To count as a One-Hit KO or One-Move KO, the move has to generate enough knockback to KO Mario (or someone heavier) from the center of Final Destination. I did not count Sacrifical KOs (like Bowser's Side B) for this. Also, I want to clarify a few misconceptions: - In Brawl, the Klap Trap in Jungle Japes does not OHKO - Luigi's Down Taunt does virtually nothing in Smash 64 and Melee - In Melee, Marth's Counter deals a flat 7% and can not OHKO - The Daybreak item in SSB4 and Ultimate is close to OHKO but it requires a little damage - Knuckle Joe can KO with a combo of two of his moves but not with only one move

In brawl, smash 4, and ult, Ness can consistently one hit ko a good amount of the cast, including a few heavies, with 2 pk fires(close range) into the pk thunder launcher(launching himself), all from 0% at close range. this is in fact consistent across all 3 games when it happens, and only if all of it hits. its more noticeable in smash 4 and ult compared to brawl, mostly due to the rage mechanic in the latter 2 games. this one fact about Ness doing this with only 3 moves is surprisingly, extremely unknown, but its all true. as I've done this a few times back in the day throughout each game's era. its prob more of a one combo or 2-3 move ko, but it technically is a one hit ko, since it can ko at the center or a little bit past at 0%, depending on weight/rage(if Smash 4/Ult).
It's funny how pokeballs, assist trophy's and final smashes used to be able to take entire stocks on their own

The only one I remember being absolutely obnoxious was Tabuu's circular red waves. However, it did encourage players to learn how to spot dodge, and fast. The others you could D.I. to survive a little longer.

They don't sound exactly the same though. The smash 64 ones sound very similar to Mario 64, but the Melee ones sound a bit different, almost like the ones from Mario 64 DS

@@adamspeiser6449 Super Mario 64 does this weird thing where most of Mario's voice clips are pitched slightly differently when heard in-game. If you've ever tried replacing Mario's voice clips in SM64, it can be a real pain because the new sound effect that you added will sound noticeably off-pitch. Anyway, the voice clips in Melee are just the original voice lines without any of the Mario 64 pitch shifting. It's also why some of Luigi's voice clips in Melee sound closer to those in SM64.

Nah he's literally the test subject in Smash, in every stage build or training session he is the default character as you're also a Mario testing. And the player most set guide has a Mario figure taking every blow of each final smash. Mario needs a vacation

I am not going to be too picky and say that Yoshi can tank hits like the home run bat with armor, but DI would definitely make a lot of these not a one hit KO, along side teching and weight. I would say that staying consistent all the way through with Mario makes sense. If you want something powerful to counter, have Mario use the homerun bat, but try using DI or at least try to get back after hitting. Like it is now, the best analogy would be to play a fighting game like Dragon Ball fighterz and getting TOD, but the combo is a blue combo. Just my opinion of course, but I enjoyed the video nonetheless

well for it to kill Mario at centre stage, Mario would need around 10-20% already, so it's not truly a One-Hit KO

@@TheBeggies95 oh when i say 10-20% it's no DI at center stage. It's kinda like Little Mac's KO Punch where it doesn't actually kill at 0%. Even without DI, Mr. Game & Watch's 9 doesn't kill at 0%.

I think Meta Ridley hitting the back of the ship while you're standing on it should be one, one of the more dangerous things in Brawl too imo, you have like a second to jump to not get dunked

That's an Deku seed, in the game, if you throw it at your enemy, you will make your enemy dizzy, like if they used the shield for too long or you broke their shield, if your enemy has a high percentage, instead of stunning, it will send it flying off the map, this also happens on low percentage but only if the enemy is in the air, plus, even if Kirby CAN avoid all attacks by turning into stone, there are some attacks that Kirby just can't avoid them by just turning into stone
0:00 bro killed him at 0 PERCENT and did 8 PERCENT OF DAMAGE. Home run bat = most broken smash 64 item confirmed.

If I had to guess he upped the damage ratio for higher launch rate because looking at some of these moves is that they have a chance at a OHKO but they would have to have a bit of damage so in logical count some of these don’t count due to probably having the launch rate upped Edit 1: final smashed also count to the launch rate cause I know for a fact that captain falcons FS is definitely not able to OHKO at 0% in the middle of the map
You forgot the the black hole glitch from melee and brawl it does require some set up but it is a one hit ko
I remember seeing that on KZhead in 2004 or was it posted in 2005?
I don't think it counts as a 1-Hit KO, it uses after all two Lucarios doing the same move, and then even more a bunch of Hotheads.
The Melee one I guess could count, but in my opinion it is a bunch of moves hitting at the same time

I would add Peach's (Daisy's) final smash to the list. If it gets you offstage it puts you to sleep and KO one stock automatically.

Shouldnt it be done with the heaviest character in the game to be proven as a true ohko?
With the rage mechanic in Smash 4, any move can kill in one hit if you're at or above 100%.

Is Bury Immunity the reason Olimar’s Final Smash OHKs? Or would it still insta-kill without it?
Normally it wouldn't, but with the bury immunity interact as it buries you to stop you from dying prematurely
