In the 2006/2007 CL campaign AC Milan reached the final and eventually won the Champions League. Revenge for losing the final in 2005, while leading 3-0 at half-time. This generation is considered as AC Milan's Golden Generation in the '00's. One of them being Kaka. Kaka was in his prime this campaign and became topscorer and won the prestigious Ballon d'Or for his efforts.

Nowadays this team seems to get called prime AC Milan with team full of legends, but during that year this Milan was always the underdogs and always referred to as team full of old players with the exception of KAKA. But they survived and won.
They won the Champions League that year through defensive tactics and the brilliance of Kaka
But they weren't great to watch at times
@@accountuser5588 for me personally, this is not their prime team. We have to agree that every single of them was beast. But most of them were aging. Only Kaka was in his prime. The 2003 team was better and the real monster was the team in 2005. Most of the players were in their prime including Sheva that won ballon d'or a year before and Kaka was emerging as a very promising young star. That team was much better than the 2007 one for me

You missed all the key moments before the goal 🥅 Kaká- the one and only reason for our 7th UCL. He carried our aging Milan side all by himself. 10 goals in a single campaign. He was involved in almost 100% of the goals in some way. Even though he won the Ballon’or, people dont talk much about him.. very very underrated. Classy, Elegant player. My GOAT 🐐 ❤️

yep very underrated , in 2005 he was direcetly involved for 3 goals winning the freekick fr the 1st goal , carrying the ball from the center to liverpool's half and then giving a pre assist through ball and the magical through ball assist for the 3rd goal , even in 2006 semis he created 2 amazing sitters , but the forwards threw it away , kaka always showed up in the big games , Milan really threw their chances of winning more ucls from 2003-2007 .
