I lived in an apartment with a balcony that had the same iron railing as the ones she has in her backyard. I came up with a pretty good idea for privacy for my railings. I bought landscape fabric that comes on a roll and wove the fabric in and out thru the railings. It took me just minutes to do. It not only worked but looked really nice and not cheap looking at all.
I did almost the same thing but I got my privacy fence screen from Amazon so it came with grommets to hang it, and even cable ties.
What is landscape fabric?

When i was married i had 1/2 acre with inground pool--u spend more time taking care of plants and grass and living stuff than actually enjoying the outdoor space. i am totally behind. faux anything 💯. Your outdoor area should be enjoyed not another thing you have to devote all your down time to maintaining. Absolutely love this design aesthetic!!!💗

You did a beautiful job! It gives me an idea… I cut extra slats off of my husbands blinds to fit his office window and was not wanting to throw away the unnecessary slats. I will make a long planter with open bottom 😄
This is one of the best DIY hacks I have seen in a long time your backyard is gorgeous! Especially with the material you use it looks like you spend hundreds and hundreds of money yet you went old school I remember being in the 70s and everybody using cinder blocks for Furnitures and making like counters and tables and even barbecues out of them, not to mention the shelves they would stack cinder blocks and put wood or something in between the holes to make a shelf. I love your backyard you did a phenomenal job to make your backyard look so Serene and beautiful I love it so much!
