I believe its to verify that he has the correct amount if weights in the kart according to his own weight. If he has too little weights they will know when he gets on the scale. A lighter kart goes faster so its an advantage, they all have to weigh around the same

@@BelgianOperator I expect it's like handicapping in horse racing in some systems - they put weights on with the riders to handicap the better horses and make the race closer, whereas in this case all the carts are the same so they make sure all the drivers+weights are the same weight and only skill at driving matters.
I think that is something on psychological nature when ur 1st you dont feel such big urge to drive more agressively or whatever but when ur behind 1-2 guys and trying to catch em up it somehow makes you drive better and better cause you need to overtake them asap.

u also see the corner lines better when someone is ahead so u take a more efficient corner and braking point as well
Same applies to running. 2 people running together can often go farther than either of them alone. It's not all physical. The mental is just as much a part of it all.
@@bbbbbbb51 Professional runners actually have pace runners that help keep their speed up. When youre tired you might not realize how much youre slowing down, but having someone at full energy setting a pace beside you will keep you focused on maintaining your own pace.
You automatically drive better than the kart in front or you make a mistake or he has a better kart.

Im really enjoying these videos. Racing never really made sense to me until I saw these because you explain whats going on. Whenever I saw races before I was always like "Why do they all go in the same line why arent they passing each other?" and now I understand whats going on and why you do that stuff and where the skill comes in. This has made racing much more interesting to me

That...was...fantastic! This is my first look at kart Racing, I have raced F1 The Game since 2017 to date in simulation and I am hooked. Watching your three races and the race line, the overtakes.....fantastic.
So interesting to get an idea of all the strategies involved during the race. There is so much more to it than we spectator's can imagine..

I always see KZheadrs in the the sim racing/racing sections of KZhead doing official karting races and not do great at all, even though they’re channels are geared towards this type of thing. But you are the only channel to actually show how to properly drive around a track, and to actually do good in races!

Good stuff! I used to go to test days in a senior Easykart. Went to Rye house, Clay Pigeon, Glan Y Gors, Rissington and Shennington. My regular haunts though were Llandow and Whilton Mill. That was from 2009-2012. Whilton didn’t have the run off strips back then. I’ve thought about getting back into it and probably will in the future when the cost of the mortgage falls and the kid is a bit older.
