Part 1: • Michael Jai White Isn'...
--------
Michael Jai White expressed his view on the boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, set to air on Netflix on July 20th. White stated he doesn’t believe Paul, 27, stands a chance against Tyson, 57, despite his younger age. He explained that he doesn't expect Paul to be able to withstand Tyson's attacking style and body shots. He added that Tyson's size and sense of gravity will work significantly in his favor during the fight. Despite acknowledging his own interference in such predictions, White insists that even if Paul loses, it does not equate to a complete loss due to the exposure and financial benefits the fight offers.

    @seanm4082@seanm4082Ай бұрын
    • Maybe, but MJW isn't wrong in what he says. So you have more money, and spend it on bigger shit that costs more, and then you have to hire people to take care of it. The long term investment on all that stuff keeps going up. The difference between 10 million and 1 billion is huge. The difference between 50 million and 200 million is not as severe. You can own a lot of similar items, just maybe not quite as extravagant. And at that point the difference isn't likely much. Both can own a million dollar car, but one can own 5 of them. If the 50 million dollar guy invests his money well he will turn it into much more. If the 200 million dollar guy keep spending, he will wish at one point he hadn't done it like that at one point.

  • I think MJW here is 100% on point. And while he was never a professional fighter of any kind - he is quite an accomplished martial arts tournament participant. Ie: he understands the tactical/technical aspects of fighting with another man. Jake only brings (fairly unrefined) boxing fundamentals and relies soly on overwhelming less skilled fighters with power. Tyson? On the other hand, is an inside specialist, and has skill and technique that Paul has no real counter for. Watch paul fight. He likes to jab at range and pummel opponents form a distance. Nearly zero foot work, mediocre defense, stands flat footed, cant slip, bob or weave. He tends to drop his left hand. Hes a head hunter and rarely works the body. That will NOT work on Tyson, even in his retirement. If tyson goes into this with real purpose and there is no "gentleman's agreement" Jake is going down late round 1, early round 2. Jake has NEVER fought a Peak a boo fighter. And never an opponent with unrelenting forward drive. Working a jab at range will NOT back Tyson up, or keep him at bay. Not with that weird, crouching shoulder rolled bob and weave thing he does. He'll slip the jab like a mongoose, get inside and start working Jake's ribs and liver over, and as soon as paul tries to adapt to that? Thats when the left hook or that vicious short inside uppercut will find his chin. Tyson KNOWS how to make openings. He doesn't wait for them - he makes them. The only way for a fighter like Paul to counter tyson is with unrelenting force and forward drive AND superior timing. Once you have him backing up thats when you might have him. But paul simply doesn't have the skill and timing to do that. Guy is 9 and 1 vs mediocre opponents. Tyson went 50 and 6 with 44 KOs, against some of the finest boxers of the 80s and 90s. What both fighters pad work from recent workouts. The difference is clear.

Please read below Mason 😂 Mike Tyson’s Training Routine and Diet Mike Tyson’s training routine was very grueling and taxing. In the build up to his fight he would train up to 50 - 60 hours a week. CALISTHENIC ROUTINE 200 sit-ups, 50 dips, 50 push-ups & 50 shrugs with weight - 10 times throughout a day, six days a week. DAILY SCHEDULE AT TRAINING CAMP(FOUR TO FIVE WEEKS BEFORE A FIGHT) 4:00 a.m.: get up and go for a three to five mile jog. 6:00 a.m.: come back home, shower, and go back to bed. 10:00 a.m.: wake up and eat breakfast (Oatmeal with fruit, OJ, and vitamins, washed down with a protein shake.) 12pm: ten rounds of sparring and three sets of Calisthenics. 2pm: lunch (carbs, protein, veggies, and water.) 3pm: another four to six rounds of sparring, bag work, slip bag, jump rope, Willie bag, focus mits, and speed bag (Cus was never fond of the speed bag) and 60 minutes on the stationary bike. Three more sets of Calisthenics. 5pm: Four more sets of the same calisthenic routine and then slow shadow boxing or focusing on ONE technique, in order to master the mechanics. 7pm: another balanced meal, usually prepared by Steve Lott. 8pm: a light 30 minutes on the exercise bike for recovery purposes only. NO RESISTANCE. 9pm: watch TV or study fight films and then go to bed. Cumulative reps for the day = 2000 decline sit-ups, 500 bench dips, 500 push-ups, 500 shrugs with a 30 kg barbell, and ten minutes of neck exercises in the ring. Cumulative reps from the start of training until the fight: up to 60,000 decline sit-ups, 15,000 bench dips, 15,000 push-ups, 15,000 shrugs, and five hours of neck exercises. On top of stretching his neck in the ring everyday, Mike would also stretch his upper and lower body, (Cus wanted Ballistic Stretching) mainly performing plows, spread eagle, hurdler’s stretch, butterfly, as well as various stretches for the upper body. This video explains more about what Tyson would go through on a daily basis training for boxing. As you can see his training was very demanding. But Tyson was always up for it. He gets up at 4 in the morning to go for a jog and did this because he thought he had the edge over his opposition. After finish his jog he goes to sleep for a few hours before awaking and starting his training routine
