    • in a way its not, think about it there are tonssss of boxers with undefeated records, and tbh most pro boxers arent very showy, they dont beef, they dont trashtalk, boxing at the highest level is very extroverted sport and the ones that sell are the rivalry matchups

Only sometimes you can watch a message with a photo of handsome guy Vasily Lomachenko, sometimes small programs on pro-Russian enemy channels. It's sad.

  • I like how he alludes to Mayweather's brittle wrist being the reason his power diminished and he became even more defense first. People who criticize Mayweather, don't realize how great he had to be to adapt his style due to his hands. I give him even more credit for that. Earlier in his career he used to knock guys out

  • I think mayweathers style seems easy to beat but in the ring it's totally different, the real reason he's so hard to beat is because of his timing, people always talk about his speed and how he's fast, the truth is his speed isn't anything special, his reaction timing is what is truly impressive. Mayweather puts himself in a position to utilize his whole body in order to protect himself from any incoming offense. His reflexes as timing are impeccable to the point where he doesn't need to do much to stay unscathed, moving very subtly is enough for him. Mayweather has a natural talent that is in his blood for timing, this is why fighters like his dad and uncle were never super big champions, they utilized the shoulder roll too, but couldn't perform it to its true potential because they didn't carry the timing that Floyd jr does. Shoulder roll is a great defense no matter the person, but the truth is is that mayweather was blessed to be taught the shoulder roll, because it was truly the perfect style for him. Different styles differ among body type, reflex time and natural tendencies that you are born with, these all play a big factor in what is considered a perfect style, because the truth is it's not the style that is impenetrable or perfect, it's the person that utilizes it making it seem that way, more people need to understand this concept and stop trying to copy pro fighters styles. Bottom line is that every person is different and certain things suit certain people.

    • Good statement but let’s not forget Pretty Boy Floyd, everyone wants to talk about Money Mayweather but no one wants to talk about Pretty Boy Floyd and how much of an offensive fighter he use to be before he continuously hurt his hands. He was just as much an offensive fighter and toe to toe boxer as anyone else in his youth but with age comes experience and his true gift even more than defense and hard work and dedication and timing is his ability to read people and their movements on the fly in such a short time.

    • It's not delusional or sad it's what sells tickets and gains publicity. I wouldn't say so much the UK more the US. In the UK we respect and take more notice of humility. Our favourite fighters are those such as Lennox Lewis, Ricky Hatton or more recently Anthony Joshua. All very humble and kind natured men. But in the US they LOVE controversial more cocky fighters and it's not always 'cos they actually like them it's partly loving to hate them. In Eastern Europe they like more humble, intelligent fighters and cocky arrogant fighters get less publicity. It's all a big game. Don't draw conclusions about countrymen based on the way boxers behave.
