    • Exactly. This is like the classic joke of how much pay it would take to fight Mike Tyson and get rapidly annihilated. Jake Paul is literally the Punch-line in this joke. As an older guy, I am rooting for Tyson much as I rooted for Tom Brady to win the Superbowl in his 40s at Tampa or George Forman to win the heavyweight championship at 48 or when Schwarzenegger, after years of retirement, came back to win the Mr. Olympia - it is good to see that an older guy who is willing to train at a younger man's pace can do it and win.

    • Tysons' benefit of age here is that he did most of the brain scrambling during his career, and he didn't take that many hits over his career. Jake's form is terrible and there's no reason Tyson shouldn't destroy him, and if Jake wins it will put a sour taste in everyones mouth and will solidify him as the villain in this weird pro wresting ppv exhibition boxing thing that Jake's got going. He has never foughta fighter in his own weight class who was also a boxer or in his own age range. His whole existence as a boxer is a joke and insulting to people who came up the hard way and became actual champions. God I hope tyson just flattens him and ends it for good.

People treat him like he's a fucking geriatric and frail individual. These guys like Chael Sonhen , Bisping are always talking shit that Tyson this and that could lose blah blah. These guys are just jealous that Mike still has the skills, health and speed he's always had and that they couldn't do what Mike does being even younger than Mike. Jealousy and ego is a big issue in the fight sport I say let the fight do the talking and stop speculating shit no one knows as of yet!

    @ozymandias7940@ozymandias7940Ай бұрын
  • Tyson is 20lbs bigger and the hardest puncher in at least the last 50 years, if not for all times and power is the last skill a fighter loses. Tyson is also had one of the best defences of almost any heavyweight because he was shorter than all of his opponents and had to just out of necessity. Jake Paul is a "KZhead" fighter and a neophyte compared to Tyson. This has all the makings of a disaster not for Tyson but for Jake Paul. So many people are saying the age gap will be the difference but Tyson has the size, power, skill level and experience on his side, which will more than make up for the age gap.

He's done good for the sport but that isn't going to make him a fighter to be taken seriously or world champion if he only fights old men or people from other sports. And there were rules like, don’t go for a KO, etc. This is a sanctioned event with the outcome getting logged in the historical, professional record of Tyson AND Paul! They can go for a KO on each other! By all practical definition, it’s a genuine fight! And the last sanctioned professional fight with Tyson, was in 2005! Almost two decades ago! That’s not going to change the fact that Mike Tyson is going to win! 😁

  • My only big problem is that Mike is getting older. There's never been a better time to pass the title as it is right now. Mike has been trying to settle into his new life with his business and with his peace. So, how easy would it be for Mike to "lose" to Jake Paul, and move all that attention to him? Mike could easily drop out of the conversation, back off into the sunset, and enjoy his legacy while not looking like he gave up his old legacy... regardless of how hard he tried. Mike is my favorite fighter of all time, and to see him lose to a dude like Jake Paul of all people, would be incredibly hurtful. However, looking at where Mike has tried to get to, and how badly he's been trying to leave his history behind, I can't blame him for purposely leaving it in Jake Paul's hands whether he wants to or not. It's the fastest, and most believable, way out of the limelight so Mike can ACTUALLY focus on life outside of fighting.

  • It all turns on Tyson and how hard he trains. When he was essentially unbeatable, he was training 7 days a week from morning to evening - something on the order of 60+ hours a week. That gave him the stamina to get in with quickness, then hit several times from different angles rapidly (flurries of punches with bad intentions), pull back, then repeat over and over. When Robyn Givens and Don King focused on partying, not training, he rapidly switched from flurries of punches to single punches. That was the difference from nearly unbeatable to very good but beatable. It is harder to get into great shape as an older guy but it is doable - just a matter of hard training and taking longer to get to a given level of training. My impression is that Tyson sees this as his last hurrah, his last chance to once more experience what it was like being Mike Tyson in his prime - so my bet is that he will take it seriously. If he does, Jake Paul's chance of making it to the fourth round is zero. .

    @britcat7780@britcat77808 күн бұрын
  • MT's still a force to be reckoned with. He's got tenacity, power, experience, and mental toughness to his advantage. If he protects himself and paces himself, the first five rounds should belong to him, and that's certainly where he'll be most dangerous to hurt JP and amass points JP has the advantage of stamina, purely due to age, so if he can take the fight past the 5th round, every following round, the advantage goes to JP. Although MT should still be considered dangerous for the one-shot knockout, his combinations should be much less a threat in later rounds. Much depends on the fight strategy of each boxer. An early KO by JP would be a surprise, as would a late KO or TKO by MT would be. Anything can happen, which is the beauty of professional boxing/fighting - each match is its own distinct organism.

  • Far as boxer goes n Jakes fights. Well he hasn't been hit by someone with the type power Mike has. I think he's going to regret getting into the ring with Mike.

  • It will be a draw ...If Tyson is losing his temper ,then Tyson will knock Paul out . That girl friend of Paul will then start crying ,but that is something she will have to overcome . The only real relation between two people is a spiritual relation . Will Tyson loose his immortal reputation as a fighter if he 's loosing this Fight ? Yes or NO ? .The Gloves of Tyson should be half the weight of Pauls if they want to show us that it's a fair and real fight .

  • Wonder if Mike will try to be the next Cus D'Amato. Bare knuckle fighting is better because there is less head punching, it’s easier to break your hand or wrist. Jake Paul needs to come up the rankings and stop fighting “tomato cans” and retired champions. How about taking 10 or 12 round fights against the to 20 fighters
