We have two surprises for our outdoor cats: One is a new cat tree and the other one is HEATED FLOORS ! And this is our cats' reaction to both of them! They liked the first surprise but they LOVED the second one!

Beautiful. I have a barn dedicated for my outdoor cats. 27 in all. Last couple years I’ve had problems with eagles and coyotes so now the outdoor cats are confined to the barn for their safety but they have a big dog kennel attached to the back of the barn so they can safely come outside..have 7 seven in the house. Nearest town is 7 miles and nearest neighbor is two miles. Town people come out here and abandon their unwanted cats and they seem to find me. I give them the best I can.
@@shac9131 Thanks for that. Don’t think I’d go so far as to sit on the street holding a sign. There is a local country church that sends me bags of cat food now and then. I don’t really like changing their diet too much because it messes with their digestive system. They have dry food 24/7 and get a meal of wet food in the evening. Heated water in the winter. A good friend of mine runs a storage company similar to PODDs. Yesterday he brought me a pickup truck load of moving blanket of different sizes. All still new. Some are big enough to cover my king size bed. The barn cats have straw houses in the barn by stacking the bails in a way it gives them chambers big enough to hold a dozen cats. New hay every spring and fall. The moving blankets I cut to fit these chambers and several layers thick. Dirty ones can be removed and more put in. I’m retired and have several military related disabilities so a few checks from the government. I have a cabinet shop and welding shop and do a few odd jobs. Most anything I make on the side goes to the cats welfare.
@@MrCatfarmer That's fantastic! Maybe my suggestions can help someone else coming across it. Once upon a time a cat showed up at my place in smokey mountains during a snowfall cold winter with a litter of kittens on my deck. It was wild etc... I have a dog... So I immediately grabbed a box. Tapped towels on sides. Lots of towels I used!!! Then I grabbed my huge mohair rug worth 2 grand.... Very thick it was. Placed box on top of rug, had remainder of rug block the wind off. She took her kittens in there immediately. I kept checking on them, she developed trust with me... They kept safe. I left it that way, fort I built and added on... The moral of the story. They survived, kept warm, got fed... And the kittens pissed and crapped all over my rug like immediately ruining it. A professional cleaner couldn't spare it But at least I saved them. I found homes for the kittens
@@shac9131 Wonderful. It’s always a good feeling when you can help an animal survive. I grew up in New England hunting for a lot of our food. Came to Illinois after I came back from Vietnam and got rid of all my guns. Couldn’t kill anymore. But spent the rest of my life taking in animals and saving as many as I could. Can’t save the world but saving a few here and there is worth the time. I was never a cat person until a pair of North American wild cats moved into one of my barns. Then it became a challenge to make friends with them. Took three years and nursing a sick little back to goo health. Got a few scars from attacks but I heal. Each cat is 100% different than the next and they are great therapy to have around. Having them to care for kept me going through a stage four cancer battle. That was 8 years ago. So to me they are my guardians.
@@MrCatfarmer Oh wow that's amazing. You wanted to survive. I researched the hell out of cancer when my mom's doctors finally decided to check. She was 4th stage! They took advantage of her insurance and wealth etc. But every life saving tip I had... My mom chose the other side instead. She declined everything from me to help keep her alive. I had to respect her decision. You still have a journey incomplete! I feed a lot of ferals. They always get mixed brands and meat since a handful give to them. Do not ever trust organizations to fix ferals because near all never come back as promised, once healed from surgery. I don't even want to talk about it.. share stories I've witnessed. Unfortunately dogs and cats are government property. Few are aware of this. They don't have rights such as a squirrel or a crow to live freely in wild if not governed by a human. No matter, such for instance helping with dangerous snake and rodent control. Every cat litter I've fostered, I've allowed their mom to teach hunting while still nursing. It's important incase it's ditched or anything. And some cats enjoy hunting. I'm a natural vegan, raw one in fact .. but became poor money wise... Long story. So I eat cooked foods and meat. But I could never hunt unless I needed to for my pets. For instance. My dog never learned to hunt. Dogs need meat. Their teeth prove it. Cats will die very quickly if do not eat meat. You can't make a cat vegan.
@@shac9131 When my barn cats ran free I had them trained to be in the barn by dark so they could be locked in and safe through the night. The Eagles taking cats is what prompted me to put a large dog kennel on the back of the barn. Also have coyotes, cougars and wolves here now with the help of the DNR letting them go in the area. When the cats ran free they would bring home fresh kills all the time. Cleaned up a lot of rabbit remains out there. Every thanksgiving they get their own Turkey I get from a local Turkey farm. Dead already of corse. And cleaned. Lol. No they do need meat. They keep the barn cleaned of birds and mice. House is an 1883 three story Victorian that was ready for the bulldozer when I bought the farm but it’s totally rebuilt now and the house cats have plenty of room to run. Have one room in the house that’s set up as an isolation room for when I have sick or injured barn cats that need extra care. During warm weather I keep the barn sprayed down with a mix of Dawn dish soap and water a couple times a week. Dawn kills fleas, larvae and eggs on contact. Can’t keep the cats flea free but it keeps the fleas from killing the cats which happened one year. Won’t happen again if I can help it.
In Korea almost every house has heated floors so when my friends adopted street cats in the winter they all quickly made habits of melting on the floor lol

That one cat cleaned himself after seeing his new room is too funny. He’s like, “I better clean myself, I’m a fancy cat now”.
They have a "bath" when they feel at home in a new space, it's like christening the place. Cats are VERY territorial and don't like newness or change -- this means "I like it, let's bless this space properly!"
My mom is setting up something like this for her stray cats in the face of a Wyoming winter, bless her heart. She wanted to take her older cat to stay in Texas with her nephew but couldn't abandon the strays to the weather. Her heart is so soft, but they don't get along with her old boy, so she's going to make a 'kitty room' they can be in. I love my mom.
I swear I would pay rent to live in that room. Heated floors, big windows, petting cats galore - hell yeah!!!

Yeah but would the cats accept you as their roommate? They'd have to have some kind of cat based democracy vote. Or a Cat Republic? Like the Greek Bird Republic? Who is higher? The bird who can fly above the cat or the cat who can eat him when he lands? Sounds like a whole movie/universe like Cat Sparta vs Bird Athens. Of course Athens has a good Navy they have wind powers.

I love cats so much. Their little personalities, the way their tails curl when they see their human, the meows and noises, the roll-overs and scratch-stretches, the purring, the way they bump and rub against you. Have had cats my whole life and I'm gonna until I die.

I fed about these many cats at the back of my grandmother's house for about 7 years but I moved away to another country. Someone else still feeds them. They were like a mini lion pride.
And I'm poor so I can't afford all these, just the foods (sometimes wet), water, and pets. I love the person that can afford this and does it though
I just want to say to anyone who is reading this who just love Cat's or love animals all together...You guys are Angel's to them 😢❤ I always have love in my heart for people like this who care for animals and give them a warm place to escape to in this harsh world we live in. Rich or Poor even those who can bearly afford to feed themselves and they somehow find a way to feed a homeless Cat...whoever you are, you are loved by people like myself and your deeds are not nor will ever be forgotten ❤ Wishing those people Love, Health, Wealth, and Happiness now and until their next life ❤️

I absolutely love these videos! I love seeing how much he does for these cats, and how happy and safe and well fed and healthy he helps them be, and he doesn’t force them to accept any of this stuff. They just are living their best lives in Paradise. God bless him and his family for us. I say that he is already blessed by having all those little lives that appreciate what he’s done and what he’s done don’t have to worry about being out stray with dogs and cars, fed people, diseases, and starvation.

Since all the outdoor cats don't stay at his dad's house all the time, one cat is the neighbor's, some just come for the food, the Purring Cat only lives in the backyard part time, maybe he is concerned the outdoor cats may have diseases or fleas he doesn't want the indoor cats to catch.
NOTINMYARSE!! ! He just moved into that house. The indoor cats had not been previously exposed to the outdoor cats.
@@Appaddict01 Exactly, the outdoor cats have been living in his dad's back yard, and the channel owner used to live some distance away with his own indoor cats. He has recently moved close to his dad, hence the new arrangement of the basement being open to his dad's outdoor cats.....

Tihis family has spent much money and time to take care of ferel cats from their neighborhood. I do the same but not with heated floors. But I'm able to give Love , food. Vet care. And a safe place to lay their heads ( 19 of them ) And a dog too. . It takes a special kind of person to see the good in the homeless. And Do something about it. These people are very good people who really love and care for these cats🐾💙🐾I would give them a special place in Heaven if I could. But you know. You get what you give ! ♥️ Carma. We adopted two feral cats in Key Largo. When it got cold they would sleep in the cabin of our boat. We always left the door open and when cold left the heater on low. They really liked it when we bought fish home to clean. We always left out food and water and they grew up feral but healthy And happy.
Hopefully they're spayed/neutered!
@G Howard - Very nice. Feral cats ARE different from stray cats, and are by nature more difficult to care for. Thank you for doing what you have for them. They didn't ask to be homeless. I care for a few myself. I guess after 10 years together, spaying and neutering, I'd call them pets. ps. I'm also in FL, but on a visit to Lower Matacumbe Key, my giant parrot - a blue and gold macaw - got scared off into the mangroves as we evacuated for a major hurricane. I had to leave at some point to take shelter in my home in Ft. Lauderdale. After the storm, which she survived and called out to me for days, according to the neighbors, but she was gone once the authorities finally opened traffic into the keys again. I searched for years, heartbroken. So, do contact me if you should happen to see a blue and gold macaw hanging around the keys. I always hope to see her again. She'd be 30.

We had 4 dogs and had to clean and bathe them constantly, but cats don't smell like dogs do and don't need to go out, so easier to take care of, except bath time which we're allergic, so this is must. 🙀

Princess approaches and stops for quick groom as it’s unbecoming of a Princess to appear too excited. She must inspect to see if it meets with her royal approval. It does. And she claims the two best beds for her own. A Princess must have choices. The other peasant cats can now join her, at her discretion.

I used to live in a house with radiant heat. My Siamese loved sleeping under the bed, where the heat was trapped and they stayed extra warm. I still miss the sound of their little heads clunking against the bed frame when they woke up.
You’re an absolute blessing to these cats. This warmed my heart seeing all you did for the outside cats, and even more so when I saw you had your own and still did it. If everyone could do something, I feel there wouldn’t be so many without warmth, food and a home. Them all waiting at the door was adorable. And it didn’t surprise me the calico was the first on the cat tree they are super curious and into everything. Calicos are my favorite. When I was little I had one and I got into everything and she was always right there with me getting into whatever I was.
I love calicos, too. I’ve had three, one after another, all different but still the same. I think their coloring and markings are pieces of art, especially on the backs of their legs. I never tired of studying them!

I miss all my cats in West Virginia: I was taking in abandoned cats and they were having kittens. I tried to bring them with me when I left, but they got out of the truck and ran away. 💔

@@susanmercurio1060 the first thing I do when stray cats find me, that is when they are of the appropriate age, is to get them snipped ie spayed and or neutered. In the last few years I have lived in Maryland, Florida, and Mississippi. And I've always been able to find a place that provides inexpensive snipping, chipping and whatever else the state requires. One gorgeous Siamese was found and ended up having 2 kittens shortly afterwards so they were all snipped and chipped. The kittens were males so it was just a matter of time before Mom was pregnant again if we didn't do that.
Blessed your heart. I wish I could have the priviledge of taking care of a cat colony. I live in a small appartement with my cat Charlie that I found on a golf course at 4 weeks old. I am allergic but I dont care, He is 3 years old now and the joy he brings me is priceless. I should be installing a feed station in the parc in front of my place this week-end for two cats in the neighborhood . I hope it wont be vandalize like at the end of the winter this year.
