  • A great film. I love to watch it and the animal looked so real thanks to Harry.

  • I can imagine the director shouting to all the extras with a megaphone….. “Right, jump up and point that way! Now, all run that way and look scared! Go!!” 😂😂

  • As a person who’s into cephalopods and are fascinated by their biology, I can only imagine what this movie would look like if it was made today. Would they make its skin constantly changing texture like a real octopus, or what? 😅

    • Made and released in 1955. There was a time when the citizens in San Francisco had just one thing to worry about: a gigantic octopus. Times have changed much since then.

  • Oh, that’s the colorized version I’ve heard about. The same thing goes for 20 Million Miles To Earth. 2:54 This looks familiar. Where have I seen this Running & Screaming scene before? Oh yes, I remember. This is from The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms in 1953. 2 years before It Came From Beneath The Sea came out. I wish The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms in 1953 was colorized. Speaking of The Beast, I also heard that the tentacles of this octopus were used as Dinosaur Tails for some other Film. No doubt that 1956 Film by Warner Bros. who released The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms.
