I'll save you guys this comment: OneUI has had all these features since the start of mankind.
Lol Android 14 looks so good but the look screen clock does not look the best I think it's not finished yet
@Laxman Dhotre it's called engagement lmao
This is the comment that I'm looking for. Win.
@@short_music_official. YOU CAN JUST CHANGE IT

The freedom android gives when it comes to installing apps from unknown sources is a blessing.
I switched from iPhone to Android, and this is such a big deal for me. Def sticking with Android
Yep the biggest thing for me as well
Agreed!
apple is supposedly asked by the law to allow 3rd party apps soon
@@kesho2106 That’s in the EU
Who would have thought that Samsung will become better at implementing new features in Android(One UI) than Google itself.
I think Android would be better overall if Google give it to Samsung.
@@ShellymanStudios idk about that. Samsung is really good at implementing features but on the design side, they’re really bad.
@@howtomen AND, they only extend on the features Google provides, most things Samsung has stems from stock android
I prefer Samsung's design over stock although stock is still overall better in animations. But it terms of features stock feels boring. Lock screen customization? Last year. Google has copied a lot of stuff from Samsung and in Android 15 they have to become even bolder.
not everyone likes google flat style theme. even though they have better animations, I prefer one ui overall design and feel
One can use F-droid, the other one can't.
Thats why i use android
git hub
@@blekbomor still no open source apps for iOS
@@blekbomor cope
why would you wanna use it?
Its like Sheldon Cooper said, if you don't apologize often, when you do it it seems like a big deal. The iPhone update will look more exciting because they've starved people of important features for a long time. Android reached feature maturity a long time ago, so it's all about stability now. I admit Android doesn't quite have the polish of Apple yet, but then again Apple didn't have the features. The huge features that came with iOS 16 caused that "polish" to diminish somewhat, whereas recent Android updates have been adding more polish. The destination is the same, they just took different routes.
💯
Well put!
What do you even mean by "polish"?
@Mike_B. Well, just the overall consistency in fluidity, responsiveness and animations when you interact with the UI.
Android 14 doesn't need exclusive features because we got everything around android 10 😂
Namedrop and airdrop new feature is actually lit. But it really shows how underrated samsung sharing files and contacts work. Like samsung literally make qr code option when you try to share contact, files, wifi and more. Not just that. It is also flexible, not just in samsung phone, but also in any brand of smartphone.
One of the problems with a comparison like this is that Google updates apps throughout the year with new features. Apple saves them for a new iOS release. Google (and OEMs like Samsung) will add features or new apps any time they want and typically backport them to older phones. So, Android is going to be boring each year. The phone app could be updated tomorrow with the same feature. The wallpaper feature is supposed to be a feature drop meaning we should have it even sooner or Android (version 13). And, I'm assuming you wouldn't go back and update the video.
+1
Very true actually.
Someone said it
THANK YOU! I can't believe these KZheadrs can't seem to figure it out. Apple can't even update one little thing in their one stock app without a full system update, while Google does this regularly through the Play Store and Play System updates.
Great point
Awesome review You are one of the few reviewers who present the Android enthusiast's perspective very tastefully so that everyone can understand it. Wish you all the best. Keep going.
Google and Apple worked together in the tracking notification feature. It was a collaborative effort
True. Apple should've worked with Google on RCS messaging though lol.
@@howtomen Why should apple work together to promote google’s rcs? It’s going through google’s servers.
@@Praveen-or5ce there's a reason it called encrypted n to n
@@rkustanto Hey, IT guy here. The problem is not just with encryption, but it also forces people who use RCS to depend on Google. Now, most android users are alright with that, but other people and companies are not. For instance, if Googles servers get shut down, the whole infrastructure will collapse
@@Praveen-or5ce not to promote. But to support. For the better of mankind. It’s not a problem in other countries but in the states, us android users are still stuck with old SMS because of iMessage. If apple supports RCS then we atleast will finally get the option to send high quality videos and see the live typing indicator. And that won’t affect iMessage too much cause they’ll still have a few more exclusive features like text effects, mini-games, check-in, etc.
I was waiting for this, thanks 👍
I never realize I follow you since 2013, this year I'm still following you. Love your content!
Gboard has inline predictions but it’s called Smart Compose. You have to enable it in the gboard settings.
haha the reviewer has no knowledge on android before make this video.... sigh
Great content as always! I do want to note that Google Messages has had transcribed voice messages for quite a while now, so that's definitely a feature that Apple copied. A BIG advantage Nearby Share has over Air Drop is that it's now available on Windows making it easier to share files and links across a lot more devices.
I use both iPhone and Android. Aside from more people having iPhones, Nearby Share and AirDrop damn near equally fast. A 150mb file took about 8 seconds between my iPhones and about 10 seconds between my Androids. Seems pretty negligible to me. Also Nearby Share doesn't limit your "everyone" setting like AirDrop does now.
Samsung has quick share, way cooler than nearby share
@@pierre68299 how so? Quick Share only works on Samsung devices whereas Nearby Share works on EVERY current or recent gen Android device PLUS Windows computers.
it's not really an advantage, just feature parity, Macs and iphones have had airdorp since 2011 i believe. Also good luck using nearby share with someone using windows, most people will have no idea how to use it, since its not turned on by default
@@liamsz thank you for the well wishes. I'll definitely try it with as many friends as possible.
The in-call photo background was on stock Android a few years ago (in the stock phone app by Google). Not with that many options and backing up the photos didn't work very well, it was actually just the profile picture you assigned to that contact and when restored automatically all these images were pretty pixelated.
Google phone app has a feature to search for numbers that is not in the phonebook, by detection of location and automatically shows the number for the person or business you are searching
@@pierre68299I agree very much. Google (Samsung) may have more features than Apple, but the functions quality is much worse than Apple.
iOS had it too for quite some time, but it would only appear sometimes. Sometimes it would appear full screen, and sometimes it would put the picture in a small circle.
Fantastic comparison!
Most of the new functions of iMessage are only useful for those who live in the US, the rest of the world uses similar functions with WhatsApp or Google maps (in the case of real-time location)
That's the problem. iMessage is the defacto in the US. However, I don't care.
thank you so much for this video, and for entertaining me with knowledge, i genuinely appreciate it, as well as everyone here. I just want to say thank you for spending your time, energy, and money into creating this video for our entertaining purposes.
I bet he spent not enough time dig into every fact to make the video
Magic Editor is not an A14 feature though, it'll come to all newer Pixels regardless of Android version.
With the google assistant im glad you have to say hey, because if not it would be pretty consistently going off in a lot of different conversations.
Google message also has transcribe feature, where voice msg get transcript.
These iMessages features are only relevant in the US. Rest of the world just uses 3rd party messaging services.
fully agree!
Yeah I agree toi
All my family and most of my friends use iMessage. It’s much better than 3rd party messaging.
Appreciate the effort...
Really loved the video !!
Great video Please continue to share information and update
The Android Beam functionality is integrated into Nearby Share. If both phones have NFC, it will trigger a transfer by just putting the phones near each other.
seem like the reviewer dont have much knowledge on android.
Yes, and you can send contact cards this way but hey, it's an ios feature.
I believe that most Android users aren't aware of this aspect. Having switched from Samsung to iPhone four years ago, I discovered that Apple excels in communicating its features much more effectively than Google or Samsung. Furthermore, the Apple community surpasses that of Android; each Apple device user experiences a uniform feature set, while Android users often need to locate someone with the same brand of Android phone and similar knowledge to fully comprehend specific features
@jiremyjanga9995 So you switched before the release of Android's Nearby Share, and Samsungs Quick Share (which let's me send large files to another samsung device anywhere in the world) and you say it excels? Maybe 4 years ago, but not In 2023. Apple does not own the technology to allow users to send files, only the application that sends it which Samsung devices have both Quick share and Nearby Share built in to the OS.
@@mikey187lfc Understood. As an Android Samsung user, I was passionate about exploring new features and staying updated, but I often felt disconnected from other users as they weren't aware of the things I knew, leading to a sense of isolation. The issue I found with Android is its inability to offer a cohesive experience compared to Apple's devices. If everyone used the same brand, like Samsung or Google Pixel, the experience might be more cohesive, but that wasn't my reality. Hence, I gradually shifted towards Apple as I sought a more unified experience within my own personal context
Amazing content as always! OneUI has given android users the most out of the AOSP, giving an iOS like experience to the android users.
I think android had one similar to apple's standby feature, that "daydream" or screensaver that activates if your screen turns off when you're charging. I just don't know if they're removed because i can't find it on my phone :)
Yup, such a classic 😢
@@howtomen isn't that available on the clock app?
I checked in one ui and its there
on Pixel devices, it's under Settings > Display > Screen saver. It even has 3rd party app support
@@howtomen I wish Google would stick to their own features. Lock screen widgets, customizations, daydream VR, daydream screen saver, and Android Beam were all great but they scraped them instead of innovating on them. All ahead of their time and then removed almost as if to copy Apple. Now, Apple copies those ideas and Google copies Apple to bring them back (example - lock screen)
One UI is step ahead
Or 20 steps ahead
Really nice video.
could you please do a widget comparison between Android and iOS?
I really like android and plan on buying a pixel phone but there are some things i wish google could fix: 1. The Google Account Settings are way to inconsistent and sometimes even split into many menus or settings are repeated 2. There should be a better connectivity between devices like the contact share from apple or airdrop wich now will also work from far distances when you distance yourself from the receiver 3. There is no good overview of the apps. With that i mean for example a menu where every installed app from google is listed and you can access the settings menu you would have in the app. 4. In terms of backups or appdata saving apple is far ahead and i think this is a point worth fixing 5. Better cloud managementoptions whick would be necessary if the backup system would get an upgrade So for me the most important aspect is the consistency of the settings and the access to the settings. I also really dont like unclear and itself repeating partition. I hope i conveyed my information well and so that everyone knows what i talked about...
When Gboard predicts your sentence and you can swipe right on the space bar to auto type in the prediction, that is available in other apps too, not just Gmail and Google Messages. It works in Discord and WhatsApp too.
Press TAB on your keyboard when using a laptop or desktop. I know that works in Gmail, but I'm not sure if that works in other apps on the web using a physical keyboard.
3:33 Smart compose has been available throughout the device in all apps for a while now. Just turn on Smart compose in Gboard settings
Its not there. I use Gboard on my samsung.
@@stephenfrank9735 It is inside the text correction section in the Gboard settings. Let me know if you don't find it because I am curious if it is a Pixel custom ROM thing
Actually smart compose is there on my device but it don't predict any sentences 😢 only word's
That IOS 17 looks amazing. That alarm clock feature is clean. I'm an Android guy but I feel like they focus on making life easier with their devices.
You clearly not an Android guy making that crazy statement.
THANK U BOSS!
Amazing content as always.
Thanks man!
There is something similar to iOS's Standby Mode is Android. It's called Screensaver! (Previously called Daydream in Jelly Bean era). I am sure 3rd Party developers will create screensavers which mimics the Apple versions. Also Google created many new screensavers for Pixel Tab which all look similar to Standby Mode ones. I am hopeful they will release them on the phone also.
I've been using android for years and I totally agree with what you said. In my opinion, apple used to have a good design until the iPhone X and 11, but it feels like they are a copy of Android, especially with more and more in recent years.
I love IOS and pixel software a lot I carry both phones with me. there is something about IOS that I love and the 14 pro max is just a beautiful phone and each OS upgrade it just keeps getting better and yes id like to see a bigger redesign for IOS but I also enjoy the smaller changes in each update instead of all at once. The pixel software overall looks good and is very functional with being able to add fun colors to make the experience nicer without making it feel childish. I do like the way pixel software looks and functions more than Samsung when in the wallpaper picker and clock customization it looks cleaner and more appealing then anything Samsung has ever done.
on andriod phones im pretty sure you can turn your only on display to display horizontally which is kinda similar to standby
Tried out cinematic wallpapers on my Pixel 6a and it's really mind-blowing!
The emoji and cinematic wallpaper is released with the june pixel feature drop and yeah pixels are better because they add new features every 3 months that's what makes a phone to not get old very soon.
Where can I find the wallpaper that’s on the iPhone. Also can you let me know which Android phone are you using the video.
i already have the function to set wallpaper's with emojis stickers etc on android 13 why?
It's kind of funny how some features, that look great on iOS17, have existed on Android before. But Google just never took the time to flesh them out and make them better. With Android Beam they could've implemented something like Namedrop ages ago. They just weren't willing to actually invest in that endeavour. The new standby feature on iOS17? For whatever reason Google felt the need to lock down it's own similar feature to having to use an expensive Pixel Stand. With Google Photos and location tracking on Maps, Google could've provided a journaling feature ages ago. Sony had one that worked great, maybe Samsung too.
Honestly love the glasses
I love it the video bro 💯👍
Thanks 💯
Android as always asked for access and what programs you wanted to access it, and you can always changed the permissions as well
I just got the S23 and it looks and feels like an Iphone in your hand. I am used to android so this is the perfect upgrade for me.
What if, what I've typed is the last char of the word and I want to use the space bar but the suggested text is wrong?
I forgot all about android beam. I loved that feature. Hopefully they bring it back
3:00 the native nfs sharing works well and is native
Hey man, may i get the wallpaper that you had on your iphone in this video?
I really don't understand why KZheadrs don't talk about how bad the iPhones calculator is.
Please, how can we customize the clock widget on the lock screen with the background as done with iOS ?
That kerpow! at the end of the video 😂😂
hello, sorry for bothering you, there were 2 accordion apps on the play store and when I search on the play store I can't find them anymore, but when I search on google it says your device is not compatible with this version, please what can I do
Thank you a lot for this channel! First comment, btw.... 3:24 SwiftKey is better in my opinion.
maybe, but he comparing Apple and Google, and SwiftKey is by Microsoft
Do dusk sunglasses come with blueray protection?
You can tap other phones to share anything using nearby share as well. You just neef nfc and nearby share is turned on
Appreciate your Videos Bro 🔥❤️🔥
We also need the best SMS apps on Android, please. Thank you !
Is there going to be an apple update to remove the big black bubble at the top or at least shrink it down?
Are you serious? That's the dynamic island.
If you miss Android Beam, when you use nearby share, simply tap the two devices together to immediately force the nearby share connection!
I doubt this works... It's not a feature with Nearby Share... Beam, yes...
I think most android phones still have NFC so you can pick contacts off like what apple is pushing
It is not at all seamless as Apple's
or just use the QR code feature of samsung lol
Google photos need those futures like pan motion form the google pixel. And cinematic mode. And av1
Wonder what Android 14 GrapheneOS edition will look like. 16:32. Its called storage scopes. GrapheneOS has it already. It wasn't copied from iOS but rather pushed upstream from GrapheneOS like a lot of android security features.
Apples update may seem bigger but that’s just because it was behind in the first place in terms of its features.
Apple prefers not to be the first but rather the best when it comes to features. They always introduce features a few years behind the competition but when they do release it, those features often work and look a lot better than on Android.
@@MissMartianDCAU true, but then if you let the rest go first and sit back and watch what works and what doesn’t, you really should be able to release your version afterwards and make it better than the ones you’ve taken inspiration from. So I kind of see it both ways.
Well no not really, Android doesn't have half of iOS 17's new features.

Hi what is this android phone in this video?
Even Samsung has S-Beam featured around 7-8 years ago, nice work Apple on copying feature and tagging as Apple Original
Voice note transcription was a Google messages feature this year even before apple announced it. Yup just checked, I don't know why you made a big deal out of that feature for Apple or failed to point out that it is already a feature on Google messages, I have it running on my phone(P7). It should go under the list of things apple copied from Google.
I use both os. Tensor voice typing n editing is on another level.
Yah, but I am saying exact same feature was already available on android for atleast 2 months now.
All of these tech companies copy each other. They're also all hypocrites.
Airdrop is better than nearby share? In what way. Speeds are pretty equal.
Animation in Ios is really smooth as always...
12:20 eventhough its native, its not supported on many phones that runs Android 13

There's a similar feature to standby mode on android called "ambient mode" on some specific devices. Mostly Lenovo tablets though
It only comes with Android One devices... Motorolas or Nokias and Pixel or any device running on Stock Android. Other custom UIs can't support Ambient Mode for some reason.
LMFAO
I love both ive been an apple user for years and i switched to pixel early this year and honestly theres no way im going back to apple again at leat for phones, i still use the ipad to have some apple in my life. Im enjoying the best of both worlds.

All of the communication features on iOS 17 are actually really cool and I lament the fact that even if Google or Samsung implements these, it won't be as practical for me because 90% of everyone I know uses iPhone.
