Wētā FX artists created every inch of Titan, from the moment the Q-Ship hits the ground to the grim departure of our heroes as Thanos carries out his devastating plan. Experience how they used Newton's law of cooling to create the basis of the spark effect for the portals, how they established a look that conveyed the emotional moment that Thanos snaps his fingers by using growth algorithms to add complexity to the effects and more in Avengers: Infinity War.

  • We should be heaping praise on the VFX artists, regardless of quality of the final product. It’s MAGICAL that they’re able to accomplish this level of filmmaking, even being rushed by execs.

    • Not regardless. Some lazy af intern that puts in 2 hours into a 1200 hour project despite getting paid to doesn't deserve praise.

    • @@theconfusedllama9405 Put it like this, People went to war and died, so we respect the martyr, even if some of them were liars, thieves, cheaters, dishonest or bullies. Same with this, if you can't identify those 2 lazy interns between the 200 workers, you're not valuing the work of 198 workers. Our job as the people who take the entertainment from their work is to respect them. It's their job as a team to decide to keep or remove those lazy interns from their team.

    • a lot of the vfx are done by separate companies... look at movies you enjoy and check out the credits and attack with your own vfx masterpieces. Maybe one of them needs you... but honestly those jobs are quite locked down... as I tried so hard to become vfx, as im from Lighting... and rigging... a lot is just learning and applying your own skills.

      @TheSpendog@TheSpendog14 күн бұрын
    • @@TheSpendog yeah but like what level should you be in to apply, I'm more of a particle/elemental vfx editor but mine don't look this good. These are some Jaw dropping visuals

      @itschuckee6778@itschuckee677814 күн бұрын
    • @@itschuckee6778 thats the thing... most of these jobs are lotteries... you just have to explain your strengths.. but the problem is most of them are not looking. so as if you wanted to be a director of something, youtube is a safer place to try, considering if you look at the creator of the newer shazam series. But Ive been trying to get into other fields within the creative industry, such as doing photography and rigging. however ive tried super hard to get into stunts and vfx with close connections, and most just need someone to fill their weaknesses. whether or not they ask or say... so Im just kind of rambling at this point, but if you really want a job in this field, you must put in hours and hours ... just to... be, do, or even try
