I remember back in the years 2000-2001 and 2007-2008 when I was collecting and playing with Pokemon cards value was never on my mind. I know things have changed and everything has blown up in price, but damn do I miss the days of trading with friends just wanting my favorite Pokemon and not the most expensive one. It just kind of makes me a bit sad that all Pokemon card content is about how much money will we lose opening up this certain product. I like opening Pokemon cards occasionally today for the fun of it, not for just the Charizard or Rayquza to grade and then resell.
Exactly it's about the fun and thrill not about the value and price it's still fun but not too much

Shining Fates ETBs were restocked recently and have the lowest cost so I'd imagine cost to worth is higher there. From what ETBs I've opened, Shining Fates also had the most pulls.

From my perspective, the one that would win would be the shining fates ETB. There’s so many shinys that you can pull in which can be valuable especially the Charizard shiny vmax.

Definitely the Hidden Fates. It has so many pulls that are worth a decent price. Better than Shining Fates. Then the Champions Path requires a Charizard Update: Just as I thought. In the first pack! I can't wait to start opening Hidden Fates. I started an Elite Trainer Box collection recently and have the newer sets.

I’ve recently gotten back into collecting and I’ve found the joy in opening packs with a group of friends. Which is interesting when you think about right? Hypothetically you're getting some neat things w/ the bulk storage and extras but I never pull pull anything good... I've opened 6 celebrations ETB's and now 4 shining fates ETB's and I'm throwing in the towel. Booster boxes, singles, or no ty for new sets.

I've had better luck with ETB's than Booster Boxes for insane pulls. Managed to pull Alt Art Umbreon VMAX and Alt Art Gengar VMAX from ETB's 🤷♂️
I get amazing luck with ETB's, i get horrible luck with packs and booster boxes, but one of my best pulls came from a pokeball tin, it was a PSA 10 gold dragonite
