The former Aleister Black in WWE, now Malakai Black (aka Tommy End) is the latest guest on Squared Circle Pit. We talk about his huge debut in AEW, how it was the plan all along after his release, and what he hopes to accomplish in this new phase of his career. We also talk a lot about how he got into heavy metal, what he's listening to now, who in WWE he used to talk to about heavy metal (some surprising answers), the music he and his wife, Thea Trinidad aka Zelina Vega enjoy together and a brief convo about his atheism.

After Undertaker retired. He is definitely my favorite wrestler. I love his muay thai in ring style and character and for sure his taste in music! 🤘
WWE in a nutshell, sadly. Ive watched that product for almost 29 years, i still watch it, but i do believe AEW is much better, even though its still new
absolutely 🔥
Waaaaayyy better
Watched wwf since 1988. I stopped watching in 2017, when I got burnout by their product. It became repetitive, insulting, uninspiring, and boring. Thank Tony Khan for AEW, the mainstream pro wrestling in USA is alive and fun again. I still watch NJPW, Impact, RoH, MLW, and NWA shows.
I'm going since like 95. Wwf/e used to be so much better. I long for the ruthless and attitude eras. They were so dope back then.
I'm an old ECW mark. The WWE product has always been insulting and unoriginal. I stopped watching about 5 minutes after the ECW "relaunch", and discovered NJPW for myself. From there I started watching AJPW, NOAH, CMLL, AAA. There's a lot of good wrestling out there not called WWE.
Tommy End is a complete wrestler, top notch in ring worker, great promo, great aesthetic and so on 👌
I was the same way with Alice In Chains growing up. Then one day i was like i have to find out why this band is so big. Then I started diving deep into their stuff and giving it a chance. Then it was like my ear got tuned to their unorthodox style and I was hooked. They are probably my favorite band of all time now
Great band
Fuck ya.. Love seeing wrestling expand to more places like it used to be
The more I hear and read of him the more I feel like I should know him. Seems like we would be good friends.
Great interview!
The new Spectral Wound album is a must. Some of the best black metal this year. Echoes of second wave.
This interviewer legit sounds just like CVV
I kept trying to figure out where I had heard this voice before but I’ve never seen this guy in my life. I’m happy this was the first comment.
Yes!
Ha! For sure
Nice to see an interviewer who lets the wrestler just speak and not try and get themselves over, good guy. Tommy always comes off as a really easy to talk to person too.
Literally my favourite current wrestler! As well as wyatt. Black is such a down to earth, polite and genuine guy. The dude is a absolute legend and amazing wrestler, so glad he's being used the way he should be. Such a great addition to AEW!
When I'm sad I listen to My name is mud It makes me happy that song
DSBM I learned from this man especially Shining, Darkthrone, Dissection, Dark Funeral, Behemoth &, so many Black Metal bands as long as it's background. I don't know that a Pierce the Veil loving guy like me can love Black Metal so much no way in my weirdest imagination although I love metal bands way way back when I was younger, but I'm into any genres no matter what because at the end of the day is what you're demeanor matters and be the representation of the nicest/coolest version of yourself everday.
Pierce The Veil is one of the best bands that came out of the 2010's scene !
That’s a vibe, especially that last line. Just got into Black Metal myself. I was listening to Bathory, and it just clicked.
@@medusa6491 indeed brother that band taught me alot through dark times
@@KaliDreamer thanks brother, oh yeah they are awesome too, let's just say Malakai Black has to do something with it. Remember that time when he and Paul Booth had a conversation? I learned so much from this guy, no doubt he is my undisputed favorite superstar of today
@@pssthnrvn I didn’t know about that, I need to see it!
His eye is better!
He uses Ogentroost by Amenra as his entrance theme. Idk if you or youtube do the captions but man trying to find those bands was so hard. For the one it says "pajamas" like what? 😂
Tommy's the ultimate Squared Circle Pit guest
Damn Malakai. Way to be right on point with everything. Alice in chains is the absolute goat. Ella Fitzgerald is incredible. Also were pretty similar where Demanufacture was my first album ever purchased....right along side with Jar of Flies and the ST. He found black metal a bit before I did tho it was a few more years before I knew it existed.
AEW 🔥🔥🔥
I still laugh to this very day, when "wwe" fucked up on Malakai Black's "90-day, no compete clause." I can't wait to see him tear it up in AEW. Also, RIP Joey Jordison
I like this dude, seems very down to earth and legit. Sucks WWE got rid of him cause I liked his character, didn't catch the Tommy End character but I was in time for the Aleister Black character and I thought that was the shit. Reminded me of Taker, Gangrel/Brood etc very dark and promos were amazing. Don't think they knew what to do with him anyways. Glad to see him on AEW and quite clearly he is gonna be a top tier wrestler where he belongs. Dig Ogentroost as entrance music too and the character fuckin badass. Easily favorite character on AEW now.
Because of Malakai Black’s theme song. I started checking out Amenra.
That's cool. Can you do more TBDM slime show again?
Nice owsom I love you 💓💓💓
Congrats to black for getting out of the nuthouse ……. WWE
I don't feel guilty about listening to a wide variety of genre's! Tori Amos, Cradle Of Filth, Stryper, Tom McDonald, Journey, Tears For Fears, Public Enemy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rush, Mercyful Fate, Prince to name a few! I'm 54 years old!
My lord, we found a heretic! May we burn them?!
i love tears for fears
My current bands I like Through the eyes of the dead Skeletonwitch Napalm death Animosity As I lay dying Exodus Sigh
If you like Alice In Chains then listen to scorpions song animal magnetism. I think that song helped inspire some of their sound. It’s the only scorpions song that sounds like alice in chains
Ecw Kid Kash way underated.just saying....
zaandam kwam die gozer toch vandaan?
The Baddest Dude In Aew
Bro, it's Malakai Black
bro, we suck. thanks! :)
@@metalinjection I don't think you suck
Malachi* not Malakai
This dude sounds like chris van vleet
This guy is so scary when wrestling, so weird to see him down to earth in this interview lol
Same Way They Did Keith Lee & Karrion Kross
Doesn't Malakia mean something like "Sh*t" in Greek? Could've sworn it was
You're thinking of malaka
Zelina Vega like BABYMETAL? ;p
He looks like *Ragnar Lothbrok* on steroids.
My name Matthewhisee i’m a big fan of AEW wrestling or a league wrestling Alistair black unknown you from WWE and NXT Malachi Malachi that’s your name in AEW what sort of WhatWhat kind of food are you looking for in AEW I hope it’s really spooky. Is it true born Strohman
