In 2015/16 Atletico de Madrid manages the reach the final of the biggest European club tournament for the second time in 3 years. Amazing achievement by the players and Simeone. Really unlucky to not win in again. One day Atletico will be able to win the Champions League.

I travelled from Scotland to see Athletico Madrid eliminate PSV Eindhoven on penalties, it's the only time I have seen Atleti play live and the experience of visiting the Vicente Calderon was incredible. Hopefully they can get back to playing this quality of football again and maybe win the Champions League.

Simeone started coaching Atletico that was in mid table laliga, very limited transfer budget, an average team. Average players, he gave them confidence, and brought them to their best shape and took them to 2 UCL finals in 3 years. He was ranked best coach of 2016. Since then he won 2 Laligas, other European and domestic trophies and helped Atletico's revenue to quadriple in 10 years.

As a Chelsea fan, I really wanted this version of Saul at Chelsea. He’s a brilliant player who can score or assist in big games showing great technical ability. Was shocked Atletico loaned him out in the first place..
A great Atlético team. Shouldn’t have gone through in Munich, Bayern were better and Griezmann looks offside, but then again, in the final, Real’s goal is offside and Atlético missed a penalty, so yeah, it was fair on the whole, and certainly the last match shoulda been theirs. A pity they’ve stagnated in the last couple of years, because in the mid 2010s the Colchoneros were a hell of a side, a menace to any opponent.
Griezmann looks offside but was not, there are a photo in line that proves that, the pass to the final was legal.

We have a fantastic team now, if Simeone pull his team together and find a solid formation and squad lineup from now for against Manchester and the other upcoming Ucl teams, we'll be one of the hardest team to beat if we make it in the finals. Griezmann is already on top form in the Champions league since his recent return 🔥🔥 now is up to the coach and other players to step up cohesively.
You have a lot of good players, no doubt. However, this season has shown that this team just isn't at the right level to win the CL right now mate.

How Griezmann, Ramos and Oblak didn't win Balon d'Or baffles to date. Also, how Torres got sent off for that challenge against Busquets and Iniesta didn't even get a yellow card for deliberately handling the ball in his 18-yard box baffled the most. Meanwhile, Ramos was offside for the goal. Atletico Madrid as a club has always been a thorn in the flesh to Barcelona but a soft bread to Real Madrid.
He got sent off because he has no intention to hit near the ball and what about that penalty kick which was given as a free kick?

Me arrepiento de no haber seguido al Atlético en esa champions, como colchonero recién desde el 2018 quisiera volver atrás y ver esas dos finales, aunque sean perdidas, es lindo poder saber que mi equipo logró llegar lo más lejos posible.
Fue una etapa increíble, yo tuve la fortuna de seguirlo desde que tengo 8 años (tengo 21 ahora) viví la primera Europa League fue hermoso, y las dos finales de Champions, esas eliminatorias fueron de lo mejor he vivido en el mundo del fútbol pero ambas finales son los dos peores momentos, era tensión, miedo, y un desenlace muy trágico
