I learned a while ago to know better than to watch any trailer for any movie nowadays. All they do is ruin it. Unless it was Tenet. I could have used all the help I could get to figure that one out. Fuck me. So thankful that I didn't watch a single clip of dune 2 before it came out though. Fantastic.

The show with the same name is much better than this will be, and it was cancelled...glad to see it all here for this unrelated movie with the same name at least I won't have to sit through it now.
No, this is great! Getting AppleTV was not an option for me to begin with, so I appreciate getting the necessary parts just from the trailer.

Hold up why did the dude steal other guys world? That part isn't ruined at all from the trailer. It showed enough to get people hooked imo
Somebody watched Sliders in the 90s. This is almost the plot of Sliders. Only difference in sliders it wasn't a box. Guy continuing his father's research accidentally created a wormhole device and him and for other random people got trapped on a random alternate Earth he kept travelling from alternate reality to alternate reality trying to find the original reality he came from in an infinite number of realities. And eventually ended up being followed by a race of people that were conquering one reality after another that were kind of like the Nazis except they were taking over entire realities not just one planet they were called the cro-mags or something like that. If memory serves me and the storyline he found his way back home and the cro-mags followed him to his reality and took it overWas really dark and creepy towards the end all the original cast one by one died as the show progressed. By the end of the series the guy that had made the device technically died one of the other characters had been trying to find him but basically he was dead and that was why they couldn't get to him two of the four of that had been stuck travelling with him died in different episodes and number three of the four was in a coma and if memory serves me the character died in a coma character number for infected themselves with a virus to spread it through the Invaders and wipe them out so that guy basically died because he infected himself with a virus.

@@agentcooper4627 Unless I missed something it was a television series Jesus must have ran I think six or seven seasons across three Networks I think it started out with ABC or NBC and then got bought by the American sci-fi Network and eventually ended up being taken over by the Canadian sci-fi network if memory serves me pretty sure it went through a total of three different Networks one of the longest running actors on the show was the guy who played in my secret identity back in the day here in Canada and he played the inventor who made the device. He's host on a daily talk show I think it's called The View or something like that. Still hard to wrap my brain around he's as old or older than me still looks almost like he did when he was a kid back in the '80s. Most people reading this have never seen my secret identity it was a pretty obscure television show in Canada in the 1980s. Another little gem that probably nobody remembers is Blossom. Again Canadian. Mayim bialy ended up becoming a physicist or some crap like that she got a bunch of awards here a while back for scientific achievements ironically she got back into acting and did a role on The Big Bang Theory and it just makes me feel old to wrap my brain around she's an award-winning scientist to do with physics or genetics or some crap like that and I remember her being a little girl on Blossom.

Honestly never even crossed my mind till you mentioned it I'd almost forgotten that film. It's a pretty good movie for the record

My dad gave me this book to read and I loved it. I've been hearing about a movie adaptation for years and it's finally here. I'm glad they turned it into a series so they can tell the full story without leaving out important scenes and plot points. Looks good but I'm always hesitant about adaptations because they're never as good as the source material. Finger crossed that it's half as good as the book which I read years ago when it first came out. I forgot much of the story so it'll be nice to have a semi fresh view going into the show . Slight spoiler below. That final scene when he finally gets back to his original world and walks out of the box to face off against dozens of himself and they all back off in order to allow the family to finally reunite, such an emotional climax to a smart and original story.
I'm gonna hit up the audio book.

Did anyone else think this was gonna be a continuation of the series of the same name back in 2015 by just the title? I thought it was gonna be a like a Firefly send off with serenity, not just a completely different movie with the same name.

Omg i loved this book. It was one of two i read when i started reading again after 30 years. I was literally just don't hollywood needed to go to books for originals ideas and brought up this book. I CANNOT WAIT

I think I’ve seen this concept several times. Twilight zone, a kids horror book I read when I was young that I can’t remember, another tv show from a while ago I don’t remember. Something happens to a guy and things in his life are changed people, don’t recognize him. But illl still watch this one

The book was incredible. I don’t like the choice of actors for this series as Daniela and Amanda are different in the book. But from what I’ve read, the author, Blake Crouch is behind the tv series so he must have approved all the changes. I’m glad the trailer doesn’t show how the story unfolds towards the end.
I watched a movie just like this a couple years ago, where someone goes through a computer to another reality to steal the life of himself because it was better than his own reality.

In almost all depictions of "parallel universes" the universes they go to for some reason always has the same set of characters just different lives. In the reality of parallel universes and the mere quantity and randomness of it.... the main character would wake up in a universe and he doesn't even know who's in it. maybe he wakes up in the middle of space and immediately dies. maybe he wakes up with creatures that arent even human. maybe he wakes up in a world where english didn't even exist.
Maybe he'll accidentally pop into the world where he lives on a desert planet and raises a boy named Luke Skywalker 😂
