I will likely never build a van. BUT I am obsessed with watching these damn van builds. This is probably my favorite one so far and one that I could see myself actually living in full time if I didn’t have a kid.

FYI some families with kids DO live in vans :) Don't ever let kids stop you from living. your dream - it could actually be their dream too.
You Know, I’ll never build like this either! However, it’s helping me to literally/intentionally downsize and minimalize! Just learning to practice letting go is all worth it.
@@lionheartadventures3517 alot of kids get upset from having to move over and over again. Maybe some kid don't care if they move alot I don't know but I think it would make a kid upset.
@@happyface4711 The great thing about a van is you don't have to move! All your stuff (unless you store things in other places which is fine) is in your van so even when they move, their home comes with them. And vanlife gives the freedom of staying in one place for as long as needed so if your kid wants to stay in one location for awhile, you can do that.

Agreed! I spend nights watching sprinter camper van conversions and yours is truly the best layout, aesthetics, and functionality for a couple also working remotely on the road. One thing I’d like to know more is how you accommodate the dogs. You mentioned briefly about one sleeping space, but what about their food, potty habits, sleeping space for the other dog, how would you bathe them, etc. Would love if you can incorporate that into your content. Thanks!

@@aleenawee potty habits? You take your dogs outside 3 times a day at least! there's your potty habit. Unless you are one of those slobs that let dogs poop all over your belongings, then van life is not for you.
LOL, I knew that was coming, people say that about every van build video. But to be honest they did some unique things and I also like the idea of the 46 gallon fresh water tank.
The Murphy bed is genius! I saw another build with a bed that had an electrical lift and was controlled by a switch, but this is way cheaper and simpler.
I agree and not only that, electrical can fail at times.
@@lannd6063 there is always a hand pulley......always. Same with slide outs...you can manually do it too. for that exact reason.

Probably the best van build I've ever seen. No nonsense, everything has a function, not cramped and looks gorgeous. I hope one day I can have a van like this and just travel.
Wow! I wish I could shave 50 years off my age and live this life even for a few years. (I'm in my 70s, not too late for some but sorry to say health issues make it too late for me.) This is a visually pleasing, clever use of space, and you are a charming couple. Thanks for the tour of your lovely home, and please be careful and stay safe and well in your travels!

never limit yourself even if you build in spare times or rent one out for a weekend a few times a year! live your dream you only get one life! dont stop yourself from doing anything even if its just a one time thing, at least you can say you done it and have fun and dont regret not doing it❤️

this is 100%, hands down, the best van conversion i have ever watched. besides it being absolutely beautiful, the style, colors, aesthetics, it is so functional and seriously ever bit of space was maximized. it seems so much bigger than any other sprinter with that wheel base.

Finally I’ve been looking for a camper interior where the bed doesn’t just take up 80% of the van space. I understand having a full length bed is important, but when you’re only 5’3 and living in a van on your own, you don’t need a huge one. So having it converted into the wall while still having a couch is perfect. This is a beautiful design

And not only that, suppose you're 5 miles or 1/2 hr away from the closest toilet, what are you going to do? I want to be able to take a shower and use the bathroom whenever I want.

People don’t consider Murphy beds enough in these conversions. Such a huge space saver and it adds to the over all aesthetic of the build giving it a much more open and homey vibe. This has inspired me a little. Your bed is where mine was supposed to go, but I still like the idea of an interior shower/toilet opposite the side door regardless of the space invasion, as opposed to an outdoor shower, but definitely a good idea and easily doable in a DIY sense. I like it a lot 👍👍

I ‘m obsessed with watching these van videos & tiny living yet I live in a huge house. I love the fact that you can travel anywhere you wish I guess. Love your design & your van turned out very nice.
It's great to have both! A big stationary house to live in and a camper van to travel in! I hope I'll have both one day.
Another advantage of doing without propane is the moisture it causes, with the possible resulting mildew/mold issues. BTW, a really great job!

Add a somewhat lower level hand held shower & holder with it's own on/off & water control, so you'll have a clean bidet that's superior to the traditional or Japanese type that spray up from down under & therefore get wee-d on and etc. Handheld bidets are the way to go.
I've watched a lot of small houses and vans/buses as homes and for years, there was only one that I consider the perfect one for me, but this video changed that. I loved this even more! Have a great home there. I hope you live safe, healthy, and happy! Much to love xx
This is one of the best van builds I’ve ever seen! I don’t see many vans where they’ve incorporated a bathroom and a shower but you’ve done that and you did it in a way that makes the van still seem spacious! Very well done!

This floor plan is extremely thought out and everything makes so much sense! I have watch 10000 of these videos for ideas and this has been my favorite one !
Amazingly well designed layout. You didn't miss any detail! I lived in a motorhome on the road in Australia for 7 years. I came across bee swarms, tiny beetle plague, lots of mosquitoes and regularly thousands of flies. My windows and doors were all screened so I had ventilation but no bugs (accept for the beetles) so what do you do about that ? You have no windows that open up for airflow? Also I installed lots of towel rails under all the overhead cupboards, these proved very handy as there is always something wet to put somewhere. Love your van makes me want to hit the road again.
This is my favorite van yet. I really have no desire to live in a van, but I have a mild obsession with watch van builds/tours and hands down yours is my favorite. It's just so well designed.
After watching a million van tour video I can confidently say this is the best, most efficient, beautiful and Dreamy van I have ever seen, God bless you too and I hope it gives you the most wonderful memories
The Murphy Bed idea is genius! Very clean setup overall. If I keep watching these van life videos, I'm going to end up diving into van life. haha

I love the bed as well - and the storage in behind it and the water storage under the floor in the lounge area, all ingenious uses of space! No garage in back, so curious about where they store all the extra tool type bits, and didn't love the sales-y feel that I haven't really encountered with other builders, and I watch a lot!
Thanks so much friend! Sorry if we came across sales-y. I have a background in sales, but I've tried to turn it off entirely, we just really loved our layout and lived and traveled in it for over 3 years. If you ever watch some of our other build videos, I think you'll find we're really not sales-y people, we just really like to share information on how and why we do things the way we do so others who are interested can learn from our wins and our mistakes. Regarding the garage space, most of our tools were actually stored under the murphy bed, in the leftover room beside our batteries and stuff. We didn't bring much for gear, like road or mountain bikes or boards/skis/surfboards so we didn't need the space. We did eventually get ebikes and I mounted a hitch receiver to the van and a bike mount for both bikes. Thanks for the kind words and again sorry if I came across as a pushy salesman in any way.

Truly the most well-planned van, and so beautiful inside. Enough space for all you need without looking crowded. I didn't notice an oven of any kind. Did I miss it? I am thinking of buying your Guide, in case I ever have to downsize to a cottage. 💜💙💚

This van is fabulous & includes every basic need + 2 showers + complete toilet & sufficient water (+ hot). I love the Murphy bed fastened on the side. And you’re set up to be totally off grid 👌regardless of inclement weather! Wow!
Woooow! So many good things about this built. And I’ll go ahead and say it: it looks so much better than that... Canadian couple’s build in so many respects, from the professional-looking finishes, the layout, the colours... it really feels like a quality lil’ apartment instead of a camper. Wow! 🤗👌 The one thing I’d add to make it perfect for me is sliding bug screens in both doors: game changer! Your kitchen layout is very similar to Snow and Kurt’s van, so you could fit a similar screen door to keep your pups inside when needed (and all the spiders out) Congratulations guys, can’t wait to see you hit the road. I think Eamon and Bec's van is amazing also. They went for a fixed bed this time, and their's is just as professional looking... They like their colors, that's all that matters. Both couples spent a lot of time and money and have different tastes.
Shirley, yup, different tastes, hence my saying I’d pay more money for this build. Smarter choices were made as well, such as raising the electrical over the water system.A better build in many regards.💰 Not to mention, I find Maria José and Chase funny, smart and genuine to watch - no cringe factor with these two 🥰
you can totally prefer this van and i think it’s absolutely beautiful and one of the best i’ve seen but i feel like there’s no reason to make it a competition or to use compliments toward TA in a backhanded way to diss eamon and bec. there’s no need to pit them against each other ! peace and love ! have a good day :)

Lots of smart ideas that I'm seeing for the first time, but my biggest takeaway is where you put the dog on a leash while driving! I've been wondering how vanlifers secure their dogs besides using cages, which I don't like. During car rides, I worry that our dog would jump at the dashboard. Thanks for this tip, I love that the dog also gets to enjoy the view!
Add a pull out drawer under the cooking vanity, water proof and a curtain stores in it you can hook up for inside shower…connecting to a floor drain {saw that in another video/great idea}. Also a loo, hidden in a lower cupboard, rotating out if used. Great comfortable concept here. ♥️. Lots of space. Needs pull out Bbq at the back. Also, pull out counter covering top of cooking unit. For sure a window at the sitting area, 2 retractable poles hooked on roof for suspended hammocks, a large screen roll down for the back and side doors 👍👍👍

I love this space, including the Murphy bed which I think gives you the best of both worlds. The only thing I’d do differently is to have a smaller table. But it’s a very functional small space. ❤️
Probably necessary with two people living in it to be honest. Usable work space is always hard to get when living with others.

Great build! Love the layout and flexibility. The only thing I would do different is round the corners on the table and put the mount at the front so all I would have to do is remove the table for sleeping. I know you said you like having guests but for me as a single person, I would make the table smaller and possibly have 2 tables as an option for guests. Love this van so much!

I love the USBs and lights in the ceiling over the drivers and passenger seat. It’s something I’m definitely going to add to mine. You should definitely get a rearview mirror camera. You did a beautiful job

In my camping adventures around this country never enjoyed the idea of making my bed every night...Murphy Bed seems to be a suitable solution.

Great ideas the toilet paper container, trash bin, remote for light. Super electrical system. I like also the flip table at the back and outside shower. Amazing patio outside. TV antenna and wifi booster? One of the best conversion ever seen!

Only thing I would change is make the table part of the floor so you can pull it up and push it down so you don’t have to take it apart

This has to be the most well thought out design for a van build I've ever seen, including professional builds. A couple of questions: . How do you afford to do van builds like these? You've got some really high dollar features in this build, not to mention the van itself. I just saw a glimpse of the skoolie you had previously in this video, and can't wait to go through and look at that in more detail. Are you able to afford these builds through your Instagram and KZhead channels and/or sponsorships? And did you actually do all the build yourselves? There's some pretty high level carpentry skills involved with this build. I have a background in architecture, and learned extensive carpentry skills from my first husband, so I know quality craftsmanship when I see it. How long did it take you to do the build? Thanks for your patience with all my questions. Great job!
Agree. No disrespect, it's a beautiful van, no doubt, and you did a stellar job, but..... Every van vid I have seen involves people with crazy tool skills, crazy tools, lots of cash, AND a place to live while they build, and seemingly all day to do it. Where are the poor folks able to use ingenuity and good skills at 2nd hand everything, with common tools, creating their van-homes? It's the lowest income who could actually use something like this. Even a much simpler, more accessible version would be nice to see.
@@tracylf5409 They do exist! Look for budget van builds on KZhead. But expensive, high skilled builds tend to look the best which gets them high views on KZhead from both vanlifers and people who dream about it.
