  • As someone used to winning, Estrada is a class act getting right up and shaking hands, not throwing his headgear...Props to that young man.

    • @@kylecrain8922 Yeah...he's a two-timer (though they said 3X Champ...I guess they're including the "invitational," in 2021)...but he'd won every match in Cali state tournaments in HS. And a 3X Champ in Cali is a BIG deal. But you should expect him to be classy, not throw a fit.

    • @scourge8097 Yes I understand how significant winning a state title in california is. I grew up in wisconsin wrestling and we unfortunately have three divisions. Pretty dumb. We still have a pretty tough tournament though. I would say we're top ten but nowhere near california or PA depth wise

  • Man, Estrada has to be just feeling sick. He was in on that shot so deep so many times. There is nothing easier than watching Wrestling and yelling what you SHOULD do(it's always obvious WATCHING it). But damn, just make Root move! Dump it, elevate it, climb up and pop your hips in! All SOOO easy to say when Wrestling one of the best in the Country, but that's a match that he should have won IMO.

    • @@Rene390Even Penn has two. Cali has ~30,000 kids in one division. It's the toughest State Title to win. But saying Estarda and Root wouldn't make it out of the FIRST DAY in either state? That's...just supremely ignorant. Penn is the #1 Wrestling state as a whole, but...again, TWO divisions. Cali has 1.

  • Watched this a few times. Wonder why Root was never called for stalling. 2nd period he flattened out on every start and did nothing on bottom. 3rd period the other kid shot 4 times to his zero, just pushing. Just my observation.
