Creating the Final Battle Simulations of Avengers: Infinity War | VFX Breakdown | Wētā FX
Wētā FX artists created every inch of Titan, from the moment the Q-Ship hits the ground to the grim departure of our heroes as Thanos carries out his devastating plan. Experience how they used Newton's law of cooling to create the basis of the spark effect for the portals, how they established a look that conveyed the emotional moment that Thanos snaps his fingers by using growth algorithms to add complexity to the effects and more in Avengers: Infinity War.

those digi doubles are quite literally insane.
@Follow God:God loves you repent it will be worth it God bless you all💕💜♥️❤❤
You can't convince me that their work isn't MAGIC straight up!!!...
That would be ILM
@@billybob-is6bt Crazy to know that it was founded by George Lucas himself
As an engineer I hate this fakeness....that's why I respect directors like Christopher Nolan who are visionary with their handcrafts.
@Follow God:God loves you repent it will be worth it God bless you all💕💜♥️❤❤
We should be heaping praise on the VFX artists, regardless of quality of the final product. It’s MAGICAL that they’re able to accomplish this level of filmmaking, even being rushed by execs.
Not regardless. Some lazy af intern that puts in 2 hours into a 1200 hour project despite getting paid to doesn't deserve praise.
@@theconfusedllama9405 Put it like this, People went to war and died, so we respect the martyr, even if some of them were liars, thieves, cheaters, dishonest or bullies. Same with this, if you can't identify those 2 lazy interns between the 200 workers, you're not valuing the work of 198 workers. Our job as the people who take the entertainment from their work is to respect them. It's their job as a team to decide to keep or remove those lazy interns from their team.
@Follow God:God loves you repent it will be worth it God bless you all💕💜♥️❤
We don't appreciate the vfx enough tbh, this stuff is amazing
They used Slow Mo Guys footage as reference, that's awesome
Could it be the other way around?
This is how I feel the VFX breakdown should be like. The artists actually explaining their process when showing us the breakdown instead of just showing before and after shots.
Best work ever done yet, that changed the world. A milestone in the visual effects industry that will be remembered forever. Happy 2024.
my pc is tweaking just watching this lmao amazing work
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
they have massive servers running and use virtualization for each artists to use. no matter how powerful your pc is, it wouldn't hold a candle in front of the massive racks they are using.
@@rano12321 Imagine how much the gap is going to widen with those latest Blackwell racks.
GOATED Movie and VFX
Maaan I wish we got more fights like this one. This legit felt like an anime fight in real life.
WetaFX and ILM always did mind blowing jobs...
It's always so cool to see these VFX breakdowns
One day I'm 😊 also coming this company
🤞
The work that goes into these effects is incredible. The Dr. Strange vs. Thanos sequence is so good.
you guys are amazing!
This movie is one of the complex vfx project
You guys are on another level. Amazing!
Amazing work guys.
these marvel movies I love, always watching the VFX and animations, so insane great job team.
IW/EG Has some of the best vfx! Love it
idunnowhy this video makes me feel comfortable
you guys are just out of this world, just dreaming in working with you someday
Now if this level of love and dedication to craft is applied to their storyboarding and characterization processes
I was crying when I was wathing the fadings of the people in the movie at the launch date!I was sitting at the 1st row for watching IMAX!Cuz the every other ticket was sold out!
I didn’t understand a single thing you said but keep it up you guys are awesome
Ironically, there's always so much on-screen (cgi) noise that we rarely if ever get to fully appreciate the work that is put into these action scenes.
wonderful
now just imagine how much work will eventually go into Secret Wars' CGI?? that movie is gonna be huge
1:05 I wish to learn this type of magic ;3
Cool!
Awesome
When does someone learn these things, like these kinds of movies are not that old, and is like there work is at its peak from the get go.
Nice!!!
I thought they just relied on ILM (they worked with them too).
that's a very impresive work!
1:10 did they just confirmed that Mark 50 is the bleeding edge armor? I mean I know it's basically inspired by it. However, no one from Marvel Studios hasn't confirmed that yet.
I’d like to work with you guys one day on my project
do you guys teach or have online classes 😃
Wait, are you saying that closeup of Star Lord during the blip was a digi-double for the whole shot, or a handoff from footage to digital?!? 👀
It transitions from the real shot of Chris Pratt to the digi double after he begins to dust off. Still impressive as heck tho.
Im confused did you recreate the scene or where you the studio that help marvel?
weta is the leading cgi studio for movies
Weta does the cgi for alot of the movies out there, most MCU movies are done by them, they also did Avatar. ILM is also another great cgi company that did vfx for star wars movies and jurrassic park/world movies.
Maybe I heard "simulation working in unity"? Are there parts that were rendered in Unity? That would be amazing
Pretty sure they mean how multiple parts of the same simulation where simulated separately but still work as one whole
So Basically You can do T'Challa in any movie you want now
Which software use for simulation
SideFX Houdini
Houdini and their proprietary stuff.
😮😮😮💯💯💯👏👏👏
How Can I apply for an internship?
Houdini soft ?
can blender pull this off?
Entonces me están diciendo que thanos no es real?
👏❤❤❤❤❤😍
Damn how do you even apply for these jobs
a lot of the vfx are done by separate companies... look at movies you enjoy and check out the credits and attack with your own vfx masterpieces. Maybe one of them needs you... but honestly those jobs are quite locked down... as I tried so hard to become vfx, as im from Lighting... and rigging... a lot is just learning and applying your own skills.
@@TheSpendog yeah but like what level should you be in to apply, I'm more of a particle/elemental vfx editor but mine don't look this good. These are some Jaw dropping visuals
@@itschuckee6778 thats the thing... most of these jobs are lotteries... you just have to explain your strengths.. but the problem is most of them are not looking. so as if you wanted to be a director of something, youtube is a safer place to try, considering if you look at the creator of the newer shazam series. But Ive been trying to get into other fields within the creative industry, such as doing photography and rigging. however ive tried super hard to get into stunts and vfx with close connections, and most just need someone to fill their weaknesses. whether or not they ask or say... so Im just kind of rambling at this point, but if you really want a job in this field, you must put in hours and hours ... just to... be, do, or even try
one of these days AI is oing to enable the regular joe to create all this.
1:51 Markiplier
:)❤
Starlord was CGI???????
No they built a model so the transition between real shot and dusting would be smoother.
saying that this doesnt look right is just straight up offensive for these people creating these.
OK! But I prefer the practical effects-it was more magical to know that the alien's saliva was gel or that Spider-Man's web was made from hot glue!
BRO REPLACED AI IN TERMS OF VFX SHIT
It's not a movie, it's a cartoon.
Transformers 1-3 still have better CGI than any of the avengers films
Too bad the background environments look horrible. The characters themselves are okay, expected more from WETA on these movies though, they’re just not that great looking. The only standout thing was Thanos.
Are you kidding me
Marvel effects look like absolute garbage tho not really something to aspire to
hire me 😥😥 i will learn everything
How to male bzllshitCGI for a bad movie. 🤦♀️
