A bonus fact for Rika, in the Japanese version of the games, Rika speaks with a Kansai dialect and refers to herself in third-person. And the in-universe counterpart of the Kansai region of Japan is the Johto region, which MAY imply that Rika WAS from Johto. This is SOMEWHAT supported in Pokemon Masters EX when Rika meets Whitney in the recent event for her, though it's not explicitly said. There Rika could tell that Whitney was from Johto due to her sensing a "Johto vibe" from Whitney. Although the dialogue MAY differ in the Japanese version.

Since you missed out Kieran, ill point out a fact. When you fight him as Champion of the BB league, his theme is once again remixed to be more agressive to show his determination to beat you. However after the events of the Indigo Disk, his future rematches will revert back to final theme from the teal Mask, showing that he’s toned down his over-competitive attitude but he still retains all the new things leaned from the time between the teal mask and indigo disk
We’ve come so far from gen 1’s rule of “trainers typically get their first Pokémon at age 10” to a nine year old being on the Elite Four
The 10 year-old thing is anime only. Red and Blue are 11 years old according to the manual in the first games and even if the player was meant to be controlling a 10 year old avatar, the fact that there's the youngster trainer class which is different from your own trainer class and clearly younger than something like the junior trainers or campers, definitely implies that anyone can get a Pokémon at practically any age.

1. Most underage NPCs that you battle don't own their pokemon. Poppy likely is the same as well. Her team is probably under the ownership of Geeta's. 2. being as young as she is, and with the topic of school life as the focus for scarlet and violet, Poppy is likely a gifted child. she can battle as well as an elite trainer when given the right pokemon. so geeta offered her a spot on the elite 4.

Another fact about Agatha is that she was the only E4 member in the original Red and Blue that actually had a monotype team. And it wasn't even her stated type specialty, her entire team was poison type. Loreli had a Slowbro that wasn't ice type Bruno had his Onix that wasn't fighting type And Lance had a Dragonair that wasn't flying type

"Bird Keeper Lance" is one of my favorite jokes to come out of Gen 1.
Fun fact: The reason why Caitlin doesn't battle the player directly and is forced to make her buttler have the battle instead is because her family was afraid of her psychic powers. She was too powerful. At the time, she didn't have much control over her psychic powers and they feared that she could accidentally hurt someone if she ended up getting angry over losing a pokemon battle. That's why they made her buttler have the pokemon battles in her name instead. But she learned to control her emotions and thus, she now has control over her psychic powers as well. Which is why she was able to have battles on her own and eventually became an elite four member in Unova. Also, if you pay attention to Kahili's design, you'll notice that her hairstyle is meant to make her look as if she had wings. Which is a pretty clever way to show the fact that she's a flying type specialist. And Leon is the trainer with the biggest amount of sponsors in Galar. He gets his sponsors from: Galar Taxi, Cozy Fried Kitchen, Timburr Builders, Gramophone Records, Grow Sures, Pelipper Couriers (this one is a reference to mystery dungeon), No. 1 Pharmacy, Dream Dairy, Bookmark, Yoshida's Coffee (the logo on this one is based on the pokemon designer Hironobu Yoshida by the way) and, as the strongest champion, Leon also gets sponsored by Game Freak.
Other fun facts about these characters: *Lorelei is from the Sevii Islands' Four Island, and the player can even enter her house, which is full of Pokémon plushies that she collects. She also first met her Lapras in the island's Icefall Cave when she was a child. She also speaks with a stereotypical and prominent German accent in the French localizations of the Gen 1 and 3 games. *Bruno is heavily implied to be the trainer with the Nidorino and Onix in the first scene in the anime, as the shadowy figure who uses them looks almost exactly like him. *Agatha's name including chrysanthemum may be a reference to her rivalry with Oak, as he's also named after a plant. Pokémon Masters EX even highlights how they met and they drifted apart. Agatha also appeared in the I Choose You! as Ash's teacher in the nightmare he had about a world without Pokémon. She also appears in the Pokémon Pocket Monsters manga, being notably younger than every other appearance, and can transform into a Golbat. *Despite most people knowing about Lance's multiple under-leveled Dragonites while battling him, most don't acknowledge his Lvl. 40 Dragonite he uses while fighting alongside the player in the Team Rocket HQ. *Blue is technically now a Champion again having gained the title of Neo Champion in Masters EX. Other trainers who have the title include: Calem, Serena, Hop, Marnie, Bede, Red, Leaf, Nate, Rosa and Silver. *Though Will is male, there is data in Pokémon Crystal contains gender data for every Trainer class in the game (except Eusine) to select which dialogue pool to sample from when randomly choosing the opponent's dialogue. Interestingly, Will is one of two male characters to be identified as female in this array. The other is Bugsy. Also that manga panel is of him, Koga, and Bruno having fallen out of a building due to a terrible joke told by Karen. *Koga's main strategy as a Elite Four member is to to primarily use status moves, with his HGSS team even having his Forretress know Toxic Spikes. *There has been no given reason as to why Karen uses a Vileplume, other the presumed theory that Karen simply uses it as she likes it, following the mantra she gives. *All of Sidney's Pokémon in the first battle give out at least one Attack EV, with his Cacturne is the only Pokémon he uses that does not give out at least two Attack EVs. In addition, all of them have their base Attack as their highest stat, with the exclusion of Cacturne. *Along with not using a Gengar, Phoebe is also the only Hoenn Elite Four member to not use a Water-type in Emerald or ORAS. *She may never be seen outside of Ever Grande City, but one of the NPCs in the Mauville Food Court mentions seeing Glacia eating ramen there, saying she was slurping down her noodles at such an incredible pace that she was dripping with sweat. *Drake is an old shipmate and friend of Mr. Briney, and in the Adventures manga was revealed to have sailed with him and Mr. Stone in the past. Make of that what you will. *Acerola's anime in the anime is not only shiny, but confirmed to be deceased. It is a ghost of a Ghost-type. *Kahili is the daughter of the Hano Grand Resort's owner. Her Toucannon is also the only Pokmon to use Tailwind in the anime. *Molyane is the only Storage System developer to appear in the anime besides Bill. *Leon is also one of two characters to have a single digit uniform number, the other being Mustard. Mustard is another champion of Galar, having achieved the title 50 years prior to the game's events and held onto the title for 18 years. 7:37. Cool theory about Alder. It is speculated, thanks to Legends Arceus, that he was actually the original Hero from the myths of Hisui that got transported in Unova. If that was the case it would explain why: He tends to get along with Cynthia, since she reminds him of Cogita, the woman who loved the Hero. He doesn’t know how to use the PC because he was used to put his Pokémon’s in the Pastures, as well as carrying them around Why in Pokemon Masters Ex, the Japanese VA talks with an obsolete Japanese. And if you take a look at when it was used, you will see that it would be around the same time that Legends takes place Cool thing about Rika too: in Japanese she uses a specific slang to talk and such slang never got translated in the other games, except in Italian. If you want to know how said slang sound like in Italian, go take a look at basically any of The Pruld’s work, because it’s fun as hell, and it reflects perfectly her sassy nature
We don't know who Cogita was talking about when she wrote about that. Wasn't it implied that the hero would have been much earlier than her too? She seems to come from the waning days of the Celestica given that she calls herself their descendant rather than one of them directly.

We don’t know for how long, but we know that she is close to centuries old, since she was chosen to be the bearer of the knowledge of the ancient people from Sinnoh, to then spread said knowledge to someone deemed worthy. That’s why her plot line from Legends is that she got manipulated by Volo to tell all of the secrets, only to stop at the right timing after the protagonist comes to save Hisui

the bb league elite four has to be the hardest elite four ever.
The only elite four in the main games that use the doubles format. which is already hard by itself compared to singles. Now, Technically the Star tournament is a predesessor to that, but since galar dosent have an elite 4 that you can battle, that kindof dosent count.
I was wondering where Peony and Mustard were and was gonna give a random fact for both but was lazy so. Mustard plays video games and was addicted to them after retiring from champion. Peony and Oliana have a funny dialogue in the DLC. Yeah, that's it.
Oh yeah, Oleana can't find Rose even though she should KNOW where he is (prison) and for some reason she's trying to find him at a cemetery and this is never explained.
I can give you one for Peony: Dialogue in the Mochi Mayhem epilogue of Scarlet and Violet implies that Penny is his daughter. In the DLC, Penny says that her dad would often take her on "Adven-tours."

A bonus fact for Acerola, while she does have a Shiny Mimikyu in the anime, however her Mimikyu is actually "dead" so it's a ghost OF a Ghost type Pokemon. This is shown in the anime when it tries to attack the Greedy Rapooh (a nickname for a totem-sized Gengar that broke from a shrine) with Shadow Claw to save Acerola, only for it to phase right through it.
...a ghost of a ghost type? Has that ever happened before? I can't recall a time of that ever happening. The closest I can think of is the ghost of the cubone's mother, but...at that point it's just a ghost, not a pokemon. Also....does that make actual ghost types alive _again?_ Or are there two stages of death?

@@theamazingspooderman2697 If you think about it, Ghost Pokemon aren’t TRULY ghosts as they can still be hatched from eggs just like every other Pokemon. Seems to me they're just animals with some ghost like properties. And we see an actual Ghost or what many would call the soul of a Pokemon, the spirit of the Cubone’s mother.
@theonlineninja7596 you hit the nail on the head, they aren't actually dead, just creatures with the same properties as Ghost (Ghost Freak from Ben 10 and Danny Phantom being good comparisons). The Marowak Ghost from Gen 1 is a true Pokemon that died and became a ghost

Correction for Siebold, Siebold appeared in the Mega evolution special episodes, and he had a Mega Blastoise. in the same episodes, Malva has Mega Houndoom. Wikstrom has Mega Scizor in the Diancie Movie intro. And we see in the ranked battle for Drasna, She does have Mega Altaria.

Wow, my knowledge of flowers actually comes in useful for once. Chrysanthemums are considered a “unalivement flower” and are frequently seen at funerals or given as bereavement gifts. It makes perfect sense that a Ghost-Type trainer would have these flowers mentioned in their name.
It's also the symbol of the Japanese Monarchy. It's called the chrysanthemum throne.

Some other funky facts from Pokemon Masters for these guys: Lance outright stated that not all dragon pokemon have to be a dragon type lmao Steven has confirmed twice in ORAS's Delta Episode and in the event where he got his shiny Rayquaza that he met a trainer with Mega Charizard X (Alain) while battling Mega Rayquaza in the past Wallace despite being a gym leader in ORAS, he actually acted as the "champion" in Hoenn Champion Stadium with his own Champion theme. Flint was the only Elite 4 for Sinnoh in Master for more than 3 year before all 3 other dropped at the same time. Cynthia's Giratina debuted one month before PLA came out, so she was a blantant foreshadowing together with her Decisive battle theme for Volo Malva is the only Elite 4 who actually killed people lmao Acerola does have a Mimikyu in Pokemon Masters, if you wanna be slightly technical lol Rika is hinted to be from Johto, since she can immediately recognise Whitney's accent based on the Japanese dialogue due to RIka does use Kansai-ben in SV and Masters
If you didnt cheese your way in the Indigo disk DLC with a full level 100 team, The Blue Berry Academy Elite Four are actually the strongest elite four of any main series games thus far. At least in my opinion.
Other facts: Drasna is the only Kalos Elite Four member to not have debut in the XY anime through any means (Malva was Mega Evolution Specials and the main series, Wikstrom was the Diancie Movie and Siebold appeared in the first Mega Evolution special where he used Mega Blastoise to defeat Alain's Mega Charizard X). Bertha is the only Sinnoh Elite Four member who never fought Cynthia on screen in the DP anime Caitlin is the only Unova Elite Four member to appear in the anime (and never met Ash. Would have been cool if she did.) Alder is the only Champion to have not lost onscreen in the anime Cynthia had the longest winning streak of 704 episodes in the anime (Top Down Training (her debut episode) to Whittle While you Work (loses the Masters Eight match to Ash)). Leon uses all three Galar starters in his match against Ash since Ash never obtained one in the anime.

@@AznYunHou 10 is well established to be the legal age to "Own" a pokemon. so many of the underage trainers you battle, like poke kids, school kids and twins, don't own their pokemon, and are likely owned by their parents or older sibling. Poppy is likely the same case. Her pokemon are LIKELY Geeta's. and the reason why she's an elite four? is that she is a gifted child. Her elite four training is sponsored by Geeta.
