North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un watched the test launch of the country's latest hypersonic missile. The missile, called the Hwasongpho-16B, is a "newly-developed hypersonic gliding warhead" and uses solid fuel, according to North Korean state media. The test launch took place on the outskirts of the capital city of Pyongyang. The missile flew across the country to hit a target in the sea east of the Korean peninsula, according to the report. The North Korean leader called for the ongoing development of "ultra-modern weapons", the report further stated.

That pointy thing at the top is a hypersonic glide vehicle. Kim has had hypersonic missiles since 2021, and this is the latest development. THAT, is not something to laugh about. They have successfully met their goal, and when they decide to use it, there is no technology on this planet that can stop it (or even see it coming). There is nothing that can even detect a glide vehicle piercing through the air at Mach 20 (15,345 mph/ 24,694 kmh), much less any defense that can intercept it. It’s also maneuverable, making its flight path unpredictable (unlike an ICBM, which can also reach similar top speeds). Seoul is only 31.07 miles from the DMZ. So, despite the fact that NK would get a military response at some point, mass destruction in South Korea is completely inevitable. They should stop laughing. They also just got hacked (again) last week. Happens regularly, even to South Koreas top military companies. NK hacks and steals whatever they want from whoever they want, and most people don’t even realize that. How are you going to defeat someone who knows your strengths, weaknesses, and who is stealing the best technology you have for themselves? -Literally pulling the rug from under your feet? Who’s really the joke? And it doesn’t stop there. NK is fully backed by China, and they recently met to reaffirm this friendship. People have no idea of the power dynamics at play here. Underestimate no one.
