 😂.

  • My goodness, were the ‘90s and early ‘00s cars so awesome. Small, light, twitchy & agile machines that sounded absolutely sinister! Newer fans NEED to see these cars & just stop watching completely till we get them back. We can do it completely guilt-free with synthetic fuels, so there’s no reason not to. Smaller & lighter cars coupled with the ground-effect aero of today would also make the racing absolutely awesome. And for God’s sake, bring back grooved tyres and refuelling. Watching Grand Prix cars dancing right on the ragged edge was NEVER boring to watch, even in the most uneventful & processional races ever. It’s why people held Monaco in such high regard. You could really SEE and FEEL the speed. If enough people DEMANDED that these featherweight missiles come back, then they’d be back by next year. Formula 1 isn’t some environmentalist Expo ceremony, nor is it a place for car makers to show off some fancy tech no one gives a shit about. It’s a race, period. The only people that F1 should be catering to are the fans. They are the main source of income for the sport and the very reason it is what it is today. And if that weren’t the case & they didn’t need us watching, they wouldn’t pour millions of R&D money into making the cars more raceable. It’s time we ALL spoke up. And as far as car makers go, if they really don’t want V10s back (yes, even Ferrari), then they should leave and do Formula E instead. Give us our sport back. Bring back the REAL Formula One.
